Staff was really great and helpful! I was bummed that there wasn’t more breakfast options for room service and that the menu wasn’t available to see the evening before. At other hotels I’ve ordered the night before with the target time. I had to leave for work in the morning, so couldn’t wait to order and wait, so would have been great to order the night before. Since I didn’t know what was available I had to make other breakfast plans (needed good breakfast as I wasn’t sure when I’d get access to food later in the day). Anyway, loved the room and wow great staff. Cheers!

Very lovely hotel with amazing architecture and a great rooftop patio and pool. The rooms are very overpriced for the small size though and one drink on the rooftop bar will cost you about $20 usd with tax and tip so we didn't spend much time up there. One Redbull can and one small orange juice from the mini bar was a $30 usd charge after we checked out. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful and the location of the hotel is very conveniently located and close to lots of dining and shopping options. Overall we enjoyed our stay even though it was a splurge!

Love the look and feel of the hotel. The staff was great. I will return!

Hotel rooms were comfortable but did care for the room layout with sinks next to beds. Very disappointed with the pool. It was more like a wading pool, Very small. Hotel like a party hotel with lots of events.

Great hotel, cool style, the architecture is great, the neighborhood gives you the city feel you might miss most places in LA, and the rooftop bar/pool is amazing. Also, love the record player in each room ;)

Elevators, rooms, and halls need work. Dark and dingy. Staff were friendly, yet I’m still reviewing some odd charges that came from the hotel. Slow in resolving. Location and the theater are amazing if you’re coming to see a show.

I enjoyed the overall aesthetic of my room and loved the view.

A unique old space in a great location with a friendly staff. Several things need to be improved upon if they in a growing post-pandemic competitive market: 1. Parking. Not clear where to park. We parked in a flanking lot after holding to speak to someone. The lot was not open for overnight parking. The lot was reserved for an event that night so we paid, and then had to pay again to move our car to another a few hours later. 2. Bell service. Staff didn't offer when we mentioned we had luggage a couple hundred yards away. 3. Amenities. We heard staff mentioning different amenities to each guest and forgetting some. No consistent script for check-in. We had to call down a few times to ask. E.g. Wireless, pool, etc. 4. Room: We had a top-floor loft. Great views, fairly clean, fun design, and add-ons like Turntable, Guitar, Radio. There is a very strange and unfinished/dirty design feature which is unfinished soundboard on several walls. This should be changed. 5. Housekeeping: Housekeeping is very untrained. On check-out day (noon checkout), they entered at 9:15AM and again at 11:50AM. We were in the room both times. 6. Locked out. Even though checkout is noon, the hotel locked our keys at 11:00AM and blamed it on an old system so we had to go all the way back down after arriving back to our room at 11:25AM. 7. "Upstairs" (rooftop restaurant). The food and servers were top-notch. The hostess, however, needs more training. She was not welcoming or polite or communicative.

The Ace offered excellent customer service and great cocktails. The location is good in terms of proximity.

Did not meet our standards and was over priced. Antonio the Mgr was outstanding.

Definitely not staying again! They put me in such a bad 2 double beds room although I booked king. Apparently they were sold out and then they were giving king rooms to other people who were checking out after me. I asked for the late check out and they said not possible, all sold out and then i checked, they had available rooms. Honestly that was at least what they could do.

Quite easily the worst hotel I've stayed in. There's nothing one can do to improve it.

It was very loft like in downtown as a feel. The room was minimal while also seeming trendy. It was very LA.

Thanks for sharing, Paul! While it's true our pool is not the best for swimming laps, it does serve as a delightful oasis when the sunshine hits hard. A great space to activate, we host an eclectic mix of entertainment on our rooftop. There's something for everyone. We look forward to helping you find the right fit at your next stay!
