Stayed with 24 friends for a weekend, we had no problems. Room and bathroom was clean and comfortable. This hotel is about 20 mins walk from tower. We paid £8 in a taxi from North station, south station nearer. Breakfast had a good selection to choose from, continental to full English, when we were there there was loads to eat and as much tea and coffe as you wanted. Martin and all the bar staff couldn't do enough for you. Nice view over the football pitch while eating breakfast.
Booked this hotel, 24 of us age ranging 15 to 80. Booked standard doubles, family and king executive suites. Met by the friendlydoorman on arrival, he showed me to reception, where I was greeted by two ladies, and they made check in so easy (24 people). All rooms were clean, beds comfortable, tea coffee biscuits, dressing gowns, slippers, everything we needed. Executive suites looked over the stadium pitches. Not one complaint over the 14 rooms we had booked. Went to the bar, met up with our friends, served by Qualid (think that's how you spell it), he looked after us all weekend, just like all the staff, but he was soo happy and relaxed and not one of us had to wait to be served. Bar area was massive and very clean and with an outside balcony with seats and heating. Mark was in charge of the food, brilliant menu and the food was gorgeous and very reasonably priced and we didn't wait long, he went out of his way to cater for everyone, even arranging for cakes etc that weren't on the menu. The breakfast had everything you wanted and the staff made sure the areas were clean a and well stocked up.Thesewere fantastic, and whatever you wanted, they made sure everything was done, without any hassle. Even the night security, especially (sorry I can't spell your name either) began with L, he was so friendly and one of my friends actually pulled the emergency cord in her room, he was there within minutes and seen running along the corridors. He made everyone welcome and he made sure everyone was looked after, friendly guy with a great personality. The location was fab, 15 mins walk to tower, £8 by taxi, quiet area but close to everything. I've been all over the world, stayed in 5* hotel, so wasn't expecting too much from a hotel in Blackpool, (I've stayed from cheap b&b, Hilton in Blackpool), especiallyr being so many of us, but for fantastic staff, fantastic food, cleanliness, and the chilled out atmosphere, I honestly couldn't rate this hotel enough, not one complaint from any of us, would definitely recommend this hotel for couples, families, and big groups. Thank you for making our reunion, that extra special, for helping us to surprise our friend from Australia, for allowing us and you donating a bottle of wine, to raise money from a raffle, for mestholima, a cancer caused by asbestos.
Amazing hotel, very clean and good quality for the price, unfortunatley a particular member of staff ruined our stay. After the concert we were on a high and decided to have another glass of wine before heading to the room for the night. My husband stood at the bar while i used the bathroom, when i returned to the bar, my husband still had not been served and the barman (Anton) we found out later had all his friends in the bar. My husband asked him "are we actually going to get served at some point" to which he replied that my husband had been cheeky to the bar staff and now was put back to last in the que!!!!! We looked at each other in disbelief, as Anton decided to write out a txt message on a womans phone and his sister began to defend us, as my husband said to him that we had paid to stay in the hotel and his behaviour was disgusting to paying guests. He started shouting at his sister saying he didnt want to speak to her or see her again, as she had been causing trouble all night. When my hudband was eventally served 35mins after arriving at the bar, Anton told my husband he was rude!!!! We are so diagusted at the un professional attitude of the barman and if it wasnt for Andy calming us down and not being able to do enough for us, we would have checked out and demanded a refund. We travelled to see ub40 for the first time and we were so excited, that it was borderline that Anton nearly destroyed the whole experience.
Had an overnight here in June 2017 whilst visiting Blackpool on business. Can't fault the hotel at all - comfortable room, great bar (prices and view of the stadium/pitch), staff are friendly/helpful and a good breakfast in the morning. All for £75 on booking.com - really decent price for a good room in a town that in general hasn't got a great selection of "modern" hotels...
We loved it we sat eating breakfast in the restaurant looking at the football ground great view.Great Staff everyone nice and you could have a laugh with them something other hotels have forgot about LAUGHING .
Went for a weekend away with my husband for our 3 year wedding anniversary, the hotel was lovely and clean. We had room 224 which looked straight onto the football pitch which was training the young football kids on Saturday and Sunday which was nice to see. The room was lovely and spacious and the bed was very comfy. The gym opens at 8am and has everything you need for a gym session. Breakfast was a choice of hot or cold and all self serve as most hotels are, very polite staff and good food served. The only downside was the car park area,it was quite small and almost didn't get a spot when we checked in which was only around 5pm,could do with making another are for parking but other than that everything else was great Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again
Hotel clean, reception staff very helpful, fair walk from the front but out of the way which is what we wanted. Only booked this because we couldn't get 2 nights in a row at either of the Premier Inns. Breakfast really is very poor quality food combined with poor service, no tea or coffee offered by staff on both mornings we stayed and no self service option, fried eggs swimming in grease or scrambled eggs swimming in water, poor quality sausage even the kids wouldn't eat. No baked beans left on one morning and not replenished. Bacon is covered in the white residue you get when cooking off cheap bacon with added salted water. Rest is just warm. Ran out of cereal bowls, ran out of apple juice, dirty tables not cleared away, you get the idea. Exactly the same both mornings so it wasn't a "one-off". They would be better off not offering cooked food or any breakfast at all for that matter. It must put people off eating in the restaurant in the evenings, surely! Novelty factor of pitch view from the room saves this hotel from being very average and mediocre which for £150 a night is poor value for Blackpool. Would not recommend unless room only and considerably lower cost in which case it would be fine.
We arrived mid evening after a full day at a swimming gala with another full day in prospect so a restful night was pretty crucial. There was a mix up at Reception which took 45 minutes to resolve and ended up with us being given the key to an occupied room which could have been pretty embarrassing; we were then upgraded but the executive room was not all that special and by this time we were shattered to be honest, especially my 14 year old swimmer. On the plus side the food in the restaurant was good and the service attentive. We retired to bed at 11 but I was woken at about 2am by the hen party on the floor above who proceeded to talk and shout until about 4. As we were to be up at 7am I was praying that my daughter wasn't disturbed; I guess that's just normal for a Saturday in Blackpool. Breakfast was excellent however, so all in all we might return.
We stayed at the Blackpool FC hotel for my fiancee's first trip to Blackpool. We picked the hotel after reading a lot of reviews - what a great decision. The hotel is superb. It's modern, clean and has the brilliant novelty factor of looking straight out across the pitch from your room! It's a brilliant thing to see.
Very smart, loved the trendy decor throughout. Bar and restaurant overlook the pitch. Spacious room, clean and smart, big TV, comfy bed. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Walking distance to the pleasure beach and tram. Walk to the Tower etc wasn't too bad either. very good value for money.
