Safari Inn, a Coast Hotel

The room was clean bed comfortable but the A/C in room 110 makes such loud vibrating noises that it is not usable while trying to sleep.

Loved the free shuttle to Universal Studios, Warner Brother Studios and Downtown Burbank. The staff was quite friendly. Even when visiting their sister hotel, next door, their restaurant and bar staff were great. Shout out to Dennis, the bartender! The only thing I did not like was the $250 charge on my credit card "just in case" we caused damages to the room or smoked in the room. It takes about 3-5 business days for the money to go back into my account. Will stay here again when I visit California.

Stayed here for Universal Studios, arrived early but front desk took cell # to call me when room ready and recommended great foot massage place to unwind! comfortable rooms, would upgrade the pillows but minor issue. Very accommodating shuttle service, pre book shuttle times but can change if needed. Close to downtown for great dining and shopping. Highly recommend this hotel

Burbank is a great place to stay. Nice Motel. Can't go wrong. Would stay there again.

We stayed here the night before thanksgiving then went to Universal the next day. Staff were very friendly, rooms were clean and neat, and the shuttle to the studio was great so we didn't have to bring our car even when we had checked out. Would stay there again.

We arrived and check in was quick and easy. We then arrived to the room to find the beds with very tiny pillows and only thin blankets and sheets. We called the front desk and asked for four extra pillows and two extra blankets. We were told that we were not allowed the extra pillows we wanted, and why did we feel we needed extra blankets and that there were blankets already in the room. Really? The host was quite rude about it and we felt that we shouldn't ask for anything else the rest of the stay. Room was dirty with cobwebs hanging from the ceiling the entire time. Bathroom vent looked like it had never been cleaned, and when we turned the heat on, the filter smelled very dusty. We had one early morning where a leaf blower was being used for hours early in the morning. Not appreciated. Affordable laundry services are available for your convenience. Cleaning staff was pleasant and always greeting guests Check out was weird. They prefer that you wait until they check your room to see if they should return your room deposit. It is an old fashioned check out where you have to check out with the front desk. The price is good, but we probably won't be staying there again.

Well worth the price conveniently located, some interesting history!!

Have seen it in the movies, now stayed there. Fun, zebra/safari themed motel, with a great pool and rooftop lounge area. Free shuttle to Universal Studios. Easy walk for meals at a variety of restaurants.

Don't hesitate to book here. Stayed 4 nites with my two adult kids, would def stay again! Great restaurant "Talleyrand" just down the street, CVS and great donut shop also.

Me and my wife had a great experience at the Safari Inn. We choose to stay there in Burbank, CA. Overall the Hotel was nice and the staff was excellent. The only thing we didn't like was the laundry room facilities. They were kind of okay but it had a bad smell and it was hot. Other than that the Safari Inn is a great place to stay its 10 mins from Universal Studios. Also The area surrounding was fairly safe and the people were helpful.

Typical 2-floor, exterior room access motel convenient to Burbank TV and movie studios. Large drugstore, decent restaurant, and funky shopping close by. Room interior better quality than expected for this type of motel. Located on a thoroughfare but traffic noise was never noticeable. If housekeeping hadn't failed to fill the empty Kleenex dispenser (which I needed due to a cold), I would rate a little higher.

I booked this hotel because I have a thing for old California. But as it turns out it was in one of my favorite movies!!! So good!

Hotel was nice. Front desk staff were very friendly. We liked them a lot. If we had to stay longer, it would have been nice to have had a microwave in the room. It was not necessary for this stay. Enjoyed the comfortable bedding and pillows.

Nice little retro motel with easy access to everything. Many restaurants within walking distance. Very clean.

The hotel was in close proximity to where our daughter was moving. Excellent customer service. There were booklets with things to do around Burbank and LA. Clean and comfortable. Only downside was no complimentary breakfast but there is a restaurant next door.

For the most part, this hotel was a great value. There were only a few things that I had issues with. 1. The parking lot is horrible! They tried to make too many spaces in a small area, resulting in a space that you can hardly get out of without hitting another car. There were times that I had to back out of the driveway because a large vehicle was taking so much space that I could drive through to the exit. 2. They need to steam the carpets. Although clearly vacuumed, and neat - my white socks turned brown after walking on the carpets. Otherwise, the stay was great. The staff was exceedingly helpful and nice. I will stay here again next time I'm in town.

I love the location..very closed to the places where we want to go..universal studio, hollywood walk of fame and wax museum. Very nice and accomodating staff. We came so early before the check in time but she was able to give us the room at 11am..we were able to rest after the long drive. Btw,we didn't use the wifi and the amenities that's why I just put 1 in the ratings. Overall..we enjoyed our stay! :-)

These folks are shakedown artists!(apparently the not-to-be-named company whose site this is on does not want harsh comments, but there is nothing good I could say about this place, so...) Just do yourself a favor and don't stay here!

Hotel was clean and neat. Rooms were a little on the small side, but were enough since we were only using the room to sleep and not hang out much at the hotel. Decent pool and great food that is within walking distance. The best part was the location, mins to Griffith Observer, Universal Studios and WB Studios. The traffic on Olive street was never very busy, which made driving back from the the 405 or 101 a nice relief.

Both my friend and I grew up in Burbank. I had never stayed there. When we were meeting up for a few days, he suggested we stay there for nostalgia reasons. I LOVED it. Close to everything we were doing. Clean room and we were completely comfortable.

Thank you for your feedback. We're happy to hear you enjoyed your overall stay and were satisfied with the quality of the accommodations as well as the level of service and amenities provided. We apologize for the issue with the $250, however this is just a security deposit for incidentals that we require as most hotels do. We look forward to welcoming you back to Burbank in the future.
