This is a nice hotel with lots of restaurants and shopping near. Since we went for a spring training game (Tigers vs. Cardinals), it would have been nice to see a little more team advertising ("Welcome Tiger fans", etc.) since several of the guests the nights when we stayed were there for games. It was also a little strange that they put out a sign advertising free beer and wine the day before the event actually took place so people were down in the lobby at the time it said it would start only to be told "sorry, that's not until tomorrow". Needed to make the day/date a little more obvious or don't put the sign out until the actual day, very confusing.

The place is pretty new, clean and has a fitness center and a good continental breakfast. The only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars: 1) It would have been nice to have a fan in the fitness center to turn on when utilizing the treadmill (they also have ellipticals and free weights). 2) We stayed for 9 nights. The first 6 days, I left the towels hanging to re-use as part of their protect the planet program. Each of those 6 days our towels were replaced with new ones. The day between our last 2 night, I had put all of our used towels in the floor so that we could get new ones. Got back in that evening and discovered that housekeeping had not tended to our room at all that day (towels still in floor, bed unmade, etc.) The front desk did bring us clean towels. It would also be nice if there was only one nightly rate when you are there for that length of time instead of it changing every single night.

Visiting my parents for one night and needed a place to stay. I’m an IHG member and picked this location. The hotel itself is a very nice property. Clean and very comfortable. The lady that checked me in (Corina?) was very nice and attentive. My only complaint was that a large group that checked in late made a lot of noise in the halls. I called the front desk and the noise subsided shortly. Only to fire back up at 11:30-12:00 long after I was sleep - well I wasn’t asleep anymore. Found out the next day it was a college group. The hotel can’t stop people from making noise but with the high rates charged here they should be able to better communicate expectations to large groups. Overall the property is very nice but the price is too much to have my sleep interrupted.

I ended up here after my reservation at another hotel was lost - and I am glad that I did. The rooms were spacious and clean. Very modern. The beds were some of the most comfortable I had slept in. The room had nice furnishings and a Keurig which I loved. The breakfast in the morning was top of the line. There is a restaurant just across the parking lot - several options close by. I will absolutely make this my go-to hotel in the future!

Looking for a cheap stopover room for New Year’s Eve away from Orlando this was the perfect choice. Clean, quiet and all a friendly welcome and only half hr from Disney great if you want to avoid the inflated prices of busy periods.

This is a very nice hotel with comfortable beds. The breakfast had a good selection. My only complaint is when I went to check in. It had a sign saying that they were away. I tried calling the number. No answer. Finally someone walked out and checked us in. Also later that evening my husband went back to get more towels because they didn’t put enough in the room. The sign was back up and a guy came out of a room and looked like he had been sleeping. I have NEVER seen this! But overall would stay here again.

This is a beautiful little hotel in the common areas. The lobby, swimming pool, breakfast room, etc. are much nicer than you'd expect for a 2.5 star accommodation. We were pleased that the hotel is 100% non-smoking. Check-in New Years Eve was smooth, and the desk clerk was especially helpful in recommending restaurants with specific style menus. This hotel is convenient to downtown restaurants and activities, located one minute from the Hwy 570 ramp. Cheddar's is adjacent to the parking lot, and Ruby Tuesday is a quarter mile. Amenities here are above average. I was surprised to find a well stocked mini-market in the lobby. I was more surprised at the reasonable prices - $2 for an ice cream bar. You can buy chips, popcorn, snacks, etc, or you can buy microwaveable entrees. The market has a mini-pharmacy, with headache, cold, allergy meds, laundry detergent, bug spray, etc. The outdoor pool area is lovely, with a wooden shade cabana. This is the first ever hotel I've visited that had a pool lift to accommodate guests with disabilities. (And we've stayed at more than 200 hotels worldwide.) The pool is open until 9:00 pm. The fitness room isn't large, but it's better equipped than most hotels of this caliber. The business room adjacent to the lobby has a couple of computers for guest use. This hotel even has a guest laundry room. The complimentary breakfast was far above and beyond the norm. Hubby and I typically can't eat comped hotel breakfasts because we won't eat low quality packaged or processed commercial junk food. However this Holiday Inn Express does not serve junk. Standard fare is egg white omelets, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, fresh fruit, multi-grain bread, turkey sausage, etc. Only ONE other hotel we stayed at offered this quality in a complimentary breakfast. We couldn't believe the turkey sausage and multi-grain bread - a spectacular surprise for guests who don't eat pork or white bread. My only complaint with breakfast is that they stop serving at 9:30 a.m. Most hotels serve until 10:00, and sometimes later on weekends. Our room was mostly good. We usually reserve a king, but we chose a double queen because we were bringing a lot of miscellaneous for a New Years Eve party and wanted a second bed in lieu of a large luggage table. Two beds made the room feel cramped, of course, especially with an extra chair squeezed between one of the beds and the exterior wall. The room was very well furnished, including a full length mirror (which I consider a necessity), a safe, a small desk and dresser, flat screen, mini-refridge and microwave. We LOVED the Keurig coffee maker, another rarity in mid-range accommodations. Amenities included an iron and board, plenty of hangers, lots of electrical outlets for charging electronics, excellent lighting, desk phone, radio alarm, lots of hooks for hanging clothes, ice bucket, hair dryer. The bathroom had the largest shower I've ever seen in a hotel, but I did not like the lack of bathtub. One of my favorite hotel activities is a lengthy soak in the tub. I also didn't like the quirky water temperature fluctuations. When showering, the water varied from lukewarm to very hot. Towels were above average and plentiful. Counter space was adequate for accommodating our personal care items. Toiletries included White Citrus shampoo, conditioner and lotion. The hotel provides bar soap, but I prefer body wash so always bring my own. The large mirror and excellent lighting made for ease and accuracy in applying make-up. Complimentary wi-fi was a disappointment. We had to request an additional 15-20 minutes past 11:00 a.m. for checking out because my phone was taking forever to download an update via the hotel's wi-fi. I also used my laptop briefly, but quit when my New Years Eve photos and videos wouldn't download in a timely manner. Sleep quality is always excellent in IHG brand hotels. We love the choice of pillows with varying firmness. Beds are always divine, and black-out blinds facilitate sleeping late. Housekeeping heeded our "do not disturb" request. We heard no hallway noise from our room. Everything was spotless clean, both in the room and the common areas. We had no problem finding a parking space upon arrival at various times during the day and night. Other than the slow wi-fi and lack of bathtub, this was a wonderful hotel.

This is a very new, clean and beautifully appointed hotel. The outside is well lit and set back from the road behind Cheddars Restaurant. The staff is efficient and welcoming. As you step off the elevator, the lighting in the hallway is bright and cheery as you walk to your room. And oh the rooms! Its large and has many interesting and convenient additions. Large bench fits two open suitcases and there are large hooks above to hang your backpack, purse, coat, etc, along with a regular closet. The bathrooms have excellent lighting and a beautiful glassed in shower instead of a tub. A unique little feature is that outside the bathroom is a full length mirror next to a little corner shelf that has electrical outlets. You can blow dry your hair out there (dryer provided) or plug in your electronics. The beds are high and comfy with bright overhead lights and side lights for perfect reading conditions! There is also a work desk and a great coffee table in front of the couch that lifts up to an additional work desk. The rooms are also equipped with microwave and refrigerator. And now, they also have a HEATED outdoor pool that was just wonderful even though we were there on a chilly pancakes and mini Cinnabons for breakfast. Wonderful hotel that we will definitely return to.

Sorry to give this fresh new hotel such a bad review as the accommodations were very nice. The trouble was with charges to my credit card used at check in after I returned home and checked my credit card statement. Since there was no mention of any charges at checkout, I called the hotel to find out what the charges were for and I was told to call back later. The second call was answered by Brittany who said that I bought things at their kiosk and that the charges would stay. When I asked to speak to the manager she said to go ahead and dispute the charges with my credit card company, which I immediately did. The manager, Sally Riviera, called me back and said she refunded the charges weeks ago and that she would try again. Even if the money does eventually get refunded it won't change my review as this was a lot of wasted time and shame since I otherwise enjoyed the stay.
