I must admit reading the reviews i was wary about my forthcoming holiday with my partner and two children (aged 16), i need not have worried we all had a lovely holiday, the apartments are very clean, food was lovely and varied each day, staff were very friendly and helpful, the area is quite isolated but a taxi to playa blanca was £6 euros. We hired a car for three days and toured the island, which was lovely and scenic. The entertainment guy was fantastic, covering entertainment for all ages. very enjoyable break, thank you.
We stayed at this hotel at the end of June 2017 after only booking the holiday a week before. We arrived in the afternoon after a quick transfer from the airport. Check in was very quick and efficient and we were quickly directed to our villa which was near to the reception. I have never been to Lanzarote before and was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome we received. We purchased some water for our use at reception so that we didn't have to go out to the shops straight away. The villa was nice and clean, with a lounge, kitchenette and two bedrooms and bathroom. Everywhere was very clean and comfortable. There was also a terrace area with table, chairs and sun loungers which was nice to chill out and relax. We had to pay a deposit for the pool towels at reception as well as a deposit and charge for the use of the safe. Also we got the remote for the aircon from reception. Water by the glass was available from the bar/restaurant along with all the other refreshments. The food was quite varied with plenty of choice. The pool looked nice and the grounds and walkways were kept tidy and nice to have a stroll after dinner. There are some shops across some waste ground which are easy to get to and you can get a taxi to playa Blanca for about 6 euros. You can walk to playa Blanca on the promenade but this takes over an hour and across some waste ground which was fine but the person I was with was disabled and the uneven ground was quite tricky. There is also a bus outside the hotel to playa Blanca. One thing to note is that Lanzarote is quite windy and especially so at this end of the island, it was very refreshing. The hotel is quite a bit away from other hotels but to me this is part of the charm. For a 3 star property I could not fault this hotel. It has extremely helpful and friendly staff who will try to assist you with anything. The entertainment guy was quite new I think but he put a lot of effort in to keeping everyone happy (young and old). It would have been nice to have some bottled water in the villa for when we arrived but it was easy enough to buy some. Again well done to the excellent staff
IWe arrived late on 11th June and were warmly greeted, we were given a picnic which contained a sandwich, fruit and water. We had a lovely sea view which I might add we hadn't paid for and it was a bit too far from the main facilities, my husband is partially disabled and on crutches. We had a few other issues as well but the Management plus Christian went the extra mile even putting in an extra grab rail in the bathroom, letting us have the villa until we needed to leave and even paying for a private transfer back to the airport. Overall a nice place but far too remote for someone with walking difficulties. I didn't have a problem walking to the shops over the dirt track but my husband couldn't We did get taxis into Playa Blanca about €6 each way which was reasonable and was a nice change of scenery and food. Talking of food, not great but hey ho it was a three star hotel. Villas very clean but in need of some TLC, towels changed every other day, very good quality sheets every three days. Just one thing to add, a big big thank you to the Managementt, Christian, all the staff and Manwell for your lovely care and attention, you made our holiday. From the Roberts who stayed in Villa 54
We have just come back from a wonderful week staying at the beautiful vik coral beach, it was more then we expected for a all inclusive resort and usually I don't tend to go all inclusive but I must say it was fantastic. The food is brilliant, every night there is something different and lovely being served, some people have not liked the food and they must be mad but there are picky people out there and the team do try to cater to everyone's needs. The location is not ideal if you want to be in the thick of it in terms of bars and restaurants but we loved the location and the scenery is to die for especially watching the sunset from the chill out bar which is not part of the all inclusive but only 6 euro for a cocktail and to watch the sunset is fantastic. It is €6 for a cab into the centre of Playa Blanca for people who want to carry on into the night. The entertainment can be improved I must admit but Siri the activity guy would try and cater to all nationalities but this sometimes cannot be possible with lots of people at the resort. We paid 25 euro for Wi-Fi for the whole 7 day stay and had no problems with it and it worked very well all round the resort although some people did complain which I must say was not deserved. I would recommend coral beach to anyone that's looking to have a relaxing holiday infrot of the sun and yes I will admit it can be very windy but that's not the resort's fault, but it died down for most parts of the day so I'm certain it will not spoil your stay. Thank you VIK Coral Beach for a wonderful stay. P.s you will want a little cardigan or jacket for the evening as it can be chilly with the wind but you will get used to it.
I started here for one week arriving on the 27 June, what can I say! brilliant for people that want to go and completely relax. This complex was very good for me and my partner as he had a broken leg. I was dreading the holiday due to my partners mobility. We arrived to see that it was brilliant for people with their mobility, the complex was all flat and had ramps for wheelchairs to get in and out of reception and restaurant, the food was amazing always a lot to chose from also the alcohol was also good for wine and larger drinkers as it was self serve. The staff was always pleasant, rooms lovely and big, if you want peace and quite then I say go there the walk way along the sea wall was lovely especially in the evening sunset. I would defiantly recommend the coral club beach and I am also booking to go back in October I would say though always take a cardigan or men a long sleeve top as the wind in the night is freezing. Brilliant place to stay for a cheap and relaxing holiday.
We booked a last minute holiday on Thursday morning and flew out late Thursday evening. So did not have sufficient time to really review this Hotel and it's location. Arrived at the hotel at 9.50 quick book in however was told dinner finished at 9 30pm and was provided with a pack lunch. How nice of the staff to provide this. Actually being sarcastic. We got a sandwich which comprised of two slices of bread, a slice of ham and cheese (no butter), a banana, a apple and a small bottle of water each. We complained and was given more ham, cheese, croissants and jam in the restaurant dining area. The nearest shops around were about a ten minute walk through what looked like barren land. The hotel is situated at the end of the Island with very little around. Very windy however it is a small island so not surprising. Whilst there we read the other reviews. And yes the bath filled up as you were showering, nice spacious apartments, with the tv soo small you could not really watch when sitting on the settee. The food was ok but only just. The All inclusive was not really that and was a very poor quality of All inclusive. The wines provided were rubbish, spirits locally produced and ice cream cheap tasting. The hotel grounds very clean. WARNING - THE BEDS ARE ROCK HARD and hurt my lower back. Hotel provides a daily free bus to Town. As said by many the staffs were welcoming, very friendly and helpful and is a credit and complement to the hotel. However this is not enough to make me visit this hotel again.
What do people want? I stayed here last week and had a lovely, relaxing holiday ( except for some of the moaning brits!) This place is in a beautiful setting, the villas are very spacious and clean, the staff are lovely and very accomodating. There is plenty of choice of food at all meal times from chicken, meat, fish, veg, fruit and more- granted there are no burgers and fast food but who wants that when you're in Spain!! Yes, it is quite a way to the town - but the price reflects this compared to accommodation in Playa Blanca, but it's only 6 Euros for a taxi ( which reception staff will gladly book for you) and a free bus every Weds & Sat. If you want a quiet, relaxing holiday, this is the place for you, I would totally recommend it and will definitely be going there again. If you want fast food, loud music, loads to do , I would suggest you head to Benidorm or Magaluf.
Not sure how to start this review but let's go for the positives. I have just read the last 3 negative reviews posted which were when we were there. Weather was very disappointing for middle June lots of cloud and always Windy. First impression of the hotel are good even though stuck out on a limb indeed. I found all staff friendly and the complex very tidy and well kept for a 3 star property. We were lucky with our villa being very close to the pool and the restaurant/bar as we could pop to the bar for a drink and sit on our terrace . Nice walk from our villa to the sea with villas all the way either side. Lots of guests sunbathed or Sat on their terrace so the pool area was always pretty much empty or maybe it was the cloud ?. The Villas were clean and well equiped with 2 bedrooms. No bath plug simply because the boiler does not have the copasity to even fill a quarter of the large bath tub as we found when we asked 3 times and 2 days later for our plug - Don't bother stick with the shower perfectly fine. BIGGEST negative the large bed was lime a Rock which I couldn't sleep in without getting a sore back . My advice ask to see the manager and complain as it was on my last night when I was so outraged at Staff filling their plates in the Restaurant before we had finished eating when most of the decent food had gone. I complained to the manager about this and he did agree I did look very unprofessional !. So it was then I complained about the hard mattress and he said well you should have come to see me before now as I do have a few new mattress so there is my biggest tip Speak up earlier . I wish I had now . Food was basic and repetitive and often run out of more popular dishes as we found because we prefer to eat later . Best tip is go early . You will never be hungry that's for sure just depends on your standards We ate out 3 nights very reasonable indeed just a 10 minute walk across some rough ground where you have a excellent choice of restaurants to choose from plus 2 or 3 supermarkets. Another tip you will need a torch or mobile light to get back !. Overall for what I paid £860 for 2 AI for week it was decent value as a Cheap week away . I would Not pay any more for the Vik Coral that's my honest advice from a seasoned traveller . Oh I forgot no Pool bar you have to troop into the restaurant to get a drink which is very poor. I think I have been very honest about my report so go with a open mind and like I said It is What it is 😊
I visited this hotel in the middle of June, I didn't have high hopes on this hotel as it was a budget holiday and in all honesty wouldn't have chose this place if my girlfriend wasn't a student with limited cash. In all fairness the rooms was nice, but some of the bungalows can be a fair walk away from the pool bar (which by the way, is the only bar in the hotel, it's also self service which understandably for disabled users is quite difficult and thirdly, is no where near the pool. It's actually located inside the restaurant which I find quite bizarre). The maids didn't do an awful lot, some days I questioned if they had even been in to clean our room as sometimes bed sheets wasn't changed in our room. The location of this hotel isn't great either, it's surrounded by wasteland and is a 15 minute walk on rock, rusty metal and glass just to get to the actual footpath that's been built, which then is a further 1hr 30 minutes to the nearest supermarket/beach/bar which we had to make the journey as there wasn't a supermarket on the hotel grounds and one day we went walking up a volcano and got asked for €4 for a bottle of water, and wasn't allowed to fill our own water up at the water cooler. The food was quite naff, I'm your typical 21 year old lad who will stick something in the oven for 30 minutes and eat it regardless of what it tastes or looks like but even I found difficulty eating the same food for dinner, and then the following day for lunch and "snacks"... snacks? More like leftovers for days before. On the last day we was getting picked up by our coach at 6pm to fly home at 9pm which usually is great as it's another day in the sun, well unfortunately we was asked to leave our room at 11am with all our suitcases and bags and to sit outside in the blazing heat in what we was travelling home in. As this is ridiculous we questioned the manager of the hotel (after he stopped hiding in his office pretending he wasn't there) and he said of course we can keep our room on...... for €50, if not we can't have the room and we can 'wash in the pool, or have a shower in the pool side showers' I kid you not... after a lot of stress we finally got promised a curtesy room so we could freshen up before our flight home, so we enjoyed our last day at the beach and went to collect our curtesy room key from the desk, after being very sheepish for a few minutes and speaking Spanish he give us a key for room 49, which believe it or not is the same room we had been staying in for a week and had so much stress over trying to keep it on free of charge to avoid showering in public. I'm not usually picky and I usually read these reviews thinking people are moaning for no reason, but I have downloaded this app and made my first review because I felt like I had to, this hotel is a shambles
I visited this hotel with my boyfriend for a weeks stay the second week of june... I have been to playa blanca many a time and Lanzarote is fantastic however staying in this hotel wasn't. When we arrived late on the Saturday night we were told we could not go to our room as there was a problem with the pipe, we got taken to stay in a deluxe villa for the night which was lovely. The next morning we were moved to our room for the week which was clean and we had a lovely view on our patio. Breakfast was nice every day however the lunch and dinner was horrible most of the time with the same things day in day out and sometimes things from lunch at dinner. I felt unwell and nauseous on quite a few days of the holiday which I think was due to this. Some staff were so friendly and pleasant however one waiter Andrzea was extremely rude to me on one of the lunch services, I was wearing a knee length kaftan dress and he embarrassed me infront of lots of other guests in the middle of the restaurant telling me I was not dressed appropriately! Felt so upset by this as it was unreasonable and did not want to get up to get my lunch. This waiter was also rude to our friends on a separate occassion. Not a lot going on in this hotel and the entertainment at night was diabolical, feels like the hotel has just got no spark and has given up which is unfair on its clients! Some days our room was not even cleaned at all, towels were changed ONCE the whole holiday so we had to use dirty/damp towels. Luckily we did not let this hotel spoil our first holiday together as a couple, we had a fantastic time and will always love Lanzarote! But staying here was the downfall and no way in hell would we ever stay in this hotel again.
