The Strand Palace Hotel

The hotel was wonderful. I upgraded my room to an Executive Single. It was a bit small, but clean with a very comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was the best!! I think I enjoyed the breakfast most. I would definitely stay there again. It is central to the heart of London.

My experience was amazing didn't think i would fall in love with a country and being there made me want to stay there and not go back home.

Located right in the heart of London! Easy walk to all attractions and public transportation. The restaurants were a little expensive within the hotel so we ate at places right on the Strand. The rooms were always clean and everything we needed to use was replaced daily towels, soaps, trash emptied. We enjoyed our stay and we recommend it to everyone!

Located on the Strand in the heart of London. Gets 5 stars on location.

I found the hotel to be very lovely and safe. The room was cozy, but enough space for my luggage and stuff. Every inch was used in an efficient manner. The complimentary coffee/tea with biscuits in room was a delicious treat and great way to start/end my day. Also, I really enjoyed the surprise bottle of delicious red wine. THANK YOU! The neighborhood felt as safe as one can be in the City area of London. There were homeless people strewn across Covent Gardens and around the blocks near the hotel. However, this seems to be more of a London problem, than just the hotel as I noticed it across neighborhoods. I felt safe walking alone up until about 10-11p when the shows let out. After that, it was an increase feeling of needing to be even more on your guard. One just has to mindful walking in London, whether it's day or night. The hotel itself felt very safe and secure. It had a security feature that required you to use your hotel key to get into the building after a certain time, so that was good. But for location, you could not really do better. It was located off major bus routes, near 2 Tube stations (3 lines) & a Ferry stop. A lot of major sites were also within a 15-20 min walking distance. I truly appreciated the luggage storage as it allowed me to maximize my time in London on my arrival & departure. THANKS!!

Perfect location, nice hotel, nice staff, good price. The only problem was the lack of air conditioning. Normally this would not be an issue, but in hot summer weather the room can get really hot. A fan was included but an AC would be better.

I needed a hotel in the Covent Garden area and the Strand Palace was perfect. I've now stayed there two times and will continue to return on Business trips to London.

Check in time was early and I had to pay extra money I have never seen this before in any other hotel

We stayed here for six days in a standard king room on a high floor. All are requests were met. It is not a fancy hotel and rooms are small, but it is clean and centrally located. Housekeeping staff are all very good.

Excellent experience! Loved my stay here. Great location!

While a great location, our room was tiny and stuffy. No air conditioning. Scaffolding up outside window facing other rooms. Did not seem safe to leave window open because of scaffolding. Result was very muggy room. They provided small fan but that was only of marginal help. Bed mattress was hard and not too comfortable.

Helpful staff clean rooms and perfectly located! I would definitely stay there again!

I have been staying at this hotel for about 27 years and it just keeps improving. Even saw improvement from last stay in Nov of 2016.

There was a fire in the basement of the hotel on Easter Sunday night just after 11pm. We were out of the hotel for about three hours. There was no effort to give to us as a price break or some perk because of the fire. I must say that the staff did the best they could with the entire population of the hotel on the street. The Savoy Hotel across the street welcomed us out of the cold. Once we got inside it rained as well.

Nice hotel. Very clean. Easy distance walking to shopping.

Great location, friendly staff and concierge. Rooms were small, but we didn't spend time in them anyway.

Staff very friendly, room clean but not well appointed.

Took advantage of the theatre district and the Trafalgar Square area, Whitehall, the Clarence Pub

A hotel at the best possible location, best people but the sad part is the old property which was not designed to be a hotel but converted or someone who designed it good luck is all i can say.

The Strand Palace is an excellent choice for those who enjoy the West End, Covent Garden, Soho, and surrounding areas. It is convenient to theatre, music, restaurants, museums, and transportation. Staff is very pleasant. I could walk to the London Transport Museum, The National Gallery, and the National Portrait Gallery. I walked to and from both theatres that I attended and local restaurants.
