At the time we stayed, the hotel was undergoing its transition from Glo by Best Western to the now Holiday Inn Express Lexington Horse Park Area. We booked the hotel because we have stayed there before and like it, and with the expectation that we would get a good hot breakfast as in the past. On the afternoon of our scheduled arrival, we received a text from the hotel explaining that due to the renovation, the breakfast area, pool, and fitness room were not available, and we would receive a "Grab and Go" breakfast. This consisted of a frozen sausage biscuit sandwich, an apple, and a small yogurt parfait. The microwave in the room was not up to the task of properly heating the sandwich, so we had food that was hot on the edges and still nearly frozen in the middle. We ended up getting breakfast elsewhere. There are very few restaurants in this area of Lexington, so it is not likely that we will stay here again, unless Holiday Inn's prices are considerably lower than they typically are.

The breakfast area was under construction. Parking area was full of construction trailers and equipment. sawing boards at the front entrance. room we were in was large and decorated nicely. Staff was very apologetic. The breakfast was frozen muffin sandwiches to take back to the room to microwave.

Spacious room with 2 queen beds, clean, good room amenities. There are renovations exterior and in lobby and breakfast area, so only bagged breakfast. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. They made effort to do as best as possible for us to ease the annoyance of construction. We got a great online price, maybe because of the remodeling.

My stay in December was polar opposite from my stay in November. They are currently transitioning from Glo by best western to now by holiday inn. The Reno was not advertised- they had two floors closed. Used the ONLY luggage cart for carrying trash by the contractors to the garbage. My room had zero heat and they only compensated my pet fee back as they had no rooms to move me too! Their amazing breakfast was not served due to weather so we had to go get McDonald’s before hitting the road. The gentlemen working nights is amazing but I physically had to find workers in the am to check out and discuss my stay. Depending on policies etc with the change to holiday inn I may or may not return. Bummer because was hoping I could keep this on my list for my yearly trip.

Hotel is under renovations which we were not aware of when booking. The fitness room was not available due to this and we wanted to use the facility.
