Had a nice stay at the Hilton hotel was clean and to a good standard we had a great view from our room and we slept pretty well. Breakfast was good no complaints and evening meal was also good and staff were attentive and friendly. Overall we were happy with our stay. Negative: parking v steep £15 per day
I always stay here when working in Liverpool and always have a perfect stay. Great location and parking, comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff. I'm on a strict nutrition plan currently and the staff and kitchen couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating at my most recent stay. Huge thanks. I will certainly return.
Excellent staff, very helpful and overall the hotel no faults for me. I know the brand and it has always looked after me as a solo traveller. the location is perfect as all the attractions are close by and an easy walk.
This Hotel was not cheap but then you don't expect cheap with the Hilton. My boy was running in the marathon and location was just ideal. The room had a sea view overlooking the docks with floor to ceiling windows and we sat in the room watching the half marathon. When we checked in we enquired about the extra bed in the room which they were unaware of but they handled this straight away and by the time we had got to the room the bed turned up and was put in with very little fuss. Room was excellent, very clean and tidy. Reception was very friendly and helpful. I liked bar area as one section of booths where your family could drink with a bit of privacy and another more open with big screen. With our room we could have breakfast either on the ground floor in the restaurant or up in the exec breakfast area. This was very nice as this area was very private with hot and cold breakfast where you helped yourself. There was also a gym that you could use if you so wished. Only criticism if any was that the produce in the room bar was extra if you wanted anything. The situation of the Hotel was perfect for visiting the Docks, the shopping centre and attractions in the city, all within walking distance. No parking at the hotel, however there was a public car park virtually next to the Hotel. Entrance is in the middle of the road in front of the Hotel. Brightly lit and reasonable cost. On exiting the Carpark you come out 100 yards away from the Hotel. Worth the extra cost and I would stay there again.
Visited here for a meal with friends having checked the menu as one of our friends is dairy and red meat intolerant so not always easy to find menus to suit her and this one looked ok. Food was lovely but can only give 3 stars as despite been informed when booking of one our party's food allergy, it seemed to take forever to try and sort out a meal for her with numerous trips to the kitchen by the staff checking. Staff tried hard but it would have been much simpler if a chef had come out and suggested what she could eat. Surely in such a large hotel chain they have a range of adapted dishes to cover this. Be aware, being the Hilton , drinks are quite expensive and there is a 12.5% service charge which isn't displayed on the menu.
A one Friday night stay after visiting The Beatles Story and museums just across the road, arrived early and was given our room, very friendly staff, the hotel is a little dated but the rooms where very good, we had a room over looking the docks that was just across the road, the room was very quite for a city center hotel and the bed was very comfortable. I have a Hilton Gold card and was given access to the executive lounge with complimentary drinks and snacks between 6 pm and 8 pm and free breakfast. Super location for the sites and night life just a short walk to the Mathew Street area will be back soon.
Great location helpful and elegant staff, quick check in, clean room, air conditioned, good and diverse breakfast. It was such an exceptional experience I will definitely try it again if I visit Liverpool in the near future
We always stay here when in Liverpool. Ideally situated by the docks and shopping. Executive rooms give free access to the executive lounge. Pretty poor this time around. Breakfast is no longer there to nibble in mornings, they allow you downstairs in main breakfast area. Didn't like that. Coffee machine in the lounge was broken. So was my heart. We paid £120 more for two rooms with executive lounge access for nothing. I won't do it again. We will stay there but they need to pull themselves together. They are a hilton after all
Been here a few times and always had a good stay. This time was no exception. My partner surprised me by upgrading the gift of the stay to a suite for the night. The Suite was lovely, spacious and worth every penny. The bedroom and bathroom were huge and the bath was massive and brilliant for relaxing in. My partner had arranged for some drinks and chocolate dipped strawberries to be in the room on arrive, but this hadn't been done. He had to phone down three times to get these brought to the room. We also had no bathrobes and the mini-bar hadn't been restocked. This was down to lack of staff. The poor staff members were run ragged and more are clearly needed. When staff brought robes and restocked mini-bar they were very pleasant and offered apologies, even though they were run of their fee! My partner had booked the exec Suite so we had access to the exec lounge. In the past this has been great with lots of choice of snacks through the day, then between 6pm and 8pm a huge selection of alcohol and hot snacks. This time the snacks during the day consisted of some rice cake snacks and shortbread biscuits with the usual tea, coffee and soft drinks- only lemonade, Diet Coke and ginger bear on our arrival (fridges hadn't been restocked as there used to be at least one member of staff on duty in the exec lounge at all times, but now this only happens between 6 and 8) Between 6 and 8, the choices were very slim this time. Bottle of beer or cheap wine, then BBQ wings or spring rolls for hot snacks. The cold selection wasn't great. Nowhere near as good as it used to be, and nowhere near as much on offer as other Hilton exes lounges. Lots of people were commenting on this during our time in the room. We headed down to the bar and had a good drink in Pima Bar and then headed to town, returning to have a lovely night in the Suite. Very relaxing and a good night sleep. We went down to Exchange Restaurant for breakfast, where usually exec breakfast is in exec lounge. It worked much better this time having breakfast in Exchange Restaurant. Great selection- much more than what exec lounge breakfast offers. Good quality food and eggs cooked to order if requested. Staff very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. All in all a fantastic stay and if staying again, I would definitely book the exec Suite to relax in, and although exec lounge isn't as good as previous visits it is still worth the extra money, even if only for the breakfast! Parking also good price compared to other city centre hotels- £11 for 24 hours is a good price and I hope it remains this price in the future.
Stayed for 4 nights with 'tourist' motivation. The hotel is ideally located within walking distance of many attractions, adjacent to a very good shopping centre and with friendly welcoming staff. With Hhons gold membership we were upgraded to an executive room which was spacious and comfortable. Online we had pre-ordered additional pillows, free, a useful optional feature. The breakfast fare was excellent, although the music played throughout the experience was poorly chosen and mildly irritating. The executive lounge was well-run, but always over-populated which made it quite noisy. Our only serious niggle was having to argue with the restaurant manager over the 20% discount we were entitled to at dinner one evening (our wedding anniversary). He insisted on seeing a 'gold card' which I assumed was the Hhons card. Since I didn't have this with me, I suggested looking at my account online to verify, but he would/could not. After a publicly embarrassing dialogue, eventually he gave us some discount. Reporting this on checkout, we learnt that we should have been given a 'local' gold card identification on check-in, and this is what he expected us to have. Apparently the supply of cards had run out on the day we arrived. An unfortunate and avoidable interlude on an otherwise enjoyable stay.
