The property was beautiful and well taken care of.

Spacious rooms. They forgot to tell us breakfast was included at a nearby hotel until our second day; be sure to ask for your breakfast vouchers.

Very quaint, somewhat secluded fro the business of Los Cabos. Excellent restaurants close by. Very helpful staff. HIGHLY recommended.

,Love El Encanto. It is the Mexico we always search for and seldom find. Nice relaxing hotel with a very caring staff. we felt like family after five days. Also love San Jose. The Thursday night Art Walk is a must! The Cascabel restaurant next door is on a beautiful patio. The food is excellent and the service is beyond excellent. the prices are very fair. Don't miss Mexican breakfast here.

Beautiful spot, laid back atmosphere. Would stay again.

Nice hotel, very convenient to restaurants, art galleries, city square. Everything is very walkable. Beautiful grounds and pool at main building. Suite motif and decor is outstanding. Two areas of improvement would be time to access to hot water and better temperature control on air conditioning. Personnel were helpful and responsive.

We were excited about a one night getaway for the Art Walk & our first experience in San Jose (we stay in Cabo). Upon check in, it seemed as though both office workers had never handled a straightforward check in before. Also, taking multiple photocopies of my ID & credit card!! We were then told that our room was across the street? Pretty much in an alleyway...our door did not seem remotely secure, the A/C did not work, the TV did not work (we used or own batteries to get things going eventually, as you cannot Contact the desk after certain hours). Sheets were not super clean, so we slept on top of the bed to be safe. The staff also did not explain that at a certain time, a locked gate would be closed to our alley (yes, we had a key on our keychain for it), but it would have been nice to know these things. The main hotel looked quite traditional & quaint...it would have been nice to experience that, as those photos are the reason we booked & spent our one night there.

Great location, staff and amenities. Highly recommend.

good value for the money. King suites are very nice

Great location, large room with AC. Make sure you arrive before they close as there is no overnight staff. We just made it by 11:00 pm when they were closing.

They tried to jack us around at checkout regarding taxes. Stand your ground.

Generally good experience. Great location. Very courteous and helpful staff, especially Eric.

The location was great and the outside appearance was beautiful. We reserved a Pool Suite but we would have been better off getting a standard room for less money. The bed was soft and jiggled when anyone moved so it did not provide a sound sleep. There was music blaring until 11 pm so it would not have mattered if you were inside the courtyard or across the street. Breakfast was promised when we reserved but we received no information and later found out that there should have been a coupon for a free breakfast at a nearby restaurant. The hotel restaurants were closed in the morning. We were provided with two small bottles of water (not enough to brush teeth and make coffee. There was a larger bottle in the room with a sign that said we would be charged $3 if we used it. We complained because our information sheet said that Pool Suites had unlimited water. We received two more small bottles of water. We arranged for our own taxi to the airport and the cost was half of what the hotel had listed for a shuttle.

If you're tired of the usual resorts, hotels near bars and clubs, this nice little boutique hotel would be a good change. It has the quaint charm of a secluded hotel with lush grounds, which is also an invitation for mosquitoes. Located on a small street in the quiet Old Historic area and Art District within walking distance of shops, galleries, and restaurants. The central plaza is about 2 blocks away. Besides that, there isn't much else to do here. The hotel property has 2 buildings, standard rooms are in a separate building across the street from the main building and poolside suites are in the main building. Possible to take the bus on the corner down to the beach. No telephones or irons in standard rooms. Mattress was a bit too soft for my preference. Rooms and grounds are very clean. We were there in the off season, so the restaurant in back of the hotel was closed but you can tell from the large grounds and set-up that it would be beautiful when up and running. Staff are very nice and friendly. Carolina at the front desk was very helpful, she helped us make phone calls to confirm our tours and shuttle pick up. Reasonable rates, why pay big $ for a hotel when you'll be out and about all day.

Quaint hotel with a great staff and fantastic location in the heart of San Jose del Cabo.

Super friendly staff with a beautiful pool area right in the middle of the historic art district with plenty of great restaurants close by and an OXXO a couple of blocks away. Room was clean and comfortable, and opened into a gorgeous courtyard.

The location is great and the hotel is what I would have expected for being downtown. It's close to everything. Great art galleries, restaurants, craft beer, taco stands, access to amenities, etc.

An Apology regarding the breakfast vouches, usually the email confirmation states that, but we will make sure to tell the clients upon arrival. We are glad to see you enjoyed your stay. Best Regards
