DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel London - Westminster

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

It was a very clean hotel, which is always a plus. It is older so it is in need of a refresh. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Great location-- within an easy walking distance to both Westminster and Pimlico Underground stations. Next to Burberry corporate offices so very quiet at night. Next to the Tate and a stone's throw to the Houses of Parliment, Westminster Abbey and London Eye. Comfortable beds, great shower and very clean rooms.

Breakfast area is so rush and too many people all the time.

Location worked well for for touring central london and there were enough eating options nearby with plenty of pubs. Needed to travel a bit for restaurant dinner but not to bad. Would stay here again.

The Double Tree in Westminster is very nice and close to attractions. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Our stay was very good. It is also close to restaurants.

First time at Double Tree , it was a good experience overall

Rooms are very small, location is amazing. To much money for the room tho

Hotel has good staff and good recommendations for restaurants and directions to the sights

Clean, nice neighborhood on a tree-lined street (right next to Tate Britain), good service, nice room. It's an okay location - compared to some other more expensive hotels it's a longer walk to get to the nearest tube entrance, plus a greater number of stops away on the underground from the city center (about 20 minutes or more during rush hour) - but it's a great value for the money. They provide a tasty cookie upon guest's arrival, and also fresh fruit. Free Wi-Fi, very private and secure room, and a very good amount of closet space are some of the pluses. They have a decent restaurant on the first floor that seemed to be fairly popular.

Everything was fine, the hotel delivered what is promised absolutely. It's strange but none of the underground stations are really close, which is not so good.

I was traveling for business. It is close to the tube so it is easy to get to places. It has a small gym and free wifi. Good for business travel. A bit too expensive if I were to travel on my own budget though.

This hotel seemed to be close to everything. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful, they met our every need. The room was small, perfect for one but tight, for two however the price was right.

The best thing that can be said about this hotel is that it has a great location. My room was not ready by 3:00 pm, the pillows were the worst ever, towels and bathrobes are like sandpaper, food is terribly over-priced and mediocre at best, water temp in shower fluctuated from comfortable to freezing to scalding. For the price I paid, the room BASICS should have been exemplary, but sadly, this was not the case.

The location of the hotel was great it was close to things but not in a busy area. The staff was very helpful and the environment was always clean. Having computers in the room was very helpful. The bathrooms were small but had good water pressure. Our only complaint was about the beds the mattresses good of been better but we definitely would recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel, great location, reasonable price for London.

While I liked the Mint Hotel and appreciated its attentive staff, the room and amenities seemed average. The room was very clean and the Apple was fun, although I would've rather had a larger television. The location itself is convenient, as it's close to Westminster Abbey and Big Ben.

just got back from a london vacation. this was a good hotel close to many royal attractions. clean.. staff was friendly.. consierge service was ok.

The location is just outstanding for a tourist or even if you're doing business in central London/the City. John Islip is a quiet street but you're an easy (assuming you enjoy walking, and this is London after all) walk from Westminster, Pimlico, and St. John's Woods stations. It's a huge relief to be away from the chaos surrounding the Houses of Parliament. The hotel itself is well staffed and modern. There's some wear and tear around the edges but overall it's clean and the rooms are compact but not cramped. The shower temperature was prone to jumping around though, from warm to cool to hot, so if you have kids, test the shower yourself first to avoid a scene. All in all it's what I want in a hotel, and I'll return.

The room was very good, the hotel is in a very good location on a low traffic street. We liked the convenience of having the iMac in the room as well as the very helpful staff who continued to help us with shipping a package long after we had finished our stay.

great hotel with free wifi. Walk to almost everything!
