Queens Park Hotel

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

The property is in a great location; close to Paddington Station which has a nonstop train to Heathrow. The hotel is an easy walk to restaurants and Bayswater and Queensway underground stations and Kensington Gardens. The hotel provided a Handy cell phone which I used for maps, WiFi calling and texting, a camera, Google searches and gmail. The staff were terrific. The single downside was the lack of a/c in our room on warm days but the oscillating fan helped.

Location was good. Staff varied from very nice to indifferent to rude. Breakfast was not that great. Mold in bathroom shower. Small tv screen. Small room.

I enjoyed my stay at Queens Park Hotel. The Central London location near Hyde Park, Nottinghill, restaurants, and tube stations is excellent. The front desk staff, although busy, were always efficient, helpful and courteous. The room was small, but since I was not on business, this was okay. I had a window, but it looked out on a wall. Again, this was okay because I was there for the overall location. This was a safe hotel for me. The HVAC system was new and complicated to use, even for staff. This was the only downside.

Hice Location, there are 2 metro stations 5 mins walking, very clean but small room

Room was extremely clean, spacious, and very comfortable!!! The hotel has no real amenities and breakfast was mediocre, but we really just wanted a bed and a shower, and we were extremely satisfied with both. An excellent value I would highly recommend.

Breakfast was wretched—same general options as elsewhere but decidedly cheaper ingredients. Bed was awful. Walls were dirty, carpet as well. They had been doing some updating—freshly painted hallway when we arrived. However, the overall feeling was that property owners were trying to save money by cutting corners—doing everything as absolutely cheaply as possible. That will backfire on them in the end. People feel more comfortable with quality, and a little more niceness would go a long way. Hotel staff on duty was friendly at least or would have given poorest rating.

Construction during stay. Asked to change room right away. Moved from closet with room window to fire escape and construction. To room which we had to take elevator to 4th floor then walk down flight of stairs around corners to get to room. Room renovated but could have used 2 more days to complete work. Multitask bathroom. You can sit on toilet and brush teeth at same time. Unless you are looking for a hotel with a built-in workout getting to room. Do not apply.

Make sure if you stay here in the summer you request air conditioning if it’s important to you. Our first two nights we did not have air and it was extremely warm. Some rooms have been remodeled and have air conditioning. The first floor still requires walking up stairs. Overall nice location.

Great small hotel perfect for two days of meetings in London.

I've been traveling for 10 years and this is the worst hotel experience I have ever experienced. First off, there was no air conditioning or free wifi which were important factors while I was booking. I happened to be there on London's hottest week of 2016 and I was sweating the entire time. Although I asked for a room with A/C everyday, they would simply tell me to "check back tomorrow morning" and only had a fan to use. The room itself was dirty, the water faucet didn't work, bugs flew in the window when it was opened (since this was the only way not melt), and they charged for wifi use (and it was only available in the lobby!). The breakfast buffet was not good either so don't go there. Walk to a nearby restaurant instead. The rooms are very small and outdated. The hallways were also smelly, very dirty, and creepy. I will never EVER stay here again. Do yourself and favor and do not book here. Pay a little more and stay somewhere with A/C! I'm the type of person who finds the silver lining in things but unfortunately, I was unable to do this. It was an awful way to experience my first trip to the UK. Too bad I can't get a refund....

I stayed in the room with 2 other friends (all in our 20s). The room was perfect for a quick, one-night stay in a nice area. The room did not have AC and was very war, as the windows opened but a wall blocked any breeze. There was not much space within the room, but it was perfect for a place to sleep and shower. The complimentary breakfast was good and helpful to have in an expensive city.

You had to pay for wifi, I could have an iron as long as I ran down to get it, staff was a tad too casual, someone decided to load and unload linen packs at 6:30 in the morning right outside my window...had to yell out to get them to stop...6:30 am???? Come on now. Near Paddington station, Hyde Park and Notting Hill so location was pretty good but in the end I would call this hotel a solid two star, not a three.
