I had a nice stay at the apartment in Alfama. You can walk from this unit to most of the interesting sites in 15 to 20 minutes. The waterfront where you can take a boat ride or watch sunset is just about a 5 minute walk. Restaurants and small markets everywhere. One very popular restaurant right out the front door. Bear in mind that many streets around Lisbon are very narrow and many steps you will take almost every place you go. Some accomodations can't be reached by taxi and they get you as close as possible and still some steps and navigation to get to your place. Google maps almost a necessity around this city until you learn it. The apartment was comfortable as a solo traveler. Two people in there would be the limit. I would recommend this place.
