Queens Park Hotel3.0 out of 5.0

Our travel agent booked this for us as we wanted to stay close to this specific area. The hotel is just a 15 mins stroll to Marble Arch and oxford street, 5 mins from Queensway and not far from Nottinghill gate and portobello. But that's it, the rooms are small, hot (No air con), mattresses and pillow need an upgrade to acceptable. Breakfast is ok if u like yoghurt, the concierge finishes at 8pm everyday, so do not expect any help with tours outings after that. Across the road from Kensington gardens and the once beautiful Hyde park ( which looks like my back yard now when it's not mowed), yeah it's old, needs improvement and there are plenty of hotels in the vacinity which rate better, I cannot recommend the queens park hotel to anyone. I will not be staying there again.
The hotel is in desperate need of updating, the walls are scuffed and filthy, the mattress was so thin we could feel every spring in it. The room was the size of a broom closet. there is nowhere to put luggage. The air conditioning did not work properly, and the wifi is terrible. There was one counter top style ice maker to supply the whole hotel. It was broken on the second day we were there, and never fixed (all this while London goes through a heat spell. The staff was indifferent at best, plain rude at their worst. Overall far too expensive for this dump.
Arrived after booking on booming .com where room was presented as double with pictures After arriving finding the clowns of the desk had no idea where to park we were took to our room with every up and down coridoor looking dirtier as we proceeded to our broom cupboard room Asking to phone the manager after insisting this was not the room sent to us or advertised Finally got to move to a bigger broom cupboard with a really unclean and tacky feel to the hotel If you are looking for hostel type accommodation then this is your hotel otherwise stay clear it's filthy unhigenic and claustrophobic so much so we have sat in a pub cancelled our second night and booked elsewhere If you want to be thoroughly underwhelmed by a hotel the this has to be the modern day faulty towers Steve Crowther
The rooms are small but we were only in our rooms to sleep so it didn't matter. The staff was very nice and helpful. Short walk to restaurants, pubs, train stations, and bus stops. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I didn't care for the breakfast but it is complementary so why complain? I really enjoyed my stay here.
My one bit of advice - Do Not Stay In This Hotel. It's dreadful and the ruthless owners do not deserve your money. I feel so sorry for the staff that have to listen to all the guests complaints all day.
Reasonable location near Queensway Shopping, bus stops, Queensway & Bayswater Tube Stations, and Hyde Park. Paddington Rail Station about a mile away. Room was slightly on small side but comfortable. Rates were good but had to pay for extras e.g. luggage storage.
Poor hotel, double rooms are very very small. The money I spent doesn't worth for the type of hotel that it is, it was just too expensive for what is provided. At the check in, Miss Andreea was just super bored and sending text messages while we were in front of her filling the check in form at reception desk, rude and completely unprofessional. Mobile phones shouldn't even be allowed at reception area !! No information about the hotel was given at check in time. We just had to fill a form, take photocopy of ID and go to the room, that was all. Went to room, washing my hands, the water just didn't go down, sink was blocked. Went out for dinner, when I came back the receptionist was again on her phone, this time wasn't even trying to hide the mobile. I don't know what kind of management this hotel has, but for sure I will not come back. I don't advise. The service provided was just very poor for the price I paid for one night only !
Slept there 3 nights and not value every single pounds...only outside look a nice place, but inside Room small Floor noisy when walk Bed uncomfortable Breakfast not good service customer not answer your questions I'm trying to get them because i forgot something important and after many email i don't have answer.
Quite possibly one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Miserable staff on arrival. Very small room with the worst view ever. Landings are poorly decorated. The whole thing looked shabby. And a vile musty sweaty smell. Rooms small damp and musty smelling. Horrible atmosphere. Didn't stay for breakfast.
Cheap but not so cheerful! Lack of attention to detail. Very basic. Good location for the price. The staff appeared to be a bit of a mixed bag, don't think they enjoy their jobs. This is one of those where, you get what you pay for!
