We just had a delightful family reunion in Lava Hot Springs. The yurts were so much fun. This is glamping at its finest! Our family of 27 people rented all five yurts from Wed-Sat. Everyone got a kick out of the themed-decor. We shared meals, so we spent time in each one. Every person in our group had a different favorite-- but each one had fun lamps, headboards, tables, and art unique to its theme. We enjoyed finding music from the different areas to play when a meal was served there. The yurts are roomy and spotlessly clean. The beds are comfortable, the towels are fluffy, and the kitchen had everything we needed. It's only 8 minutes to the pools and the Portneuf River, and about 20 minutes to Soda Springs. This is a great location to enjoy everything in this beautiful area. If you've never been to Lava Hot Springs, you should be warned that there is a lot of train traffic. That means, you'll hear trains all night almost anywhere you stay. It's the only downside of these yurts- but you will have the same problem anywhere else near Lava. We smiled when we saw a jar of earplugs in each yurt. That was great. Our group would definitely stay here again. We had a terrific stay! We give it 5 stars, 2 thumbs up, 10/10, A.
