Lovely Suite in a Hotel on a quiet street. Check-in went smoothly, free soft drinks/water/cereal bars in the fridge along with tea and coffee. If having breakfast make sure you have plenty of time. Took ages to get a cooked breakfast, even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. Second day didn’t have time to wait the 35 minutes we were told it would take. Overall the hotel was ok - would put this at medium priced - we would stay here again (without paying for breakfast).
Odd emerging concept of the boutique-chain-hotel. Billed a low cost but stylish; I ended up paying £250 per night; was annoyed that every time I used Google Maps it was offering me a room for £105. In general, it is hard to get good value in hotels in London and, invariably, they have small rooms. This was true of this room, which was tarted up with the usual boutique stuff (weird pillows, exposed brick, four-poster bed, loads of colourful pillows). The bathroom was fairly high-spec-ed and attractive but also small. Worst feature was the guy upstairs, building appears not to have been originally built as a hotel/apartment block as it had wooden floors. So, the whole ceiling bowed as the guy got out of bed upstairs and food-creaked across the room. He became my daily alarm. Other positive is that is is centrally located in the city, near Aldgate tube, Lloyds and St Paul's just around the corner (with the Tate across the river). Good area for restaurants and bars. But, would I stay there again ? Probably, not; mainly because I felt I was ripped-off by the rate.
Lovely reception staff friendly. Thanks for upgrade and the late check out with being ihg spire member. I stayed in the hotel indigo in Paddington and the hotel indigo in Kensington but the Tower Hill one is the best in the London area at the moment and the rooms are bigger in size at Tower Hill and the bed was huge four poster. Like the indigo brand hopefully some more open in the future in the UK. Always good to get the free mini bar items is much appreciated. Wi fi was fast. And room service menu was good as Im vegetarian so sometimes hotels don’t have many dishes and the room service menu are usually smaller but this was five pages. The Eton mess is lovely with fresh sliced strawberry’s in it wish had ordered two of them. Already booked for to stay again thanks for lovely time.
Fourth time staying at this IHG hotel in East London, with excellent, accommodating staff, always helpful, professional and friendly. Rooms are well sized for London, location is convenient to tube and buses, and amenities are impressive for a hotel of this level. Not luxury but great value a good reason to keep coming back.
I booked five rooms for a group of us who were celebrating my husband's 40th birthday. We were all upgraded to exec suites which were beautiful. Big big, comfortable bed, lots of space, a lovely room in general. The staff were all really friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were excellent. We'll be back.
Attending a weekend festival in London, we booked this hotel on a recommendation from a friend. What a great recommendation. The room was clean, modern and we'll sized. Lovely tea and coffee facilities, superbly comfortable bed and great staff made this an enjoyable stay. We'll definitely be back.
This hotel is bright clean and very tidy but the room was tiny even though it was very clean and comfortable. The bar was where you have your breakfast which didn't seem right in my eyes so we drank next door also breakfast was ok but not best for the money. Overall it was ok if staying for more than 1 night I would need a bigger room.
My wife and I just got back from our first trip to London. We stayed at the Hotel Indigo 13 nights, and were extremely pleased with our choice. The entire staff was very friendly, and very accommodating with any request that we had. Natty was very helpful in answering all our questions about getting around in the city, especially in the first couple days of our trip when we were trying to adjust to our new surroundings. He was also great in setting up our transportation to the airport when we checked out. Victoria was always cheerful in greeting each morning when I would go for an early walk/coffee run, and was really helpful in assisting with mailing items back to the U.S., and getting tickets printed for some of events & tours we were taking. The entire staff showed the same kindness & professionalism as the two mentioned. Our room was extremely comfortable. There was ample space for us to unpack & store our clothes for the 2 week stay. The free mini-fridge & water helped a lot. When my wife mentioned needing extra water the housekeeping staff made sure to have extra water in our room every day of our stay without us having to bring it up again. Having the coffee maker in the room was convenient for the mornings we were up and out early. The bed was very comfortable, we had no problem getting to sleep each night. There were plenty of outlets where we could charge our electronics, and the lighting in the room was good. It was an extra nice touch that there was a small reading light on each side of the bed. The android "Handy" phone in the room was a god-send. We did not have international coverage on our phones, and having the handy phone available to take with us & use to navigate the city was so very helpful. We did not eat in the restaurant at all during our stay, but we did order room service on a few occasions. The meals tasted great, arrived hot, and arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The hotel was in a great location for what we were looking for. The two Tube stations that were nearby were able to get us just about anywhere in the city that we needed to go, quickly and cheaply. The DLR train station that was nearby was also helpful when we were going to their O2 arena for a concert. With the crazy amount of traffic within London, the tube was almost always the best alternative to get somewhere quickly. The few times we weren't going to be able to use the tube we were able to get an Uber at the hotel easily. The Tower of London & tower bridge are also a quick walk from the hotel and were great for sightseeing. If it wasn't obvious from everything I wrote above, we would definitely recommend the Hotel Indigo to anyone traveling to London. We hope to return to London sooner rather than later, and we will definitely stay here again when we do return.
I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights this month, on a business trip. My room was the quietest room I've ever stayed in at any hotel, despite there being guests in rooms next to, across from and above me. This means a lot to me because I am a light sleeper. The bed and pillows were super snuggly, and the bathroom was large and well-appointed with Aveda toiletries. The location is great - close to the Tube and to the DLR rail station; lots of restaurants within walking distance, as well as Tesco and Sainsburys local small grocery stores that were well-stocked. Plus it is in an historical area in the City of London. Every morning I had the "City Breakfast" in the hotel restaurant, which includes an egg-white omelette with fillings, toast, ham, grilled tomato and mushroom, tea or coffee, and juice or smoothie. All of this cost 10.95 pounds, which I think is quite reasonable for London. Other than that, I found the hotel's food (including room service, which I used once) to be somewhat mediocre. But with so many nearby restaurants and pubs, there's no reason not to sample them. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
The hotel is near most attractions and convenient to metro train service. Staff is very friendly and professional. Dining options are plentiful. Approximately ten minute walk to Tower Bridge. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. I would recommend and return.
