Our dog Rudy enjoyed being shown around the yard by Lady. Ramon was considerate and put a water bowl on the porch & even provided a dog bed. House was spotless, bed comfy & porch relaxing. Had a great meal at The Loft which was Ramon’s suggestion. Great hosts & suite. Definitely recommend.

Perfect Getaway

What a cute little home! We stayed overnight and had everything we needed. The property is so well taken care of - pretty flowers and trees everywhere! A nice little porch to relax on when the weather is right. The inside was perfect size for a couple - nice comfy queen bed - claw foot tub, perfect for soaking after a warm day exploring. Wish we could have stayed longer to relax in the serene yard... Ramon answered all our questions and he and his partner were so nice! We also enjoyed visiting with Lady and she welcomed our Marlee to the property!

I said YES! 1000 times YES!

This quaint little retreat on the outskirts of downtown was just perfect! The space was cozy and quiet. The art is masterful and unique. The back porch is where we sat, relaxed, and enjoyed the garden, the plants, and our mini-hostess Lady! Jon and Ramon were absolutely charming and welcoming. But the best party of all was having my best friend, the love of my life, my forever and always, ask me to share the rest of my life with her. Without hesitation I said yes! Jon and Ramon were so sweet to help with the surprise making everything absolutely perfect! A destination we will definitely be returning to!

Convenient to Town

As shown, very convenient to town, 5th Ave goes straight in. Owners were very friendly, responsive & helpful with recommendations. Great yard for our dog too!

Ramon is a helpful and gracious host. The accommodations are well-appointed and comfortable. While I did not speak with Jon, his very unique art work is all over the place and adds a uniqueness you won't find at other places. And, of course, Lady is a joyful, friendly, four-legged greeting party!

Amazing stay!

The property was beautiful and so relaxing! Sitting on the porch with the plants and beautiful flowers with butterflies and birds flitting about was very peaceful. Ramon and Jon were very accommodating with a late checkout and helping us “old timers” figure out the tv remote! The bed was like sleeping on a cloud and we had everything needed to make our stay comfortable. Ramon and Jon were very friendly while giving us the privacy we needed. However, our favorite host was probably their lab, Lady! She was so sweet and welcoming! They offered places to eat and sites to see. We would highly recommend their place and would definitely stay there again!

A little slice of heaven

The Gingerbird Art Studio is the quaintest little slice of heaven. It’s such a welcoming little place to stay. I was greeted by Ramon upon my arrival and later in the evening I got to meet Jon as well. Lady was around the garden that night. Such a cozy home away from home! Jon, Ramon & Lady are the best hosts and I hope to come back for a longer stay next time.

Ginger Bird Art Boutique

Both Lisa and I loved the art boutique. It was very cozy and comfortable. The plants everywhere were a beautiful addition to the environment. Ramon and Jon were helpful with names and addresses of local attractions and cafes and restaurants. Can’t wait to go back!

Comfortable, Cozy Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Ramon, Jon, and Lady! Their home is so warm and inviting, and it was so fun to stay in a home that was featured on Hometown! The yard was absolutely beautiful and the perfect place for our 6 month old Golden doodle to run around and make friends with Lady! It was so nice to visit with the host and we so appreciated the recommendations he offered and the homemade dog treats he gave our puppy! You’ll want to stay at Ramon and Jon’s place if you’re in Laurel! We’ll definitely stay again when we’re in the area!

Peaceful!!

Ramon, Jon and Lady were all so welcoming and friendly. The flowers and plants in their backyard were beautiful. The accommodations were very nice. We’ll go back to stay there if we’re traveling that direction in the future. So thankful they were pet friendly!! Highly recommend you choose THIS ONE !!

Perfect, relaxing oasis, close to downtown Laurel

The Ginger Bird Art Suite is very quaint, inviting, and cozy, with excellent hosts, including sweet Lady🐾. We had a wonderful experience & felt right at home from the moment we arrived, thanks to a warm welcome & attention to detail, surrounded by Jon's artwork adorning every wall. Everything is provided for a comfortable stay, including a private entrance, a very comfy bed, & an assortment of pillows to choose from. There’s a small, full-size refrigerator/freezer, Keurig coffee maker with pods, assortment of teas & sweetener, dinnerware & coffee cups, and washer & dryer in the kitchenette. Apple TV with streaming apps in bedroom, strong WiFi . In the spacious bathroom, there are fluffy towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, & even epsom salt & essential oils for the bathtub. (There’s no shower, so keep in mind for anyone with mobility issues.) We loved relaxing in the rocking chairs on the back porch with coffee or a cocktail, listening to the birds & enjoying the garden & plants. Less than a 10 minute drive to downtown Laurel. Ramon made great restaurant & activity recommendations for exploring their “Home Town.” We left with fond memories & look forward to returning.

A terrific week

We spent an entire week here. We had our dogs plus my husband and myself. It was just perfect. Close to downtown Laurel and so quaint. A beautiful space decorated beautifully with character and whimsy. Jon the artist, had his artwork displayed in the residence as well. The kitchen area was well appointed and the washer dryer was convenient too. The bed was extremely comfortable. The outdoor patio was idyllic and we often sat there in the evening or in the morning. Lady, the resident dog of the owners , was a sweetheart who came to our door every morning to wait and see our dogs! The gardens were starting to bloom and the little nooks and crannies of the gardens were charming. As a gardener myself I loved that. The only drawback is no shower. Beautiful tub with a sprayer. We considered it a make it work moment. I would stay here again and fully recommend it. Jon and Ramon were outstanding hosts.
