We chose this hotel for its location to the Dominion Theatre which we were going too for a show, very close but on a quite street. Room was a good size, clean and comfortable. It is close to British Museum and underground stations

Great Location, next to the British Museum. Nice quiet street. The staff friendly and welcoming. Good breakfast. Room comfortable and ,very clean. My second stay here, I will stay again in the future.

I needed to attend a workshop in Southampton street and wanted to be away from home for three days. This hotel was on top of my search list. Didn't disappoint. Great location, close to uncountable numbers of shops, restaurants, eatry and underground stations. I had an excellent view on the 2nd floor. Breakfast was available but didn't have one. I will stay again in the future.

Nice little hotel. However the interior looked dated. Needs quite a bit of refurbishment soon. The hotel is rather quiet. Most of the rooms are of different layouts and furnished differently even though they are of the same grade of rooms. I was a little luckier to get a large room with high ceilings and full height windows. My colleagues were not and their rooms were dark, stuffy and with small windows. The rooms are not air conditioned. And there wasn’t a fan in the room. Room is really stuffy during the warmer days and the English windows were stuck, can’t really open them. I probably will pick another hotel the next time I visit London.

The hotel is well situated in Bloomsbury, right next to the British Museum. The staff are all friendly and helpful and breakfast in the restaurant is copious, Unfortunately the rooms are rather outdated and rather shabby. The administration on checking in was muddled and not at all straightforward in our case.

A well situated, moderately priced hotel in Bloomsbury, London backing onto the British Museum. There are elevators which was definitely an attraction in this area of gracious old townhomes converted to hotels. ( Most are walk ups! ) As expected, the rooms are small but quite adequate. Some rooms do not have safety deposit boxes so be aware if this is important to you. Breakfast is not usually included in the room tariff but there is a restaurant on site that was surprisingly good. Breakfast however was pricey at 20£. There is also an intimate bar area. I would return.

Most of the reviews are spot on. We stay in London regularly and always stay here. The decor is tired and in need of an upgrade - but in all other ways this is a super hotel. The location is superb. We always ask for a rear room overlooking the garden - you would never know you are in central London! The staff are a delight - we asked for additional duvets and fresh milk and they arrived in minutes. Thoroughly recommended.

This is a very British hotel - and not in a good way. It has a feeling of slighly faded glory to it, and while the staff were great, and my room (307) was clean, the decor looked a bit tired, and the whole place could do with a revamp. My room was too warm, even though the radiator was not on, and my bed was pretty uncomfortable. Also, the led ceiling lights did not switch off completely, so there was a constant dim flickering throughout the night. It's in a fairly quiet road (assuming no students from UCL nearby are maurauding), and if you want to get to the British Museum or Holborn it's very well located.

I was given a room on the first floor directly next to the elevator and it felt like the elevator was running through my room. As a result, from 6 am onwards, I had no chance to sleep. The room is tiny (so small you can use the desk sitting from the bed as there is no space for a chair), but clean, and with a good wifi connection. Bathroom was ok, if not for the fact that the balcony window is directly next to the toilet. Thus to you the choice to use the bathroom in full view of the street and neighbors or use the unhygienic heavy (cloth) curtains... For almost 200 GBP a night you'd expect to have breakfast, but no, breakfast is not included...

After much searching of the usual crazy prices (£140 for a Travelodge etc.) we chose this hotel entirely on it's combination of price and location - An exceptional deal (£72) for a Friday night (and including breakfast, although didn't get up in time!). In a pleasant street near leafy Russell Square, backing onto the British Museum and only 15 mins amble to Covent Garden and 6-7 mins to either Russell Square or Holborn tube stations. Asked for a quiet room and our 3rd floor, rear garden facing room was indeed nice and quiet. Decor is rather 1990's but not in a bad way and reception staff very pleasant. Will stay again if deal is similar.
