The WiFi access was gained by giving far to many personal details and agreeing to your every move on line being monitored for research purposes, so not really free as you are providing them with free market research. The staff are lovely here the hotel it's self if well presented, however the bathroom in our room was a disaster. Great view of the Football pitch which if you are into football I think you'd like. The Bathroom extractor fan did not work, the bathroom stank of Damp. Unfortunately the window for what ever reason would not open. Breakfast was Buffet style once you managed to get a table and the waiting staff could not have been more helpful in the hunt for Raspberry yoghurt. The Manager was very responsive and I believe she will make sure it's brought up to standard.
We stayed here for one night on the 2nd November as we wanted to bring our two children (age 5 and 3) to see the illuminations. We telephoned the night before about parking as we wanted to arrive first thing and they kindly changed our check in to 12pm, and when we arrived we were given a pass for the window so we could park and head out. My only issue was the parking within the hotel grounds was not available and we had to park across the road which wasn’t secure but saying that we had no problems. Our executive pitch view room 214 was lovely, clean and tidy and the sofa bed was set up for the kids. I ended up on the sofa bed with my 3 year old and didn’t have the best nights sleep as it really wasn’t comfortable, so i would say not great for older children, yet my husband and 5 year old slept like kings in the king size bed which was incredibly comfortable! The breakfast was amazing, lots of cereal, fresh fruit, toast and cooked breakfast. We sat by the pitch window and the children enjoyed watching the players training. It wasn’t a long walk to the front and we walked to south and central pier easily, and all staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
Stayed here on the 3rd November. We were a party of 11 who all booked seperate rooms ranging from standard town view room which overlooked the main road and travelodge hotel, to family rooms overlooking the pitch from which you could see the top of the tower also. All rooms were clean, spacious and quiet although we could hear our neighbours next door at times. We were celebrating my sons 7th birthday so had arranged with reception weeks in advance that a table could be reserved at breakfast for our party on which they could put balloons on and cake etc. When i went to speak with the management of Rowsley restaurant on arrival as requested i was informed no tables could be reserved for the breakfast as promised by the hotel staff and as i hadnt spoken to him directly there was nothing he could do... After a very lengthy and frank conversation he agreed to put us round the corner in the restaurant with the balloons on as previously agreed. To the management on rowleys, you really should honour what the guests have been promised without the need for a heated discussion.. The blonde girl on the hotel reception was lovely, thankyou for buying the balloons and making the breakfast table look so lovely as it should xxx i must point out that rowleys is a different company to the hotel so the hotel cannot be blamed for the restaurant misgivings. Breakfast i must add was quiet but on multiple occasions we had to request food items which had run out... Ive had better but the view if the pitch whilst dining was a bonus. 15/20 minutes walk north to the tower, 30 minutes opposite direction to walk to pleasure beach. Trams were running day and night and frequent every 10 minutes approx. Lovely chippy round the corner thing it began with c.. Look kn trip advisor it was rated no. 3 or 4, and you can eat in too. We were able to check out if the hotel and leave our cars their until 10pm the same day with no charge. Would return to the hotel if visiting Blackpool again.
Having just returned from a 2 night stay at the Blackpool FC Hotel, We had paid for an executive room, and we were very pleased to find we were looking out on to the football stadium. The room was clean, and was cleaned each day. There was plenty of space in the room, with coffee making facilities. My only problem was with the bed, as it was clearly in need of a new mattress,as one side was a lot lower than the other. Breakfast was very good and plenty of choice. We also ate at the hotel in an evening and the food was very good. Staff very very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Excellent quality for a central location. Staff are very friendly and helpful throughout. Rooms are a decent size with plenty of storage and a decent bathroom although lacking a safe. Exceptionally clean both in the room and in public areas. The bed was very comfortable and super kingsize. Free wifi throughout is a bonus over other "chain" hotels. Easy to find if arriving via car (parking can be limited - but public car parks are nearby) or train (Blackpool South). 1 block from the promenade (St Chad's tram stop) this hotel is easily walkable to South Pier / Pleasure Beach in one direction and Central Pier / Town Centre in the other direction in good weather of course! Use the Blackpool Transport app to get around - so much easier and covers trams and buses. The bar has a good choice of drinks and a pleasant seating area adjoining the restaurant which provided a great cooked breakfast and choice of pastries, cereals, etc. A great place to stay and a great place to unwind and relax after a day out in the sea air.
We stayed on Thursday 2nd of November. Booking 2 rooms, 1 double, 1 family. What a treat, the family room overlooked the pitch and we were lucky enough to watch the team training in the morning. We booked in Rowleys the restaurant for an evening meal and we were also there for breakfast. Each time the service was fantastic and the food also delicious and very reasonably priced. I just wanted to mention the young man in the morning (black shirt and maintained beard) sorry I didn’t get your name. Extremely busy but didn’t fail to get our coffee, water and all the other extras we asked for. Each time with a pleasant smile. Thank you. Would definitely stay here again and definitely recommend.
Stayed in a pitch view room for three nights in the middle of October. Room was fantastic and our four year old loved the view of the pitch. The breakfast was the best we have had in any uk hotel. Only issue was with getting curdled milk for coffee one morning which the staff member who dealt with it was very dismissive. Still won’t stop me giving the hotel 5 stars and we will definitely be back here again.
I loved this hotel, the staff were lovely, the pitch view room was a great touch, all the facilities you need and the food was lovely. They'd provided a travel cot with extra padding as they're never comfortable so we had a happier toddler than we would have had normally. The location was equally excellent, just 2 streets away from the promenade right beside central pier. You might bump into the Blackpool FC players at breakfast and they're really pleasant if you say hello. The reception even organised a giant hellium balloon for a small price as a surprise for my partner. My only issue with the hotel was the beds, my lord they were rock hard - it was a 2 night stay and I've just came home absolutely shattered from my rubbish sleep and my shoulder is really aching. Such a shame because it will stop me returning, never have I had such a bad night sleep in a hotel including a 2* dump in lloret de mar!! With the exception of the bed, we had a great time, very well attended to and a must visit for football fans!
I booked this hotel as a special treat for my 11 year old boys birthday. I could have booked a hotel for half the price on the sea front but decided to book a pitch side executive family room. It is currently 12:15am and all we can hear from our room is thudding loud music coming for a function room within the building. I would not call this hotel an ideal family hotel, we have had a lovely busy day in Blackpool and were hoping to come back to the room for some rest!
Thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay in this hotel. Kids loved the stadium view from the room, adults loved the massive comfy bed and modern bathroom. Bar area very nice with reasonably priced drinks( unusual for a nice hotel). Only slight criticism would be that the breakfast service needs a bit of fine tuning.
