My wife and I had the perfect return to the Highlands in Louisville after a ten-year hiatus from when we lived there. Recently, we found ourselves relocating across the country with two little ones in tow, and we needed a few nights to stop over, coincidentally during Derby week, no less.This location was wonderful for what we needed and wanted. The interior was cozy, spacious, yet manageable. Great walkability with immediate access to amazing restaurants, bars, and parks - all immersed within the historic beauty of the Highland’s.While you’re right on a busy intersection of Grinstead, the noise was never an issue for us - even with two kiddos in need of a good night’s rest. In fact, this location places you at the core of the neighborhood, as if you are a resident yourself.

Everything was clean and neat. Ample towels and fine kitchen. Great location. Yes it was noisy due to the St Patrick s Day Parade and festivities and a tornado warning but it was quiet enough on the other nights. The host was great. Communicated well. Very walkable location.

The main concern was the cleanliness. There was a notable smell as we came up the stairs. My son thought it smelled like a wet dog, my husband and I at first thought cooking odor. The apartment had many air fresheners but not nearly enough. We used febreeze liberally but every time it dissipated, the very strong smell was back. It was to such an extent that we later wondered if it was smell was coming from the dumpster located below the kitchen window. Add to this that the floors were filthy, partially from a recent art hang, but in general, and we did not feel the apartment was clean.

We had a great stay! So much action a block away from this property. Great restaurants, coffee shops, breweries within walking distance. But also very walkable residential neighborhood with beautiful homes, parks and a really historic cemetery nearby (Muhammad Ali and Colonel Sanders). This is an old home that has been nicely remodeled with all the amenities you would need. Extremely clean property with nice design style inside.

A Cool Place

This was a nice property with comfortable bed linens and a fun atmosphere. It was within walking distance to many fun places on Bardstown Road, including Carmichael's Bookstore (definitely recommend).

Stayed one night for an event

Our one night stay was great! This townhouse had everything we needed to accommodate our family of all ages. We were very glad that there were sound machines in each room because it is located in a busy area and there was quite a bit of road noise and sirens happening throughout the night. Our only downside was finding parking. This was not the fault of the property owner but be prepared to walk a ways if it’s busy and the spots in front are taken.

Clean, comfortable, great host, amazing location.

From the moment we arrived we knew this place was perfect for our crew's Louder than Life experience. Upon entering, the place was clearly very well taken care of and offered a premium feel. The location is a huge plus. Bardstown road has so much to offer, we stayed for 6 days and we feel like we barely scratched the surface. Everywhere we went had a great atmosphere and even better food. My crew was joking that this place was so perfect that we need to book it in advance every year. We just might!
