Architectural Mirror Cabin | Hot Tub

Welcome to Muir, an architectural mirror cabin designed for quiet immersion in the woods of the Hocking Hills. One of two mirrored homes at Notestone Reserve, Muir is inspired by the work of John Muir and his deep connection to the natural world. Designed for couples or solo travelers, the space features a comfortable queen bed, a thoughtfully equipped kitchenette, and inviting indoor areas for relaxed evenings. Outside, enjoy your own private hot tub and seating area surrounded by the stillness of the forest.

During the day, the mirrored exterior reflects the surrounding woods, allowing the cabin to blend seamlessly into its natural setting. In the evening, the glass becomes transparent from the inside, creating an immersive experience of the landscape beyond. For privacy, the bathrooms feature frosted glass, and curtains are provided throughout the home for additional seclusion.

Muir is part of a small collection of thoughtfully designed homes at Notestone Reserve. The property is intentionally arranged to offer a welcoming shared atmosphere while still providing private outdoor spaces and a peaceful sense of retreat.

Note: Due to a leak, the pond has been temporarily drained and is currently undergoing necessary repairs. We appreciate your understanding as we work to restore it as quickly as possible.

📶 Connectivity

Free satellite WiFi is provided, but connectivity can be spotty due to our remote location. Many guests enjoy the opportunity to unplug and reconnect with nature. Refunds are not issued for WiFi interruptions.

🌿 Natural Setting

Our home is located in a wooded area. While we maintain regular pest control, occasional sightings of insects or small critters are possible and are a normal part of being in nature.

⚠️ House Rules

• No parties or events (including bachelor/bachelorette parties); no glitter
• Only registered guests may enter the property
• No smoking, vaping, fireworks, ATVs, hunting, or weapons
• No commercial photography or videography without written approval
• Hot tub: use striped towels only, keep cover on when not in use, avoid temperature changes
• Septic system: flush toilet paper only; no garbage disposal

Violations may result in a $300 fine and/or forfeiture of the security deposit.

📋 Additional Notes

All guests must sign a renter agreement prior to arrival. A $300 security deposit hold will be placed and released within five days after checkout, pending no damage or rule violations.
