Evellent stay nothing to complain about friendly staff room clean and tidy would stay again good facilities warm decent breakfast everything you would want from a budget hotel it fact the only problem I've had is trying to post this review on TripAdvisor ha

Stayed here in May for three nights with my friend in a twin bedded room at a cost of £312. I don’t want to go all Hyacinth Bouquet on you but really, I don’t know how some of the reviewers could describe staying here as a wonderful experience other than they really don’t get out much. On the positive; the staff are pleasant, helpful and clearly long suffering, hot water comes out of the taps and the shower, we had clean sheets and towels each day and all praise to Housekeeping who do a sterling job against all the odds. The odds being the dilapidated state of the building, filthy carpets, scuffed, chipped and dirty paintwork everywhere, the wardrobe in our room must have been in a flood at some point as all the layers of chip board were splayed out at the bottom, lumpy pillows, dirty grouting in the shower and a cracked toilet bowl. So either we were specially selected for the worst room in the hotel (room 6) or this was typical of the standard of the rooms. We could have asked for another room, we could have stayed one night and checked out in the morning but we are made of tougher stuff – we’ve slept on Indian trains and anyway we'd paid up. Breakfast – what can I say, fried vegetable sandwich anyone? Coffee with your Chicory? How many 1/4s of hot dog would you like with your beans? Served in a basement room reminiscent of a cell with two women with a permanent look of apology about them. I feel really sorry for all the decent people who work in this “hotel” and wish whoever is banking the takings would invest in a few pots of paint and get the carpets cleaned. Nasty.

I had a nice 2 night stay at the ABC Hyde Park Hotel. It was good for the price by London standards. The service was good - when my first room had a broken light they quickly found me a new room. This was on the top floor and had been relatively recent upgrade. The bathroom had a good shower and was bright and clean. I stayed in a single room, which was small of course. It did not have a bar fridge, but did have a kettle and tea/coffee, an open robe for clothes with room to also put my bag and a side table. The window opened and offered a nice view over Paddington rooftops and trees. Though Sussex Gardens is a busy road, I did not hear much noise when the window was closed. There is not much soundproofing between rooms, so I could hear my neighbours watching TV, but they did not stay up late! The wifi was fine. The hotel is very close to Paddington Station, making it a good base for getting around London. There are also some nice cafes and restaurants in the area, including Cocomaya on nearby Connaught Street (which also had lots of nice looking shops and restaurants) and Kioskafe on Norfolk Place, as well as lots of Lebanese restaurants on Edgeware Road.

I was greeted very fast when I arrived. No nice words, efficiency only. This hotel is very well located. The walk to Paddington (metro/train station) is very short -about 3 mins if you walk fast-, a LOT of food (restaurant + fast food) options. And when I say a lot, I mean a LOT !!! I was alone for a business trip and I had a room between the 1st and 2nd floor not facing the street. It was quiet at night even though if there are noises louder than the "normal", you can hear them (doors slamming, loud people...) The room is very small but I didn't need a palace. The bathroom is small as well but very functional. The shower was a dream (good water pressure, good control on the temperature, the heater dries the towel, clean... etc). I was just bothered by the fact that I didn't have a nightstand with some plugs, they're accros the room. Small inconvenience. TV works well, a lot of channel options. There is a kettle, tea and instant coffee. Breakfast is included in the price and is OK without being outstanding. The cleaning staff are hard workers and care about your well being, if you need anything... that kind of stuff (they knocked one morning I didn't need them to come and were very persistent about asking what my needs were and what I needed). Overall, it's an OK hotel. I gave it a 3, just like the number of stars it passed for.

Booked last minute as I needed to visit the US Embassy. Perfectly located - a short walk from Paddington station and Hyde Park. Which was a beautiful stroll in the morning to the embassy. Staff were pleasent and friendly - Happy for us to leave luggage behind and collect later in the day even after check out - save us lugging around all day shopping! Hotel offered discounted vouchers at reception - quite handy! Room was a decent size; all the amenities. Nothing more to be said! :)

This place is simply perfect! I have been there for the second time and again it was exactly perfect as the first time I went. I can say that the ABC Hyde park hotel is in a strategic position as it is very in the center of London and exactly one minute walking to paddington station, bekerloo line always available so very frequent and open until late during the weekends. Close to the hotel you have several restaurants choices for all your tastes! Amazing bars around and Hyde park and green park just by the corner to let you have a wonderful ride or walk into the charming British parks! I must say that a place itself cannot be that wonderful just because of the position and the facilities it has got, a place can be perfect if the STAFF is able to give you a perfect service. And these guys and girls working for ABC HYDE PARK HOTEL are so lovely and helpful. The really want you to be happy and feel home. I will never stop thanking Ahasan for such a service and help he always gives me, as this is my second time in this hotel. Ahsan as all the staff are very kind and friendly and want you to feel home. I do thank you again for such a stay. This is my second time and will not be the last one!!! This is my favorite hotel in London!!! Perfect price, amazing location, very nice food and cleanliness and "wow" service by the staff! I do not need more that is perfect for me! Highly recommended for all kinds of stay.

Stayed on a Friday night. Recent review is correct. It is mire like a b&b and my room was like an 80s spare room Breakfast was in a tiny-basement room. Where I had to share a table. But with two lovely ladies from Israel That said. Value for money definitely bathroom was nice. Room had kettle. To. Hairdryer. All you could need. Staff were friendly. You get what you pay for and I only paid £50. Would stay again

This hotel is on a pretty street a few minutes from Paddington tube and a short walk from a number of pubs and restaurants. We stayed in room 38 which was small and at the top of 8 flights of stairs. There is no lift. It was very clean, the staff friendly and there was plenty of food for breakfast in the small breakfast room which was down more stairs. Not for those with mobility issues but a pleasant change from uniform bog standard chain hotels

Great location very close to Paddington Tube Station. The hotel was clean and tidy and the staff were lovely. Even when I broke a key!!! Would recommend staying here for cost, cleanliness and location.

At first I was disappointed with the allocated room . However , the staff were very helpful they did everything in their power to relocate me into a better room. At the end of the day I left a happy customer . This hotel has low points that the rooms are quite small and that you can hear everything going on in the rooms upstairs and next to you ... hahaha . However it has two very strong positive points , very convenient you can literally walk to Hyde park , marble arch and oxford street that's fantastic , morning run in Hyde park is a must and secondly the Breakfast is absolutely fantastic ...
