Clean, comfortable room with en-suite located south side of Orleans with easy access to city centre and motorway. Sushi, Chinese and Indian style restaurants located across busy road from hotel within a few minutes walking distance.
Stopped over on the way back from Spain. Friday night and the restaurant was shut, however there are some good eateries across the road. We opted for La Rendezvous. A mixture of French and Italian. We had burgers 2 beef and 1 chicken. Pretty good value in all. The hotel breakfast €9.50, is normal continental fair, with as much as you can eat.
Good parking. Pleasant staff. Clean rooms.Comfortable beds.Tea,coffee, water and biscuits in room.Excellent breakfast and surprisingly good restaurant.Would be marked excellent if restaurant open at weekend. Lots of nearby restaurants though. Much better than Kyriad Saran.
Stayed here whilst traveling back and after having a terrible experience with another hotel on the trip south. I was very impressed and welcomed by the staff the room was small but clean and comfortable only downside was no air conditioning. Breakfast was well worth €9 and very well stocked and refreshed, overall highly recommend this hotel
The Kyriad Olivet hotel refused to allow cancellation despite the booking being made on the Kyriad.com website which highlights on its home page "no cancellation fee" when booked on the website. We booked the hotel in error since it was shown on the A71 Meridienne autoroute arriving at the kyriad at junction1 on the A71 at Orleans we realised our mistake, however staff at this hotel, the adjacent Campanile and the Kyriad at Olivet by phone were unable to provide maps or direct au to the Kyriad at Olivet a few miles away. Having driven over 800km from Spain and now with torrential rain at 6.30pm we decided the only sensible option was to stay at the Campanile Louvre hotel since the Kyriad was full. We anticipated that there would be good will associated with this hotel chain and hoped for some form of compensation, however e mails to the hotel e mails to the hotel and a contact form filled in on the Louvre hotel website received no reply. The Kyriad website had only specific hotel contact information. After a week another e mail to the Olivet hotel received a brief response confirming no cancellation refund, however future e mail were ignored. Be warned when booking Kyriad and Campanile hotels near the A71 and A13 junction at Orleans that is very easy to those at la Chapelle and Olivet and we know of several people who have made this mistake. For the future we will be following our hotel preferences over many years, ACE hotels in the Meridienne area of Franc, NH hotels in Europe and IFG and Accor worldwide. These hotel chauins have always proved to be particularly helpful if that little extra is needed.
By comparison to other more modern Kyriads, such as at Chartres, this hotel is very dated and the meals in the restaurant were not very exciting. However that said the hotel is ideally positioned for a stopover and is very comfortable. All the facilities in the hotel were fine and the hotel benefited from lack of traffic noise. My only real concern was that I had booked 3 rooms for 6 people on a half board basis, however on checking out the next morning I had to pay an extra 105euros as I was told that half board only applied to one person in each room and the other person would have to pay for an extra evening meal and breakfast. This is the only Kyriad that I have experienced this arrangement. I am in the throes of seeking a refund from Louvre Hotels.
A good room, comfortable for 3 adults, and a reasonable bathroom. Hot food not available on a Saturday night, which is disappointing. The breakfast was not available until 7 am so too late for us on this particular. overall, good value
We stayed on a Friday night at the end of August and the hotel was quiet. The receptionist didn't speak English but we muddled through fine, with directions to the local restaurants (there is one in the hotel but it's closed on Friday evenings). There's a great choice of restaurants just across the road including Indian, Chinese, Japanese and a grill. The rooms are small and the walls are paper thin, but it's fine for a one night stay. The breakfast was particularly good. All in all a decent enough hotel but not sure we'll be back.
We booked a triple room here. It was adequate - very small as expected for this type of hotel however there was a bath (appreciated) rather than just shower. The room was clean with OK decor. Noise levels were not too bad. Also tea/coffee making facilities were appreciated. We did not find it very easy to find as it's on the edge of a commercial area with other hotels and supermarkets etc and the google directions are not very good (we had the same problem when staying in the nearby Comfort Hotel). This commercial area does contain a couple of restaurants for evening meals - we went to the Italian style Del Arte, a decent chain restaurant, and a McDonalds. Breakfast at the Kyriad was OK, although not good value (especially when there are several in the party).
We arrived without pre-booking, were sincerely welcomed and accommodated. The prices on a display board outside reception made all charges clear, the room was clean and functional and comfortable (a bit like a U.S. 60s motel?). We slept very well and had a breakfast the next morning nice and early that was worth the additional cost (though mainly a cold buffet unless you did toast or tried to boil an egg!). Parking was easy and convenient right outside the entrance, and we would recommend this good value and quiet hotel for a one-nighter en voyage.
