Excellent location and a very decent hotel. Fine breakfast.

Good Location, near train station, shopping and restaurants!

The staff at check-in was wonderful. the system was not working well, so the challenge with check in was purely technical. Staff were apologetic and diligent about getting us taken care of. The hotel was comfortable, and it was a perfect place to land before flying off the next morning.

Great location and good service. The pillows were lumpy.

We stayed here on our last night so we could be close to the airport for a 5 am flight. The room was modern but still had a comfortable feel to it. The bathroom was nice and large. The hotel bar/restaurant was reasonably priced and the food was very tasty. It is right across the street from the Vasco de Gama mall, train station, and couple blocks from the casino.

Convenient stay before early morning flight. Lots of cafes around, metro station nearby. Our room was modest but clean and modern. Internet -good. The staff was very polite and helpful. Free airport shuttle is great for early morning flight - just a 5 minute drive from the hotel.

Walking distance from park of nations, clean and comfortable, excellent breakfast, unfortunately the drain in our tub was stuck, so that was pretty uncomfortable, and the staff didn't fix it on time, but we only had one night there, so we let it slide

Hotel well located, close to train station and shopping.

Have stayed here many times. Top floors with a river view are best. Request a higher floor if no river view is available as noise from the train station may bother some. Literally 5 minutos from the airport. Next to the train and bus stations. Across from a great mall. Comfortable beds and accommodating staff with excellent English. Far from the old part of Lisbon but transport is easy and cheap ( taxi @ 8 €). Lovely river side walk, plenty of restaurants and sights like the aquarium, science museum, casino in the área.

Very central to everything in Lisbon close to mall and restaurants I recommend this hotel. Close to the train station and airport.. Area very clean and safe.

We had a 15 hour layover en route from Nice to Newark. Having never been to Lisbon, we chose the Tryp Oriente based on online reviews that indicated it was beautiful and in a much better location than the average airport hotel. In this case, the runner up was a good hotel name brand nearer to the airport, but we still would have had to pay for a taxi or a shuttle, and it was described as in one of those nondescript locations which don't give you a feel for a city at all--if you want one! The Tryp Oriente was right across the street from a huge indoor shopping mall that was open until midnight. So after arriving at around 8:30 p.m., and enjoying a very good dinner in the hotel, we strolled across the boulevard to window shop a bit and perhaps get a little idea of Portuguese culture. Admittedly, we did not get to see any of the old city, and it was a mall , after all, but the architecture in the neighborhood was dramatic and striking. It's near a very modern train station that doesn't look like one. We were very happy with our choice. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the only minus being that the breakfast needed attention and the staff were mostly trainees who had started work that particular morning at 5 a.m.; there was a bicycle race going on that day! The front desk staff were very apologetic, and bilingual. This is important, because even if you have a passing knowledge of French, Italian and Spanish (which we do) a lot of the language is surprisingly unintelligible. Lastly, we got a great rate, so the hotel was a bargain.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. The bed was very comfortable and the staff friendly. We would definately stay here again.
