We've been to Lanzarote several times and liked the look of Vik Coral Beach. It is set in an ideal spot, next to the sea with your own ' villa'. I highly recommend to go hire a car (suggest AutoReisen - excellent in every way) - all inclusive (the food is what's expected from a 3 *).Staff are very friendly, mainly youngsters and very obliging - well done to all of you and I'm sure we will return.
Absolutely beautiful place , separate little villas , probably one of the best accommodation I've stayed in , a little far out , too far to walk into playa Blanca but a mini bus operated twice a day to take you to beach / center
Overall the holiday was great. The villas are spacious, with great air con and the sea view was fantastic!! However, there were a few issues with this location! 1. On arrival we were advised we had no booking, but was advised to eat some dinner and they would look into it. It appeared we were booked in from the following day! So very efficiently we were trf to another hotel for the night. However, afterwards we realised this had happened to a number of holidaymakers, not a one off!! Prev reviews have also mentioned this. This is a problem that needs to be addressed as this puts a dampener on the holiday!! 2. Housekeeping was not great. No soap in bathroom dispenser, requested it 4 times and gave up in the end!! Toilet rolls also sparce for 4 people!! 3. Sunbeds - were plenty even in August. More umbrellas would be great!! Overall a fab place, food was excellent lots of choice. Just need to resolve these issues especially with the booking to be an excellent location.
Stayed here for 7 nights in the 2 storey villa with its own pool. It was a fantastic stay all the staff tired their best to help at all times and really went out of their way to ensure that you "fee at home". A big thank you to Christian, he's the guy! Would advise to hire a car via the hotel as it more convenient to travel rather than get a taxi / bus as the hotel is around 10 mins from Playa Blanca. Having your own car here is easy as there are only 5 roads and you can't get lost. Once again a big thanks to Christian and the team. Well done.
We arrived back from our holiday here 2 days ago and I can highly recommend it! We had a lovely spacious villa (even with 2 teenagers!) with a sea view which was stunning. The food was lovely every mealtime with plenty of choice, although some of the restaurant staff could be a little miserable looking... The entertainment is OK but could be improved if only they had more space for the team to work in during the evening. With the hotel being away from the main resort the hotel entertainment is crucial for the guests but this was hampered by lack of space, even though the entertainment guy did his best. I understand the hotel are trying to improve this though so it will be interesting to see what happens. The outside bar area could also be improved, there seems to be no focal point for guests to interact with each other and the plastic furniture is not appealing to sit on during the evening hours. I am also unsure what The Hits area actually does, we never saw anyone in it! The chill out zone is stunning but not part of the all inclusive which was disappointing. The wifi was fine but expensive and would have been far better value if it was 25 euros for all devices not just one. The pool area was lovely, so clean with plenty of loungers for everyone, even if you arrived at the pool at lunchtime we still found 4 - very unusual and very welcome! The lifeguards are very attentive to the pool area and constantly kept it clean and safe. My biggest compliment is for Juliana in reception. She was exceptional. On check-out day the hotel was full and a late check-out was impossible. However, I explained to her the medical reasons why we needed facilities available and she moved heaven and earth to ensure we could stay in our room for an extra 3 hours, which was perfect. I know how difficult this was to do so I must give her the highest praise possible. She also did it all with a lovely smile! All in all, we had a fantastic holiday and would go back tomorrow if we could!
This was our third holiday at this hotel. It just seems to get better. We stayed for 10 days early August , a family of 3. Our sea-view villa was fabulous, lots of space with a fantastic view. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, even joining in the karaoke! Olaf, the animation team, was new at the hotel and did a very good job involving guests, adults and children, to join in with the activities. The entertainment was very good. The choice of food was never disappointing and always a good choice whatever time you ate. Sunbeds could be difficult to find, especially if you wanted to be by the pool in the afternoon. Perhaps some additional sunbeds and parasols could be available when all those located by the pool are taken? It is situated out of the main resort, so nice and peaceful, but there are shops within walking distance and it is no problem to get a taxi to the nearest beach. Our 10 day stay was fantastic and we will be returning for our 4th time next year. berti
My overall rating of this property doesn't really do it justice as its more than an average but not really a 'very good'. Having holidayed in Playa Blanca before I was keen to go back but was a little unsure about the location of the VIK Coral Beach as I hadn't really spent much time in this area. We had hired a car for the week which turned out to be a godsend as I think my wife and I and our two teenage children would've felt a bit isolated without one. The site is well maintained, quiet, with some lovely groundwork but our villa in particular was in need of attention, some of the furniture in particular. The television was small (nothing like the publicity photos) and we had recurring problems with the safe necessitating 3 separate visits from a technician. After the third visit we removed our stuff from the safe as we didn't want to get caught out at check-out time. We were told not to use anything electrical in the room where the safe was situated as this could affect the safe, a little difficult when a handheld remote is used to adjust the air-con unit! So, no phones or Kindle in the bedroom. Catering and cleaning staff were lovely, not always the case with reception staff. Again as stated by some other reviews, food was very good with a good range on offer. If the 'all inclusive' option could've been extended to the Chill Out zone this would've been excellent. But this was a feature of this hotel, the all inclusive option fell just short, seemingly to provide a revenue stream. If a day-out was planned a packed lunch would cost you 5 euros per person (this is food you've already paid for). First time I've ever come across this. Not asking for a 'Harrods Picnic Hamper' just the basics on offer at other hotels. So in summary, nice facility, lovely situation, Wi-Fi bit expensive and unreliable. A business that likes the tag of 'all inclusive' but doesn't really try to deliver it.
Just back after 10 days 2 adults, 2 kids aged 13 & 10 and we had a lovely time. The hotel staff are really nice and did everything they could to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We stayed in a sea view villa/appt which was modern clean, and had a private patio with sunbeds and a nice sea view. The clients were mostly English, Irish and Spanish families who all appeared polite nice people who mixed well together, Because there are only about 80 villas/apartments and even in school holidays there is a very relaxed feel around the hotel and no pressure or rush for meals or sunbeds. Food & drinks were plentyfull and of a high quality. Only negative was we like to eat late about 9pm and some of the food was barely warm which I think is down to the hotplates rather than the chef, who was always around for a chat if reqd. If you are looking for bars, clubs, noise, slushies etc or want a 5 star experience I would look elsewhere. But if you want an honest and clean 3 star all inclusive hotel with excellent staff and stunning sunset views then this is your place. We would absolutely recommend the VIK Coral Beach to friends and family, and likely will return ourselves in future.
We thought it was lovey here very quiet, but not too far from town if you want a bit more to see and do. Food was good but unfortunately a couple of the restaurant staff were not very friendly and looked really unhappy. Reception staff very polite and helpful. We requested extra pillows as we only had one each and received them the next day. Entertainment was a bit hit and miss and not much for teenagers but they enjoyed the pool all the same. We would recommend it but maybe next time we would hire a car to see more of the island. Room service came about 4 times during the week and was very good. Wifi was a bit pricey at 25 euros for the week so had 2 teenagers fighting over access as only one could be logged in at one time. All in all we would recommend nice clean and spacious villa. Few mor activities would be welcome and the chill out bar ..shame you can't have your all inclusive drinks here as it was a super spot 👍
We had booked in to go to a different hotel but our circumstances changed and we ended up here. I wasnt looking forward to going if im honest reading some of the reviews. Some of the reviews are totally wrong and unfair. This place is great if you want a quiet relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle. You can get a sunbed any time of the day, with no queues for the food or drink. The evening entertainment wasnt the greatest but they were in the midst of addressing this. With the animation team working well with what they had, they do a great job. Food is good, beer is cold, place is clean and well kept. The only issue i had was that the hotel doesnt have facilities to keep your room on, and no shower facilities for when you check out. We had 7pm flights and had to check out at 11am. They stored our cases but we had nowhere to freshen up. All in all its a great place to stay, the staff are exceptional, friendly, helpful and will do all they can to help you. We enjoyed our holiday here and would recommend it to others.
