Nice hotel. Right near the metro so easy to get everywhere. The neighborhood was quiet so great for sleeping in if you want to. Staff is very courteous and helpful. Good breakfast with multiple things to choose from. The hotel is very clean and well maintained and the room was comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.
The hotel is in a great location. The Breakfast is good, room is small but clean. My only complain is the air condition kind of noise. The rating only allow me select 4 or 5. I put 4 here but I actually want give a number between 4 & 5.
We stayed at Dom since it was affordable. The service was great. Our safety box was broken and they replaced it right away. Also Anna at the desk was very helpful. She was well traveled and suggested places for us to visit. Absolutely loved Portugal.

This is a very nice hotel in a Central location. Off the beaten path but close to all the night life and mass transit. Fantastic breakfast and late night self serve bar on the honor system. I would definitely stay here again!
Dom Carlos park was not bad. The breakfast was decent and the room was okay. The location was pretty good. Overall I give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
This hotel is conveniently located in the City Center, close to the metro and walking distance to several attractions. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good and included. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We especially like the "honesty bar" set up in the afternoon for a cocktail and cup of soup with fresh baked bread.
I would have given higher ratings, but they didn't provide airport transportation as promise. After checking out, nobody at the desk could "remember" that they ever advertised this. It left a bitter taste n n otherwise pleasant experience at the hotel.
IF YOU WANT TO KNOW LISBON, THIS IS AN EXCELLENT HOTEL. YOU CAN TAKE THE TOUR BUS VERY CLOSE TO THE HOTEL. GOOD PRICE
Pros: This hotel is really nice, very clean, good attendees, nice wifi, and is in a perfect location (which somehow compensates the price). Cons: I would love a variety breakfast, after a week I got tired of the same menu. The rooms are really small, in my case I didnt have even a small table for my laptop.
We wanted a convenient, economical place for a few days' sightseeing. The Don Carlos Park fit our needs - not too far from the airport, Metro stop a few steps away, and breakfast included. It was small, clean, quiet, staff helpful (if bit reserved), nicely furnished, with excellent buffet breakfast. Almost like staying at a private club at a budget price. Not in a tourist neighborhood, and only a few restaurants within walking distance. But adjacent Metro and buses made easy access to points of interest. We would definitely go back.
Staff was friendly and helpful and I would have stayed again on my final night in Lisboa but the price went way up even though I did not stay two consecutive nights at Dom Carlos. One night was a Sunday 20, May and the other would have been Wednesday 23, May. If they had been the same rate, I would have stayed both nights. Instead I stayed at a Hotel for a similar price (of the first night with Dom Carlos) nearby and only night with Dom Carlos. I was very dissappointed in the other hotel in comparison.
A party of three in one room, we stayed at the Dom Carlos for just over a week, having selected the hotel based on Orbitz traveler reviews. We were not disappointed, and offer the following observations: 1. We looked forward to the included breakfast, which was available up to 11:30 a.m. each morning. (Great for night owls!) 2. The staff was generally outstanding (night manager had the attitude of someone who stayed up all night - no surprise there!) 3. Room was small for three beds, but layout made it manageable. Beds were quite firm. Small screen LCD TV. Digital combo safe. Small fridge mostly occupied by hotel's expensive goodies. 4. Plumbing was fine, housekeeping ok, room was quiet - altho ours overlooked the side street, which allowed us to hear the 1am garbage pick-up. 5. Neighborhood appeared safe, hotel was handy to Marquis de Pombal metro stop. Pombal is two to three metro stops away from the sightseeing areas of interest. 6. Purchase of combination metro/bus pass from machines in the metro station gave us unlimited 24 hour access to all metro/bus/tram/trolley in Lisbon. Metro was very efficient. 7. While the "eating street" full of restaurants is only two metro stops away, we also enjoyed the concentrated variety offered by the huge Colombo Shopping Center food court (escola militar / luz metro stop on the blue line, which runs thru Pombal) 8. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Dom Carlos, and would return in a heartbeat! 9. Would be nice if Orbitz system could be updated to accommodate "triples", instead of leaving traveler with concern that three beds will be available for a party of three.
