Rooms need refrigerators. Otherwise, room was pleasant and adequate. Some noise from near-by pub with late night musical performances. Full English breakfast--very good. Very attentive serving staff, a couple in particular are stand-outs, but all are good. One serving lady, Nitat, very friend, efficient, and speaks multiple languages. Hotel couldn't be better located--just across the street from Hyde Park, near Marble Arch and Oxford Street shopping, easy bus and tube transport.

Great location- close to Kensington Gardens, bus and underground

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent we were able to get every where in the city easily. So looking forward to coming back.

Tiny room! Didn't even have room to open our luggage on the ground. Shower/toilet/bathroom combo was... interesting.

Loved the Hotel and the location. The room was a bit small but still comfortable.

Not sure why this hotel pulls so many negative reviews. The rooms were upkept daily. The staff was friendly and did their job. Sure, the twin room wasn’t the size of a room of a Ritz Carlton but it was completely liveable for two chunky American-sized girls. The hotel did its job of accommodating us safety for 5 days, so there are no complaints here!

Exterior of hotel is very attractive and well located in central London location (Across the street from Hyde Park and 1 block from the Lancaster Gate tube stop on the Central Line). Common areas on the interior are OK. The rooms are a let down. We stayed for five days - and there were no dressers - and very little surface storage space. Our already small room ended up feeling very cramped. Additionally, the plumbing hasn't been updated - so - there were a few issues that made things a bit unpleasant.

Good location and friendly staff but that’s about it. The lobby was nice but the room was the smallest room I’ve ever been in, the shower had very low pressure, the bed felt like 20 years old, and the concrete floor was covered by and old thin remnant of carpet.

Very well run hotel. Rooms are clean, quiet, and well maintained daily. My room was small, but fine for one person on a budget. The shower is only a sliver with half a wall down one side. You basically have to stand sideways. The breakfast buffet is very good, if a little overpriced. But everything in London is expensive. The location is excellent, right next to the Tube and the bus stops. Short walk to Paddington station for express train from LHR. I recommend it for tourists who don't spend much time in the room.

Everyone was very friendly. It was close to a lot things and transportation. I would stay there again.

For the price compared to other hotels I was considering, this was a great choice. Nice hotel, well maintained, friendly staff. Air conditioning! (Having come from Paris, this was a joy.) Great pub, the Mitre, just up the street. A couple of little grocery stores too. If the location works for you, it's a good choice.

Right centered at the beginning of Hyde Par at the Lancaster Gate area. Really close to the Tube and our favorite Pub, The Swan.

It was fine. Food and service good. Room small. Bath has no place for towels when used

Excellent location for Paddington Station and the Underground!

Very nice hotel. Bed was a little too soft for me but otherwise it was wonderful

Excellent room and central location. Room size is to be expected in central London.

Room is small. Shower did not even have a curtain so entire bathroom got wet.

My wife and I stayed for one night before our return to the United States. We wish we would have stayed here on our first trip to London. The hotel was clean, close to the Underground, and had excellent air conditioning. The staff was friendly and helpful and check in was easy. The only weird thing was the bathroom, the shower had no curtain so it flooded the entire bathroom, but other than that the room was perfect!
