Very happy with this hotel! Staff are friendly and service is great. Pet friendly at a reasonable price! If you have well trained family pets, I highly recommend this location. Hotel is not next to busy streets. It's tucked away in a corner where there is a great walk path to the east of the hotel to walk your dog. Now our only place to stay when visiting family in Las Cruces!
When I called to make the reservation, I asked if there was a hot-tub. Was told yes. Upon checkin, I asked about the hot-tub, was given instructions on how to get to it and even warm towels. However, when we went outside to the tub & pool, we discovered that it was about 100degreesF. Way too cold for a hot-tub in 50degree temps. When we told the front desk that the pool and the hot-tub were the same temp, they said they were both heated. After explaining that a hot-tub should be MUCH hotter than a heated pool, the desk agent indicated that they would go "turn it on, but didn't know if we would want to wait for it". This didn't seem like it made sense, but giving them the benefit of the doubt, we checked it the next morning. It was even colder. The day agent indicated that they knew nothing about it, and that there was nothing on the problem in the overnight logs. The ONLY reason that we selected this hotel this trip was the hot-tub, we were so disappointed we checked out and moved to the hotel across the way. Got better room, better price, better food and a HOT hot-tub.
This property is close to I-25 and US 70 and is fairly easy to find. It is close to Sam's Club gas pumps but there aren't many restaurants within easy walking distance. (Pizzeria Uno is the exception). We stayed two nights and found the place clean, the breakfast basic (egg disks, waffle maker, coffee, etc.) and the property is fine. However, as Marriott regulars, we were surprised by a few things. Leaving aside that we were placed on the third floor when we wanted to be on the first floor, the bed was the worst of any Marriott property anywhere. I'd read other reviews touting the comfort of the beds and conclude that some have been improved, but this room's bed was miserable. The bed was lumpy and left us both sore. It also creaked and any little movement bounced the whole bed. Be aware that the kitchenettes are smallish with little counter-space. The layout of the rooms seemed odd (the TV in the sitting room doesn't face the sitting area) and overfilled. Despite the very cool outdoor December temperatures, the room was like a sauna when we checked in- the thermostats showed 78 degrees. We turned on the air conditioning (which was on the entire time we were in the room) to keep the room from roasting us. Conversely, the shower water took forever (maybe 3-5 minutes) to heat. Overall it is a clean, decent place, but we'll stay elsewhere on future trips to Las Cruces.
Terrible layout with TV on the opposite side of room from Sofa. Not great for watching sports. The main reason to stay in an extended day hotel is the full-size refrigerator and the countertop/sink in the kitchen. Unfortunately this kitchen has very little counter top. One of the smaller kitchens in the first place, and since there's no built in microwave, the microwave is sitting on the counter, it uses most of the countertop area . I got an email from the manager of this hotel the morning I was checking in. She asked if there was anything she could do for me. I responded that I'd like to have a room on the third-floor and far from the elevator. She responded to that that she couldn't do both, but unfortunately I was driving by then and so I ended up being on the second floor. Interestingly the person who checked me and said there had been no one checking out of the third-floor. So I'm not sure how that manager was going to give me a third floor room anyway, unless her staff member was not telling the truth, which I suspect. Definitely got the feeling they were just going through the motions.
Stayed here for a couple of nights, and it is clean, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff is outstanding. Also the beds are really comfortable. Breakfast was more than generous and I would definitely stay here again.
We (a family of 4) stayed at this property. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom unit, which we have never stayed in before. We were very pleased with the 2 bedroom unit. The sofa makes into a couch, both bedrooms were a queen size bed. The Sofa bed mattress was quite thin and could use an upgrade to it. The kitchen area was very nice. The cabinets do have quite a few dings and scraps on them. The bathroom was a very good size. Again, the cabinets do have quite a few dings and scraps on them. T They do offer free WiFi. Easy to connect to. The TV in each room was super nice, and easy to work. The free breakfast in the AM was not very good at all. They offered boiled eggs, which were horrible, and a sausage patty, which I could barely get through to eat. The coffee and basic breakfast amenities were very nice. Just not the 'main' breakfast option. On a weekend this breakfast offering could be a lot better. Off of Telshore drive, quite location. Getting in and out of this location was a bit difficult, with only a stop sign and 2 way traffic.
Stayed only for one night , Adam was great at check in , hotel looks a little bit old but well kept and clean. Breakfast was basic since the hotel is an extended stay property. Internet TV was a plus in this even though TV is a small size.
My wife and I chose to block rooms for our wedding guests and the groomsmen at the Towneplace Suites Las Cruces. We worked directly with Ana, the general manager, and both Ana and her staff truly went above and beyond to make sure our wedding week went as smoothly as possible. Fantastic customer service!
Nice, clean well maintained. The sofa coach is not so comfy. I love the amenities-breakfast ok. I recommend a trip to Cracker Barrel. I like the mobile check in and request we're ready when we arrived. We arrived early in the morning due to flight delays. I was hoping for some discount but there was fresh coffee.
The long-term stay hotel comes equipped with a kitchenette, desk, and comfortable bedding and clean bathroom. Outdoor amenities include a swimming pool with a grill area. Guests are invited to bring their own food and BBQ by the poolside. Plenty of outdoor chairs in a covered area make this quite enjoyable. Breakfast is standard as hotels go these days, with standard pre-made eggs and sausage, yogurt, cereal, and a waffle-maker. Only downside was that I wished the lighting in the room was a bit better.
