Excellent hotel with super friendly staff and you can ell it has great management. I was especially impressed by the stylish decor and great value for money.

Perfect location lovely hotel even traveling for 2 weeks and was so happy with the service and our pretty room

A shout out to Evelin Kubo! She helped make our stay comfortable and tours we took the best. Although, at first glance the included breakfast may seem expensive it's well worth it. We found breakfast food a bit wanting in this centrally located downtown location and the full breakfast and buffet at the Rubens is second to none. The Hotel is located directly across from Buckingham Palace and an easy walk from Victoria Station from which both the subway and central rail system are available. We landed at the Gatwick Airport and found our way to the Hotel by taking the Gatwick Express to Victoria Station. One thing though, we found the Hotel's guest wi-fi somewhat wanting and it has not been secured. We highly recommend this hotel!

The Rubens was fantastic! The staff was incredibly helpful and polite. The room was cozy and comfortable. Everything was spotless. The location was perfect; it was close to everything we wanted to see. I would stay there again! Check out the guard museum down the street. The curator was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable.

This hotel is a great place to stay. Close to many attractions, the train and the tube.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel at every level, because we booked at an excellent internet rate through Orbitz. The staff were exceptional. The room and bath were very comfortable, while we didnt expect or get spaciousness at this price in London. Wifi worked well, but electricity blew out in our room while we were away. They fixed it right away. The location is superb, with Victoria station nearby. Walking in St James park and lunching at the cafe in the park was great. Breakfast at the hotel was ok but pricey; being on a budget, we went next door to the Pret a Manger every morning instead. We would come back happily again.

Marvelous and we plan to return. Goo connection to tube and bus and right across from Buckingham Palace.

This is definitely not a four star hotel. The pictures show a luxurious hotel when in fact it is on the lower side. The pictures have vibrant colors when in reality everything looks old. The lobby is very small. Two elevators fit three persons only. The room we stayed at (Classic Double) had 20-30 year old faucets, the varnish of the wooden parts was old and chipped off. The staff, on the other hand, was very professional and very courteous.

A beautiful hotel, very pleasant and helpful staff. The location is excellent. My room was clean, comfortable, quiet and well attended to on a daily basis. I would certainly recommend this hotel or return one day.

The hotel has all the elegance of an old hotel with all the modern convenience of a brand new building. The location is right in the middle of the "action" with a staff that is always pleasant and willing to help with anything you need, from arranging a cab to recommending places to see and eat. My friend and I enjoyed our stay completely. Some of the staff became like friends in the 12 days we stayed there, asking about our day and taking time to listen to what we had to say. If you want a great hotel in central London, I recommend the Rubens.

From check in check out, The Rubens Hotel was a smash for both me and my friend who were fulfilling a life-long dream of visiting London! The lobby and restaurant staff were caring, attentive, and helpful beyond their job descriptions. They truly became friends over the week that we stayed with them. The hotel is minutes from major tourist attractions such as Westminster Abby, the Houses of Parliament/Big Ben, and is right across the street from the Royal Mews and Buckingham palace. I will definitely be recommending this place to friends, and keeping it in mind for my own future travels.

Nice hotel, conveniently located to attractions, train and subway. Business district so pretty quiet at night.

Luxury room, really nice staff, perfect location for everithing, amazing restaurants. We can't look for better place.

It's an old hotel, and my room was very small. But it was charming, and the location was excellent. Considering the location, it was a very good value. It would not have been good for a family vacation, but for me on a business trip, it was fine.

Price was a little high but located near Buckingham Palace and by plenty of hop on hop off buses it was easy to see a lot of the city.

Our vacation was in July of 2014. The hotel was beautiful! The staff was attentive, kind and extremely helpful. This was the first time my 13 year old daughter and I traveled alone to London. The location was conveniently located we walked everywhere and always felt really safe and welcome! We would definitely recommend and return to the Rubens!

So the rooms are small. This hotel is across the street from the Royal Mews, a mere 2-3 minute walk to the front of Buckingham Palace, St. Jame's , and Green parks. You can even walk to Harrod's. The Victorie Underground is close, and if you are a city person, it is an was walk to Westminster, Trafalgar Square, Parliament, and Westminster Abbey. The staff were great. The transformer that I brought for my wife's curling iron was broken, but the bell man brought one up for us. That was very much appreciated. The concierge booked us into a restaurant for our anniversary, there was always someone to open the door, and getting a bucket of ice sent up to the room took but a minute. There was even a piano player in the lounge every night. This was a nice hotel that had that tiny European feel yet remained comfortable. I could complain about the room size, but I wasn't there to do business or spend much time in the room. There was a bed that was comfortable and a sizable bathroom. It was just a very pleasant stay.

A good choice to discover London, 10 minutes to the Buckingham Palace and 5 minutes to the Victoria station. The staff is very nice. The room was small but very quiet.

Excellent hotel, with outstanding service. Would defiantly return to the hotel. Great location.

A great location, and generally excellent service as well. The price, however, was high, even with a discount, though perhaps not enormously so by London standards.
