St Giles Heathrow - A St Giles Hotel

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Very clean hotel, conveniently located near the airport, with buses to the door of the hotel and 100 meters from the station Feltham.

I stayed here two separate nights in two separate rooms at the beginning and end of my vacation. The first night was horrible. Boot prints were on the sheets. Was right by elevator and could constantly hear it. I was going to cancel and change hotels for my second visit but as they don't allow cancellations, I was stuck with it. The second night was far better. Great room on the 7th floor with a beautiful view. The room was very clean and sheets were crisp and clean. Large group in hallway for a while and could still hear them, but easy enough to ignore after a few minutes. Some hotels are definitely closer to Heathrow, but this ended up being a nice mix. We were a 3 minute walk from bus stop for bus to Heathrow (about 20-30 minute ride depending on terminal), and just 5 minute walk down the road in the other direction is the train station and bus station where you can grab trains straight into downtown London (half hourish) So was about in the middle which was nice. Recommend getting an oyster card if you are staying in London for any length of time. Touchless payment is required with most transport there and the Oyster card seemed to give discounts on travel over a daypass or station to station ticket. Overall, two separate nights, two very separate experiences.

I've travelled all over the world and into London several times. I have never seen a hotel room as disgusting as the one I experienced at this hotel. I walked away and lost the money and found some other place to stay that night. Disgusting...steer clear and spend your money elsewhere.

We picked this hotel because it was close to Heathrow and we had an early flight the next morning. The hotel was very difficult for us to find and when we called asking for directions, no one could provide them to us other than to ask if we could get to Feltham train station. That at least helped get us there. Reception was very slow and we were the only ones checking in. But the room was clean and nice for the price we paid.

all was fine it was a bit further from Heathrow than we expected

Location was nice....public transportation very close by made to central London in no time.....hotel staff very nice and accommodating

Very good for a 3 star hotel.Concierge very helpful.Bus out front to Heathrow airport.

first off, it was a decent stay we were not in the room much, second, don't get the breakfast buffet, first night it was so hot in the room I wanted to leave, girlfriend says let's put up with the god awful heat, I asked the front desk to fix it and they said maintenance had left for the day but they will be on it in the morning, yeah right, they opened the sealed window and called it good. location was good to get the train to London, I really did not see many restaurant's around other than McDonalds, their is a grocery store across the street but not much to choose from, thought I was in the soviet union say 1960's Janine the receptionist was the only bright spot at the hotel,

u can feel the springs inside the bed when you lie down. but it gets the job done.

The staff were quite helpful, although we had to wait awhile to be checked in. The room had up-to-date amenities and very clean. This hotel is NOT close to Heathrow airport. The concierge was knowledgable and helpful.

Overall for the price it was not too bad, the hotel was outdated, the beds were old, the food decent, but the staff was very helpful and friendly. Another plus to this location was it was located close to a train station and several bus stops, taking about 20 minutes to get into London.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was very good. It was close to Heathrow for our flight home. Overall, a good experience.

The only positive is that there were no bedbugs! Here's the deal. It's cheap. But it's not even the cheapest. The restaurant looked absolutely atrocious. We had to call the desk to get a window opened because the air conditioning didn't work and the room was stuffy when we arrived. It even took the staff around 30 min to come open the window. You have to pay for Wi-Fi, which is the worst thing about the place. However, after we complained about the A/C not working they gave us a free night of Wi-Fi. That was a plus, but it seems like a fair trade if they must charge for internet, I guess. They wouldn't print me a receipt, which I found most disturbing. All in all we slept for a few hours in an ugly, stuffy room. No airport hotels are great, but this one was pretty much below average.

I have to say that I was HIGHLY disappointed with this website upon my arrival to this hotel. The credit card information that this website had supplied to the hotel came back declined, not only once but twice with different credit card numbers. The staff worked with me and gave me a room while they contacted this website again and finally recieved a good credit card number. All of the staff were extremely friendly and sympathetic to my situation with this website. They were all very knowledgable about where places were for dining, site seeing, and amusement. The directions they gave me any one could have followed they were very precise and accurate. The rooms were extremely well taken care of and you could tell the staff took pride in their work by the way the hotel was kept clean. Thanks to all of the staff again for the help and hospitality that you should me during my stay. Keep up the Excellent work, and I will see you all again shortly.

The room was decent and good if your there for a short stay, 2 nights at the most. Nothing very special about it, just close to the airport.

Don't like this hotel at all. Room carpet is dirty. Mattress is broken. Bathroom accessories are out-of-date. Vending machine at my floor was broken. The staff seemed not willing to answer questions. You got what you paid for. The only good thing about this hotel is the city bus to Heathrow airport's terminal 1,2 & 3 is just a block away from the hotel. This is the most economical way to get to the airport.

OK, but needs updating. Restaurant menu was poor, food just OK, nothing special for the prices! Drink prices were outrageous!

The hotel is right on the bus line for #490 which goes right to Terminal 5 in about 10 minutes for British Air, also across the street is a train station that takes you into London or anywhere. The concierge was knowledgable and friendly. The Italian restaurant is OK but check your dinner bill for accuracy.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Location was very convenient to Heathrow and allowed easy return of rental car. Various eating establishments were available close by. Room was quiet -- especially for a hotel that close to the airport.
