This is a beautiful boutique hotel located in Chelsea & very close to museums, parks & restaurants. The rooms are gorgeously appointed & the staff is very friendly. A couple of things happened that prevented me from giving it 5 stars. About 9:00pm all my lights went out. I didn't think anything of it because I was watching a movie on my computer & having flown in that afternoon, was ready for bed anyway. However, when I got up to use the bathroom around midnight, I couldn't get any lights to work. And because it was midnight, there was no point in calling reception. By 7:00am when I awoke, they still weren't working. They wanted to move me to another room but because I was departing in 2 hours that didn't make sense. In the end, they gave me keys to another room so that I could put on make-up & brush my teeth - an inconvenient but viable option. Unfortunately, there aren't any windows in the bathrooms which makes them very dark. Since I had used points for the room, there was nothing to comp for the inconvenience except my room service the night before, which I very much appreciated. My only other suggestion is that they offer more vegan friendly options on their room service menu & the breakfast buffet.

The Franklin hotel is located in the Chelsea neighborhood. It is beautifully decorated with an Italian/ modern charm. The staff (concierge) was wonderful and went beyond in making our stay memorable. One late night I needed something from a store and they happily got it for me! It was cold and raining that night but it was not a problem for them. It is close to the Victoria Museum where the Christian Dior exhibit was held. The concierge was fantastic in getting me tickets to the sold out first day event. It is a 10 minute walk to Harrods for luxury shopping and many more. Close to Elan cafe.... the most instagrammed cafe in a London. Chose this hotel for the decor and convenience to shops close by, but the service was what impressed me the most!!!!

Had a wonderful stay at the Franklin hotel. Location is along a quiet street yet accessible. The Franklin restaurant which serves Italian food was also impressive. I would definitely stay there again.

We had such a great time staying at the hotel recently. The property is small but very charming including a shared garden. The location is central and easy to access the city. Our hotel room was very large compared to other hotels I've stayed at in London and was comfortable and well appointed. The staff was so helpful with everything from laundry to restaurant recommendations to just being a friendly face when we came home. I would absolutely return here next time I am in London.

The Franklin has provided the best possible experience to my entire family during a 2 days celebration. Attention to each detail! From room position, service and care. Each member of the staff has been amazing, kind, discreet and patient. From the booking to the Michelin star bespoke dinner, to the service after my family left... all perfect. Location is quiet yet in the very centre of London. A Townhouse with the service of a 5 🌟 L

We stayed here for two nights, having chosen the hotel for its location. The young staff are lovely, and the rooms, while small, are comfortable and attractively designed. Downside? The service at breakfast was very poor: I had to find the menu myself, half the buffet had not been laid out 40 minutes after breakfast service had theoretically started, and when we did order cooked dishes, they took over over 20 minutes to arrive, even when we were the only couple in the dining room. On the second morning, the waitress nearly dropped a heavy dish of eggs on me, and those eggs were tepid. On the basis of the morning experience, we decided to cancel our dinner reservation there. If breakfast at a hotel is included, then perhaps you shrug and forget about it - but with some fanfare we had been told on arrival told that there was a special offer and the price was reduced from £35 to £25. That level of pricing is not uncommon in London, and we have paid more at places like the Rosewood, but even in SW3, if you want to charge that much, it needs to be perfect, and this was not. On departure, the management made no mention of the issues we had raised - only when we actively complained was the bill reduced. Very unfortunate - it just seemed that the front of house team and the dining teams were not joined up, and that - as seems to happen all too frequently in London - they are happy to charge Chelsea rates without the attention to detail that should go along with that category.

A lovely but expensive hotel, well placed in Kensington but wooden floored bedrooms mean it sounds like there is an elephant in the room upstairs. We were thoughtfully upgraded to a garden suite ( very nice views) but the lift shaft next to our suite was rather irritating all night! The rooms are sumptuous and the staff are very kind and helpful!

This beautifully decorated hotel is very much priced at the 5* end of the market. My wife and I stayed for one night in a Junior Suite for approx £400. It was a very good size, and overlooked a lovely garden. But it just lacked an attention to detail. Check-in is very clunky. Lots of sitting around and form filling. Checking out was not much better with lots of scurrying about. We had to present our card twice on check-in (one for the room and one to pay for breakfast - £10 off if you pay upfront) and then twice on the way out. Really? The rooms are supposed to come with a kettle and tea/coffee (it's on the website) - But you have to call down for it. And having called down and specifically asked for coffee, I got only tea. Cleaning was not up to scratch. We found someone else's slipper in the room. The showerhead was clogged with limescale, and so we had to scrape it off to stop water spraying over the bathroom. Yes, you can read this and think "get a life", but the fact is when you have paid a lot of money for a rare treat to mark a special occasion, you expect 5* service, and this wasn't it. And I haven't got on the restaurant yet, but that is another review. Lots of other people seem to love it, and maybe are used to spending a fortune for not quite perfect service, but if you are saving up your pennies for a special occasion, maybe look somewhere else. Unfortunately, we thought we had found our "go to" hotel for nights in London, but apparently not.

From the moment we arrived, Christian, the concierge, made us very welcome along with the Franklin staff. We were fussed over which made us feel very special and that feeling never left us for the 3 nights of our stay. We would unhesitatingly stay here agin when next in town.

When checking in we had no reservations and after investigating we discovered our credit card company screwed us. However, the staff took the unnecessary responsibility and got us a room at their other hotel nearby, paid for a taxi for us and our luggage to get there. We had a wonderful stay at the Pelham. The next morning they had our luggage transferred back and an upgraded room ready for us to join the rest of our family. The staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. A great part of the hotel is the rooms have cellphones that you can take out when you are walking around with full service. It was great for finding restaurants on Google maps. The room was very clean as I would expect it to be. Just a side note that the designer of the hotel uses a lot of dark gray color on the walls so it is kinda dark but fashionable. The location is great for food and shopping. Only about a 5 minute walk to Harrods.
