We loved our stay at The Tagus Houseboat. The boat was very clean and spacious and well equipped. We only had one night here and I wish we had stayed longer: The location was great and close to restaurants and cafes.

We chose this houseboat stay on our last night in Lisbon & we are so glad we did. Our stay was probably one of the most memorable of our entire trip. The accommodations were superb & just as described. We arrived early & the manager Rui offered to store our luggage until our boat was ready for check-in. This allowed us to explore nearby & we ended up visiting the Lisbon Aquarium, which I also highly recommend. Rui even gave us a 15% coupon for admission. Once checked in, we ended up sharing a bottle of wine & chatting with our neighbor Blayne in the next boat over who was staying there long term. Our only regret is that we only had one night in the houseboat before we had to catch our flight back to the US.

This was by far our most unique residence. Near the bustle of the city and over the waves, this location has the best of both worlds. My stay was filled with feelings of security and peace, and an appreciation for the short distance between the boat and the city's diverse set of dining experiences. Inside, the rocking of the waves was never felt, and no sea sickness was caused. Instead, the boat provided a cozy, warm environment, perfect to return to after a long day of sightseeing!

This was a unique experience for our last night I. Portugal. It’s conveniently located close to the airport and there are a number of food places nearby etc. We also checked out the aquarium which was great for kids. The boat does sway somewhat though the night and it’s a bit noisy with bars etc. nearby. Aside from those minor issues, it’s a nice spot for a night or two.

Lovely stay in a great houseboat. Super clean, near good cafes and bars, and a short walk from a bus stop to get to everywhere else in Lisbon. We had a great time. The kitchen is quite basic so we mainly ate breakfast or brought food in when in the boat. The bar on the marina is jumping on Friday and Saturday night. Best to join in.

We had a great time staying on the houseboat at the Tagus Marina. We were warmly welcomed by staff at the front office and given a thorough tour of the boat. While not walkable to the "downtown"/historic area of Lisbon, the location of the marina was excellent, and felt clean and safe. There were plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby, including a nice grocery store. The train station and airport are within about a 15 minute drive. The boat was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We would definitely stay again!

Such a pleasant surprise! Spacious, all the amenities you need and handy location to the aquarium and a children’s science museum. A lot of restaurants nearby and a supermarket 5min walk. Recommended!
