Our last family holiday was 25 years ago. This year the family decided to come together and we chose Langkawi. And we chose Century Langkasuka. After 3 nights, we all had a memorable stay. What made it special was the warm and genuine service from the staff and management. The rooms are very large and spacious, and the swimming pool was divine! Having 2 young infants with us, the kids pool was also great. We enjoyed the fact that the beach was so peaceful and offered stunning Langkawi sunsets. All 10 of us even arranged for a private BBQ on the beach and the hotel team were really helpful in arranging this. We cooked the bBQ ourselves and had a fantastic time. We also liked the location as it was close to the airport. After 25 years, it was refreshing to have a family holiday and we are grateful to Century hotel team for helping us make it a memorable holiday.
I will never book it again! Condition is appalling, dirty corridors, dirty floor, dirty bath room, mouldy condition in the shower cubicle. This hotel should not be given any stars! I was upgraded after complain about the appalling condition of the bath towels, the upgrade room had wonderful clean towels on the first night thereafter it went back to the same condition. The floors are filthy and if walked barefoot on the floor you will have dirt on the sole of your feet!! Bed linen and towels has holes in them!
We were two families and gone to this resort. The concept and setup of the resort is good because I Guess four points by Sheraton made it that way but the management has changed and it’s now Century. The staff isn’t helpful, the rooms have doors/sliding doors which doesn’t work, we don’t get towels in room on time, Breakfast has very limited options, we lost our camera near Swimming pool and the security guys had a callous response(a guest had taken it by mistake and we got it back thankfully) I wouldn’t recommend it for any family going. If u are without family and really want to save money then may be this can work for you.
The worse ever experience. I have travelled around the world, stayed in cheap hotels made of bambú extremely basic and even a ger in the middle of nowhere, I have been in very expensive hotels and average ones, but I have never encounter such a disgusting experience where the room is dirty, toilet has dirt from months, Swimming pool with insects, unfriendly staff ... i can’t even begin to describe how horrible experience I had ... I did check in and 5 min later checked out and the staff didn’t even try to help to understand. They just sent me to contact the travel agent .. I have never posted any review as I don’t believe it is true as anyone can do it.. but they deserve any guest to mention how horrible this hotel is ...
Luckily we only spend one night as transfer in this terrible hotel! After receiving a room with extremely dirty flors, insect eggs and feces on the tables inside, we went to the hotel lobby to complain and ask for another room. However, it was just as dirty and the “kid” in the lobby found it funny laughing with another very young man in charge of the cleaning of the rooms. When I told him, that this is simply not acceptable at a four star hotel, his reply was: “oh, this is only a three star hotel“. I then showed him their official homepage, where it appears as four star and the only comment was, that it was not them taking care of the website. Apart from all this, I must say that the hotel is very worn and this fairly big hotel appears to be kind of a ghost town. How this hotel got four stars is still a mystery to me!
The lift can't be use. It says the lift is under repairing, but it seems like they already close the lift permanently! The breakfast taste 2/5*. The room smell awful, even after they clean up the room. Honestly this is the worst hotel I've ever stay!
I spent the second half of my Langkawi trip at Century Langkasuka Resort. It is a great choice for accommodation when visiting Langkawi. The resort features spacious and comfortable rooms and excellent amenities. It also has a nice location near the airport and just about 10 minutes drive to the city center. Staff of the resort was also all helpful and friendly giving me a more pleasant stay. I stayed in a Comfort Room type, which comes with a separate living area, a kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom and toilet. The room for me actually looks like more of a serviced apartment. It was equipped with all the basic amenities. It also has balconies that offer a breathtaking view of the infinity pool and the sea. Another highlight here is the lovely infinity pool. It’s by the beach offering an awesome sea view. The infinity pool is also an excellent place to cool off and have amazing sunset views.
Missed breakfast at Century Lankawi Resort we asked for tea bags received 2 and if needed extra will be charged .complementary tea bags and coffee 2per room only .front desk manager said he is in charge of desk duties only .We should complain in writing to Century group about the upkeep and cleanliness of hotel .
Been here last week for 2 night stay. As this is very close to airport, I selected this property and that's the major mistake I did. Except for its proximity to airport, there is nothing positive about this property. To start with, the lifts are not working (so either you need to carry the luggage or ask front desk for help!). Rooms are big, but very badly maintained. When I realized that the washbasin is not working, it took 3 reminder and 24 hrs for the manager to fix this!!!. Even the garbage (left outs) are not cleaned for one day which are lying on the corridor!. And WiFi doesn't work. When checked with front office the answer I got is that "due to occupancy in the neighboring rooms, the signal is weak". Interestingly, the hotel nearly 70% empty and I don't know what occupancy the front desk is talking about :-) And the last one is that the beach on the hotel is very very badly maintained and you cannot step into the sand (due to littering of garbage on the shore) Overall, its a very very poorly maintained property and should be avoided.
Its not a very well maintained property. With significant amount of investment, it will be a gem with excellent location and view from the rooms. Poorly trained staffs, dysfunctional and unclean rooms. Will give it a miss.
