Liberty Festival Kentucky Horse Park

The house is wonderfully located in the Joyland area of Lexington. With a little bit of attention and a few upgrades inside, along with cleaning up the exterior, it would be an a stellar rental.

Such a great find for us!

This was central to so many things my family planned on doing in Kentucky! It was very clean and the perfect size for the 4 of us!! I would definitely book again because there were STILL many things we would have done if we has more time... and yes we stayed 7 nights. 🙂

Stay was nice! It is an older home and needs a few repairs! Toilet seat would slide around every time you went to the potty. Could use anti slip strips in tub, it was very slick. Needs a little more lights and lower mirrors. I’m a short person and had to use mirror in kitchen! Needs an extra hand towel or two and a dish towel as well.

Quaint location

Over all it was a good experience. A full length mirror would be nice. And sometime down the road some insolation between the two apartments would benefit you, It’s not very sound proof.

Clara Review

This older property was clean and lights being on when arriving felt welcoming. However, several maintenance issues need to be addressed including electrical outlets and stovetop exhaust fan. Furniture, while clean, has had much use and is difficult to get in and out of.

Nice location. Cute place. Definitely could have been a little cleaner. Grass and weeds were high. It also says sleeps 5. We only had 4 but two people slept separate and there were no extra blankets or pillows. Just what was on the beds. Also 4 people 2 nights and not enough towels and washcloths left. It wasn’t bad by no means but definitely could use some repairs and a little extra care. We would still stay again because the price was fair for what you get.

Convenient

Picked this house because it had enough room for our family, it was convenient to restaurants, and it was close to Keeneland, which is where my race was held. Plenty of room and very clean. Didn’t see any extra towels. They did provide one per person though. If you need extra towels, might want to request it. I would book this house again.

Family Weekend

For the time we spent there it was a very nice stay. It was clean and spacious. It is an older home, but seemed taken care of. I personally would do a few upgrades. I would put some area carpets in the living room and dining room to help keep the sound down (especially if you have young children playing). I would also upgrade the blind in the bedrooms to ones that don’t let so much light in and maybe hang blackout curtains. All in all this was a decent place to stay, was convenient to the places we wanted to to. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful.

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE. As we approached the property the trees in the front yard blocked the view of the house(duplex). The yard was not mowed. There were 20 to 30 cars parked along the street. There is no driveway or sidewalk up to the front door.We went around to the side and found an old wooden fence. I went in and found a dirty bowl on the concrete pad entry. I went back around to the front to make sure it was the correct address. At that point my wife and our handicapped friend said they would not stay. We left.

Horse park

Kitchen needs a few more items, like a toaster, dishrags and scrubers. Obviously not many people cook there. Faucets in bathroom need attention. Very hard to control water and turn off the water. Water heater set very high. Hot water extremely hot! Overall convenient to where we were going and comfortable beds. Just needs a few more homey touches.

Okay

For some reason I was sent a scripted email that did not have the code to get in. We tried calling and calling and calling the property manager. They would not answer. It was an hour and a half past our check in time that they finally "texted" me back after I had sent 2 messages as well. Didn't offer any reimbursements. There were kid stickers on the wall which was strange. There was wax sticks laying in the bathroom which was gross! Under the couch was so dusty it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. They basic cleaning had been done just needs a little more
