First time stay for us at burleigh court. Outskirts of Loughborough so easy to get to the site entrance(and close to plenty of lovely Leicestershire countryside) . Have to go through uni security barriers, which just feels a bit odd (though not run a mock with students) . Decent car park. Smart looking hotel and foyer. Quick and easy check in and out. Didn't eat. Nice double room, standard furnishings, nice hard bed (though the missus was less keen, I slept like a baby), good array of refreshments including 2x bottle of water (with ice machines on the landing), nice bathroom with cracking shower (the sort that stings when cranked right up) and a mirror that didn't appear to mist up (to the benefit of anyone wanting a shave without spending double the time towelling their mirror off) . Views of the physics block were less appealing. Not sure if the was air con, but windows open should one prefer fresher air. Nice little gym, just used one of the 4x treadmills, but there appeared an adequate selection of quality equipment for anyone wanting a full body exercise. Limited time and travel plans meant no pool, jacuzzi or sauna time - perhaps next time. Would go back, good quality hotel at proportionate price.
Stayed on the weekend for one night, check in was quick and easy.Room was pleasant and spacious, bed was comfy and no issues with our stay at all. Paid for breakfast the next morning which offered a wide range of choices. Will stay here again when in the area
This hotel has been unbelievable, it's up there with the Hiltons of the world, the rooms are more than enough, very clean, and staff in the restaurant are polite and very welcoming !! Incredible for £48, and I'm not a cheap skate it was the only left at short notice and I'll definitely come back, well done !!!
We had a lovely Mother's Day lunch for nine people. Salad or soup for starters, carvery for main & then desserts. My 15 year old son has Coeliac disease and has to follow a strict gluten-free diet. Whilst my daughter was trying to decide on her choice of dessert, I asked the waitress if they offered any gluten- free desserts. My son started muttering to me that he would probably only be offered vanilla ice cream ( as is so often the case!). Then the waitress came out and said they had a chocolate and almond tart that was gluten-free. My sons eyes lit up and after eating it he said it was delicious. Thank you so much! It's so nice to go somewhere that can be bothered to also cater for people with Coeliacs!
Burleigh Court is a Confernce Cntre/Hotel and Restaurant on the University Campus. Reception and restaurant staff very attenative without being overbearing. The meal was 3 course followed by tea/coffeein the lounge. A little pricey but worth the cost.
I stayed here for 1 night visiting the science park on business. I stayed in an annex and the room is clean and ok, but really small. I would not reccommend to try the room service. I ordered saussages and mash and this was probably the worst bangers and mash I have ever had. The saussages served at breakfast was a lot better (breakfast was actually very good here). In general I would choose to stay anywhere else unless you want to be close to the university or the science park.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The power cut was well managed and had little impact, with alternative breakfast being arranged later that morning. The room was excellent, with a very comfortable bed and the option of room service at no extra charge
I have stayed at this hotel before and absolutely loved it. The spa is also worth a visit. Unfortunately during my most recent stay I opted for a lodge room (cheaper option) and really wish I hadn't. The room is not spacious at all and you can hear everything from the room above you. I also couldn't get the shower to switch on. It seemed like it was a dial that needed a lot of force to be twisted, but being a dainty female, I just couldn't get it to budge! I was thankful for the showers at Burleigh Springs! Next time I will just pay the extra money for the comfy, more luxurious rooms.
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights purely for convenience, as I was treated to a Steam Locomotive driving experience on the nearby heritage Great Central Railway. When you enter the campus you have to obtain a visitors pass from the gatehouse. Must admit have never stayed at an hotel on a university campus, but we were very impressed. There is a large car park adjacent to the hotel, but no problem in finding a space. Very friendly welcome at reception. Had a suite, including breakfast, at £105-30 per night, which incredibly good value. Sleep quality very good. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. We had bar meals in the evening which was reasonably priced, and can highly recommended the burger. Overall service was excellent, with many staff and lots of smiles and friendly chat. Cannot praise this hotel too highly, and well done to the staff for maintaining such high standards.
Went here with my family for Sunday lunch in the restaurant. The food is fantastic. There is a selection of fish, salad, soup and bread for starter. The main course is a carvery, which is 3 meats, fish or vegetarian option as well as veg, potatoes etc. The food is very good quality and cooked excellently. There is a choice of 7/8 deserts, I had peanut butter cheesecake which was very nice. The staff are really friendly, and the service was excellent. The restaurant is really spacious with lots of room, and there is a lounge to have coffee/teas afterwards. Couldn't recommend Burleigh Court restaurant any higher, well worth a visit.
