This is one of the best properties we have ever stayed in. The staff was top notch. The room and view was fantastic. I know this is a little strange, but the toilet in the bathroom was awesome with a heated toilet seat. The rest of the bathroom was also well done. The location is great, right on the northeast corner of Hyde Park. If I did have one complaint it would be the sheets on the bed and the pillows.
We were four to arrive at 6pm, greeted in a most impressive welcoming way by the doorman. We announced immediately that we wanted to dine early and go across the street to the Marblearch Theatre to fetch tickets at 7:30. We were graciously taken to the restaurant on the street level behind the bar and introduced to a lovely Italian waitress. We informed her immediately of our need to place the orders immediately. It took one hour to get the first course which we threatened to cancel because we feared being late. Eventiually at around 7:15 we cancelled the main order and asked for the bill. The poor waitress tried everything she could and could only offer the explanation that the kitchen was dealing with too many orders at one time. When leaving we informed the maitre d' who took our card and said someone would be in touch with us and apologize for the inconvenience caused. He also said that the kitchen had been inundated with room service requests. A warning to all guests: do not plan to dine comfortably before the theatre at the Mariott on Park Lane even if you allow 90 minutes. Fay Rogers
The location of the hotel is great, near Buckingham Palace, and just a few steps from Marble Arch tube station. I loved the style of the hotel, which is a bit retro, but very stylish and comfy. Service is immaculate. The bedding is just a bit too soft for my personal taste. Otherwise, highly recommended!
We had a lovely room with the most gorgeous bath on the third floor. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. They gave us directions, helped us with train tickets, and the bar staff makes a really good gin and tonic. We stayed five nights, and only ate breakfast there one morning, but there were so many restaurants, bars, pubs and other places to eat! The only drawback is that there is no laundry room where I could do laundry. Instead they offer a laundry service, which was just a little too pricey for my taste.
The London Marriott Hotel Park Lane is perfectly located , giving easy access to surrounding shops & restaurants. We were very impressed with all of the staff, the bell boys, reception ,house keeping, concierge & management. All were so very eager to please & made our stay memorable. The room was clean & comfortable & beautifully furnished. It was extremely convenient having access to the executive lounge, which we used at various times during our stay. We will definitely be returning.
The Marriott Park Lane is a beautiful hotel property! Our room was very elegantly decorated, it was quiet, cozy, the beds were comfortable, the wifi was great, coffee/tea in the room, and the staff were very accommodating, friendly, and ready to instantly help in a moments notice. The executive lounge had a nice selection for breakfast, the afternoon/evening selection of choices was just ok. Nothing special. The location was great, just next to Hyde Park, where you can do a hop on/hop off bus, or if you like to walk, you can really see some beautiful sights close by through Hyde Park, St James, or Green Park. It is also really close to Oxford Street, so if you like to shop, you are right there. I would definitely stay here again, I just remember the kindness and the willingness of the staff to help, and the housekeeping is excellent as well...
I am often sceptical when it comes to Marriott Hotels. But this one convinced me thanks to its location (on Marble Arch), the staff, the lounge (paying an extra to have access makes sense if you have a rate without breakfast) and the rooms (provided you don't get one on the internal ugly courtyard). Now it comes with a high price, even for London, but as the title suggests, you can see this hotel as a Marriott+. Hence I'll probably go back next time I am in this neighbourhood.
Great 3 night stay! Accommodations were fantastic with comfortable beds, marble baths and beautiful decor. The staff are wonderful and incredibly accommodating. If you are a gold member you will not be disappointed with the executive lounge. Loved the breakfast and afternoon tea. The marble arch tube stop, Hyde park, and Oxford street are right outside your door. So glad I opted to stay here over the more crowded areas closer to the Thames.
My husband and had a lovely weekend here to celebrate our Pearl wedding anniversary. Every member of staff we encountered was warm and welcoming. We were given an upgrade and a bottle of bubbly, (very gratefully received! ) Food was delicious and staff inobtrusive. We will return on the next big celebration. Excellent location and easy to get to everywhere we wanted to.
We had an awesome afternoon tea in Park Lane Marriott and our host was Alex from Hungary. The service was exceptional and very attentive. Nice selection of tea's and plenty of food for this price. Thank you for the surprise cocktails from Gyuri, it was very tasty and refreshing. Defo a place to recommend. Thank you Park Lane!
