Great location

I was in a solo room. While all was fine regarding cleanliness, etc, the walls were INCREDIBLY thin. I could hear my neighbor during my entire stay, whole phone conversations. 11pm, 5am, 7am. Not loud conversations, either - so there was nothing I could really report to the front desk. She was speaking in a totally normal volume. It's the just that the walls are PAPER thin. Unfortunately, I felt like I couldn't get a proper night sleep which affected my trip.

Great location - south end of Covent Garden- near Tube from Heathrow and to all points of London. Great shopping and dining nearby. We had a small but great room. Perfect as we only slept there. Enjoyed breakfast in hotel - great buffet.

The air conditioning wasn't functioning properly, and even after being moved to another room, the issue persisted. It was quite distressing after a long 36-hour flight. Eventually, the maintenance person arrived and fixed it at midnight. However, the room had a hazardous layout, as the toilet's position led to me bumping my head on the door handle multiple times, resulting in persistent headaches. Despite informing the staff about my headaches, they disregarded my concerns. To make matters worse, I had paid extra to upgrade to a supposedly better room, which turned out to be uncomfortable and even caused injuries. I strongly recommend relocating the toilet paper holder to a safer height to ensure the health and safety of your guests.

Was very convenient and walkable to all the theaters and other sights.

The staff at check in and check out were not friendly and did not talk to me, very transactional. They could have said something like, "How was your flight" or "Did you enjoy your stay in London". Also, in addition to the room being very small there was a cement wall on the wall the bed was against. Not really safe.

Good location, and attentive, helpful staff!

We had a really nice stay here. My only criticisms were that there’s no room service for breakfast, though their promotional materials said 24 hour room service. And there was no ramp for the stairs from the street and no one to help with my heavy bags. But everything else was really nice.

The door men are great!

Hotel location, staff members, room! Everything was 10/10

Very centrally located hotel. Lobby and restaurant area were very clean and modern, but once you go to the rooms area, the hallways looked dingy because of the dark walls and carpet. Room bathroom was not big, but it was a decent size, modern and clean. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

great location friendly staff good food

Our stay was wonderful. Plenty of choices for breakfast each day. Lobby is full of comfortable seating. Location is ideal for heading out to explore on foot. Room was great and bed was comfy. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel was everything I had hoped for and more the hotel itself was immaculate the staff was wonderful and went above and beyond location was excellent for getting around the breakfast was wonderful need I say more I was very very pleased with my stay at the Strand the Palace Hotel and highly recommended to anyone traveling to London

Location was perfect for my first visit to London

We loved the central location of The Strand Palace. The room (Deluxe Reburbished King) was aesthetically ordinary, compared to some of the other places we stayed (Malmaison Oxford and The Standard London), but we found the bathroom design and technology to be superior and functional. We faced the streets, so it could get a bit loud (some street construction in the early am one day and pumped-up attendees for the many musicals in the area performing their favorite sets after the shows let out in the evenings). On the weekend mornings, this large facility could use a few more elevators, but the place grew on me the longer I stayed.
