Very disappointed with one of the rooms I booked! Very small, poorly decorated. Small Shower with nowhere to put toiletries etc. Staff not particularly helpful. No one on Reception!
It was the perfect base from which to explore Kew and visit Kew Gardens. It is only a few minutes walk to the train and underground station which offers easy access to and from London.
The staff are all lovely and really helpful.
I couldn't ask for more! Thank you
On arrival at the hotel we received a less than welcoming welcome. The receptionist asked us to wait before letting us get to the reception and was gone for a good while.
We were told our room would be on the third floor. No lift available. We climbed to the attic room via a last staircase which was dangerous as the stair treads are shaped from wide to nearly nothing.
We are a couple aged 82 and 84. The receptionist was quite impolite and referred to us as "old people".

The hotel room was nice/okay. However the building got extremely hot, which made it difficult to sleep through the night. AC definitely needed.
After one dreadful night, we checked out and moved to The Premier Inn. There was damp in one of our rooms. The air conditioning unit was held together with sellotape and pumped hot air into the room making it unbearable to sleep at 33 degrees. I was offered a fan, bur as there were no electrical outlets, that was a ridiculous solution. The stair carpets were threadbare. The decor shabby. One room at the front of the building had double doors to a small balcony that could not accommodate the portable air conditioner and banged open and shut all night. It was the dreadful.

The en-suite
Silicone around the shower was mouldy, there was no proper exraction fan in there and the aircon unit in the bedroom was freestanding talking up a large proportion of the room and was extremely noisy during use. Room didnt feel it had been properly cleaned and there's no lift so we had to struggle getting our suitcases up 7 flights of stairs.
There was no lift
Nice place, good breakfast, nice room. Only drawback with an old property: no lift, and the window/curtains were in need of repair. But it didn't bother us.
Room was mostly fine. We stayed during a heatwave. Portable AC was brought in when we arrived, but taken out while we were out touristing. Staff can be a little hard to figure out who works at the pub and who works for the inn. So, getting service can be strange. Richmond was nice with nice shops and parks. Parking was relatively easy, just pay attention to the signs along the streets. Not bad, but I don't think we'd stay here again.
Great stay and location was perfect for Kew the Music! Food was really good. Rooms were a bit dated and could use a refresh, although the bathroom was really nice with the added touch of toiletries.
Staff very friendly.

The room was dirty. Cracked cups. Windows old and rotten and couldn’t close. One window cracked. Hole in the bathroom door. Foreign objects in the bed so I slept on the towels. No air conditioning only a noisy fan. Plastic hose on that was broken. Curtains ripped and wouldn’t close properly. Coffee and tea offered in keep warm jugs at breakfast . No decaf. Plastic glasses for juice. I couldn’t order egg on toast I had to have salmon egg and toast. I had to ask for hot water to make my own decaf tea. I will not stay again. I was expecting more for a superior room and £160. Plus 12 pounds for the salmon breakfast
The check in was slow, I asked at the bar three times before someone came to check us in. They did help me try and find a room with a shower but unfortunately it was only bath tubs available. The room was spacious but run down. There was no air con and the window didn’t open much. There was a fan. The bathroom was small and looked unfinished. It all needs some renovating for the cost they charge.
Everyone on staff is sweet and smiley! Very accommodating and welcoming. The breakfasts are cooked in the pub kitchen upon ordering, not continental-style. They make espresso drinks too! The room was quiet and cozy. I will return.

We got room 21 which was at the very top of narrow stairs. Economy room that didn’t lived up to the photos on the website. If you are senior you wouldn’t like to clime those stairs. No area for opening suitcases unless you used the bed and a tiny bathroom. The prize of the room was far above acceptable.
Restaurant and bar are cozy.

This is an old fashioned hotel atop a restaurant. It’s nothing fancy but if Kew Gardens is on your list and you have limited time it might be a good choice.
Staff was super nice. Be aware that there is no elevator.

Good amenities in room iron ironing board and excellent fan
Really enjoyed it. The bar and burger were lovely and the service was exceptional.
The room was lovely and I slept like a baby which is not normal for me. Nice location and really nice place.
