Loved out stay at the K West! Comfortable, well-layed out room. Fun lobby bar & library. Wonderful afternoon tea! Great location, short walk to Shepherds Bush tube stop & O2 concert venue. By a large mall with loads of restaurants in a row, plus pubs in the neighborhood. Loved all of it!
I enjoyed my stay at KWest for 4 days with my husband. The hotel is at a convenient location close to Shephard's Bush station which connects to Red Central Line tube and National Rail. It was our first visit in London. The rooms are much bigger compared to what you get in Central London at an affordable price. We got upgraded to Executive King suite and it was nice. It had a King size bed, a work desk and a couch and a coffee table. The WiFi is excellent in the hotel. They also provide an IPad in the room to explore the areas nearby and find the train connections. We didn't use try the breakfast or spa at the hotel. We mostly ate around the hotel area. They have a bunch of cafes when you get out on the main street. I personally liked Greggs, Costa for morning pastry and coffee. i forgot to mention there's also a mall there called Westfield mall which has some great shopping stores, a grocery store called Waitrose and some good restaurants and pubs. We ate at a greel restaurant which was pretty good.
This is family friendly hotel and worth every pound. Located close to the tube, it makes every part of London in reach. Its also away from the hustle and bustle of the crowd which makes it attractive.
When I first got to the hotel, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I was able to go to my room early (which was nice) and settle in before heading out. The area is ideal -- up the street is a shopping centre, supermarket and a tube station. The room was big enough since I was travelling by self. I liked how there was free-wifi and other great amenities at the hotel i.e. free access to the gym, lounge/computer area and good bar. My only complaint was no hair dryer. I liked how there was a refrigerator in the room. Overall I would definitely come back again. Friendly staff, clean room and good location.
Nice hotel. Pretty clean. Good not great. But totally fine. A little pretense to be cool. But it's not. It's just a normal hotel and not bad in any way at all.
Great vacation, couldn't ask for much more of a 4-star hotel. Good price, clean room, polite front desk. Location is in a quiet neighborhood between two major metro stations. Walking distance to many London shopping spots, as well as Kensington Palace. Would stay again.
we liked the hotel overall. only drawback was that check in was a little slow
Hotel met our expectations. Rooms were BIG for European rooms. Very close to metro. Stayed at this lovcation b/c friends lived a few blocks away. wouldn't stay if we were touring London.
I don't have too many complaints, when we did stay they were doing some construction on certain rooms so there were areas we had to avoid. Also we were told we wouldn't need to book cabs in advance for a wedding the next weekend we were going to and then somehow the day an hour before when I asked them to get us two cabs they said it would take a while because there was some kind of holiday…..we were late of wedding and was not happy with the service that day.
Overall was great. Spa was very nice and professional. The breakfast offered was disappointing so we pd for the full.
Quiet hotel in what seems like a residential area. Close to underground and a large shopping mall.
When we first checked in, we loved the bedroom portion of our room, but the bathroom was horrible. The shower head came off when my husband turned on the water, the shower water only got lukewarm, the pedal on the trash can did not lift the lid, the sink filled up after running for a few seconds, and the overall look was horrible. We mentioned these concerns to the staff, and someone came and examined all of our complaints. The sink issue was fixed, but none of the other issues were. After tolerating this for a couple days (we booked for 7 nights), we complained again and were moved to a far superior room. The room was much larger like we had imagined and much nicer. The bathroom was lightyears more modern than the previous one, and there were no issues at all. If we had been put in this very nice room to start with, I would have given 5 stars to absolutely everything about this hotel. The only other minor issue was the wifi. It was not working for 2 days, which is very important to both myself and my husband, Without wifi, it is very difficult to check on work emails, personal emails, and to plan the days excursions. The staff apologized, and they seemed to truly be trying to resolve the issue. We enjoyed the location, as it was only a short 5 minute walk to both the train and bus stations. This was important as we took the bus a few times when the tube system was down, very busy, or under construction. We also were able to walk to a grocery store, convenience store, movie theatre, and large shopping mall. The staff were always very friendly and able to help with any questions/concerns. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, just make sure that you get a very nice room from the get-go!
This hotel is not glamourous from the outside. However, inside it was a very nice place. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location was excellent in that it was only a 3-5 minute walk to the Shepherd Bush tube station or the adjacent bus stops. We would stay there again.
Nice value for West London. Very large, well equipped room. Docked a star for the desk clerk (robotic and not very friendly) and construction noise/smells at hotel.
We have booked a queen bed and istead of it was two singles in one and the worst of all was that we have not hot water.they said that they will change the room but they change it after one day and after rembering to many times making complains to the reception desk.after all the water in the bath was not hight enough and for a man of 1,80 was to dificult to go under the water
Large rooms. Stayed in an executive room with a king bed and sitting area. . Will Stay again!
I was really looking forward to staying the K West Hotel because of all of the reviews, but in the end, I would have been just as happy staying at a 3 star hotel. The bed was super comfortable (especially after walking all day) and the room was clean, but I have stayed at many 4 star hotels and this one did not deserve the title. The staff was friendly, but just average.
I liked the K-West hotel because of it's comfort and location. The neighborhood it's located in isn't great, but it's very close to the tube station with is extremely handy. I liked the hotel's gym and the bed was really comfy.
We got a very good rate for a very nice room. Even better, we were upgraded to an "executive" room just by politely asking if it was possible! Very convenient location to the Central Line tube station at Shepherd's Bush. Staff was extremely helpful (printed airline boarding passes, gave us great service in the breakfast room, etc.)
Our stay here would have likely been ok...the room was all the way down a very long hallway at the end and overlooked what appeared to be their dumpster area but all around for a room in London it was fairly spacious and clean. The bed was comfy. Our biggest gripe was that on our first day when waiting for our room to be ready my husband left (yes, his fault) a small money pouch on the couch, containing about $2K USD which had been converted to pounds and Euros, in the lounge near the coffee bar. As soon as we got to our room we realized he had left it and I immediately went back to get it. It was gone. I asked the girl who waited on us if she saw it and was promptly told no, but that the office would have video footage of the area. I went to the front desk and asked if anyone had turned it in and was basically brushed off and told no. The next morning when we were leaving for the day we stopped at the desk. We were assured that they would look through the video. We returned that evening and the young girl at the desk said "We found your bag, I will get management". We were so excited. But, then she reappeared and said she had been mistaken and that they did not find it and that the video showed nothing. The manager called my room a while later again saying that the video showed nothing. I would have liked to have seen the video myself....I do not believe that it showed nothing....how could that be? If they have video of that area they would surely see someone pick up the bag. I got a feeling it was an employee---as it was not busy in there at the time that it occurred and the time between leaving it there and going back was moments....I don't know. Just seems fishy to me.
