Welcome to The Orchard Retreat, your serene sanctuary in the heart of Leura. Nestled among heritage trees on the grounds of an old orchard, this beautifully transformed A-frame home blends modern comfort with timeless mountain character. Step inside and you’ll find a home designed for both gathering and retreating, where every season paints the garden and surrounding landscape in its own kind of magic.



With three bedrooms, multiple living and dining spaces, a sunlit back room, and a broad front deck, there is room here for everyone to find their place — whether it’s sharing meals and conversation, or slipping quietly into stillness among the trees.



The central fireplace is the heart of the home: a crackling wood fire for long winter evenings, while reverse-cycle heating ensures instant comfort at the touch of a button. Upstairs, a peaceful second lounge and study provide flexibility — a spot to work remotely, curl up with a book, or let the kids enjoy their own movie or board game night.



Step out onto the balcony overlooking the pond, where you can greet the morning with a coffee, watch native birds flutter through the garden, or end the day stargazing under the mountain skies.

A Place with a Story

This land once formed part of a flourishing orchard, later incorporated into the famed Everglades Garden, designed by Danish landscape architect Paul Sorensen. Today, the property still holds echoes of that history — with apple, pear, and cherry trees continuing to thrive, and the house itself lovingly wrapped around them. A zen garden and shallow pond welcome frogs, birds, and other native wildlife, while a small Buddha beneath an apple tree offers a quiet symbol of peace.
