Okay, but not great

This flat was an okay place to stay. It was relatively clean and had the basics. However, when it was 3 hours past check-in I had to hound the host repeatedly to please give me the code to get into the flat. The listing did not say anything about being on the 3rd floor without a lift. Several of the pictures on the website were totally inaccurate as things had been changed/redone. This included the floors that had screws sticking out of the stairs, which had been carpeted before. Also, when we arrived we told the host immediate that one of the TVs had a screen that was partly smashed. She asked for pictures but then didn't communicate with us anymore for the rest of the stay. And I tried to do a load of laundry (we were traveling with 4 kids) but the machine filled with a little bit of water and then stopped working. I had to hand wash everything in the sink to keep it from smelling. Overall the experience was okay, but we would not choose to stay there again.
