Amazing lake house on the perfect cove!

Beautifully remodeled home with an ideal setup for two families of four. The cove is the perfect location for swimming, kayaking, fishing, and paddle boarding with littles (3-7), and only a quick 3 min kayak ride from the main lake with stunning views of the lake/mountains. We all wish we could have stayed longer than 3 nights! Renee is a great host and was so easy to communicate with. We will 100% be back to stay again!

Gorgeous House with Perfect Amenities

This house is gorgeous. We had 6 adults and 2 children for this family vacation. The property offered a lot of valuable amenities - two story deck equipped with cozy furniture, enough seating to enjoy your own space while chatting about plans, a lovely fire feature with very comfortable chairs to finish an evening with a serene view of the calm waters of Lake Lure made The top of our list. We also appreciated the kitchen utility and the well-stocked spices and seasonings. The dock and sun-deck were a place we found practical for rounding out our days on the water. The views of the lake were a bit lacking, but a quick paddle board ride down the cove opened to the breath-taking scapes that bring us back to Lake Lure year after year. This place is VERY close to the grocery store and Lake House restaurant. The owners were attentive and easy to communicate with. They shared a lot of good information about accessing property and things to do. The most convenient experience we have had on Lake Lure has always been when a boat is available on property - this property did not offer that experience.

Exceeded Expectations!

Three generations of my family stayed in this beautiful cabin for a week at the end of Summer. My kids could have stayed in the lake swimming off the dock all day. We did drag them into Chimney Rock to explore a bit, and we wall enjoyed our time there too. The house was extremely well-appointed and had so many cozy spots to enjoy the view and a snack or beverage. Even a few afternoon thunderstorms didn't dampen the mood. We will look forward to our next trip!

Excellent Lake Lure Retreat

We had an amazing tine vacationing at Lake Lure. This property was outstanding. It was extremely comfortable and the hosts went above and beyond for what 5hey provided. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfect!

Can't overstate how wonderful our experience was with this house! It was the perfect place to stay for our kids/grandkids. Super clean and every detail was so well thought out. From good spices in the kitchen to aloe lotion in the bathroom...there is absolutely nothing we were in need of. I am also obsessed with the coffee cups 😄. So many wonderful memories made both on the lake and in the house. I hope we have the opportunity to return at some point in the future.

Grandparent’s Trip with 4 grandchildren

Beautiful home with many recent renovations. Great attention to detail. Loved all the well placed hooks, hangers, storage etc. Lots of little extras made us feel welcome. We wanted to be on the lake and very close to Chimney Rock. This was the perfect location. This property is tucked up in a small cove. It does not offer a wide open lake view if that is what you are looking for. However, the view from the house is lovely. We made use of the kayaks and paddle boards, caught fish off the dock, and spent a lot of time playing in the water. The bedrooms are on the small side but host has made great use of space available. Husband and I slept in main floor bedroom. The mattress was firm and linens were good quality making for a great night’s sleep. Didn’t feel like there was a true master bedroom in this house. Host was very responsive to questions. Even had their service come by to give us a couple more life jackets. Decks were larger than anticipated and well equipped with seating, tables etc. We would highly recommend Garner Cove. Note: this property is about two houses beyond Pawley’s Place.

Family Fun Time

The house interior and exterior were gorgeous with recent renovations. The decor was lovely and the views were spectacular. The host provided everything we needed with paper products and a well-stocked kitchen. The host was quick to respond if we had questions. The lake access, dock, and kayaks were lots of fun for the whole family.

Very nice property but not suited for elderly

The home is beautiful and my kids absolutely loved the game room. Renee was accommodating and responsive during our stay. The only negative I would say is that the home is not suited for older people due to the extreme slope of the property. There is a bedroom on the main floor where my parents were able to stay, but the bathroom was very tiny. My dad has mobility issues and really struggled to get dressed in it. The rest of us were very comfortable in our rooms. The location is convenient to shopping and trails. I wish we could visit again with our kids during the summer.

Awesome family getaway!

We loved this retreat on Lake Lure. We celebrated my paretns' 50th wedding anniversary with three generations together. We enjoyed the fire pit, kayaks, paddleboard, and game room. Also great walks around the neighborhood and the nearby local trails. Plenty of space, wonderful decor, and stocked kitchen were a plus!

Another Great Fall Family Mt Trip

Soooo appreciate the attention to details—toiletries, spices, blankets, books, pillows , & medicine cabinet!! Love location — near Burntshirt & Stepps, La Strata, & Riverside Stables! Value availability of 4 kayaks & 2 paddle boards (with life jackets). Appreciate various comfortable seated areas on dock, by fire pit, on porches, by herb garden!

Great spot

We enjoyed our 2nd stay at this location. It is in a quiet cove. Our family enjoyed being down at the lake, kayaking and fishing. The fire pit was wonderful for our fall evenings. My teenagers also enjoyed the pool table and game system. It is close to Chimney Rock where there is lots to do.

Family retreat

This is our third family vacation at Lake Lure bringing together 8 family members and we enjoyed our stay immensely. Our teen cousins enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards and fishermen in the group enjoyed the dock as well. We love the scenery and even though you seem in the mist of nature away from the hustle you are minutes from grocery stores and hiking ad tubing.

Beautiful location; great house

What a wonderful location and property! The house is well-appointed and comfortable. It’s located in a quiet cove with direct access to the lake, beautiful scenery, and within striking distance to local points of interest. The screened-in porch felt like our own private tree house overlooking the dock below, and, aside from the lake, was one of our favorite parts of the house. I highly recommend visiting the Lured Market/Grill for a meal (yummy food-sweet potato w/cinnamon tater tots!), trivia, or other small necessities. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the thoughtfulness of the hosts!

Wonderful property on gorgeous lake

The house is beautiful and wonderfully appointed. Located in a small cove makes it feel very private and safe. Plenty of stuff for both indoor and outdoor activities. It rained most of the week but we still had plenty of opportunity for kayaking, and played pool and Pac-Man when we weren’t on the water.

Everything was really great

Everything was really great, the property is in a convenient and beautiful location and the host included lots of little touches to make sure you had everything you needed. We were there to boulder at Rumbling Bald and we were a short drive to the park and the downtown area. For those in our group who were not climbing they loved having access to the kayaks and getting out on the lake. The room set up was great for a group of friends. Our only complaint was the showers were a little finicky- the water pressure was low and the shower head downstairs kept flipping over on us. Other than that I couldn’t say enough great things about this stay.

Perfect Long Fall Weekend Get-Away!

Arrived at peak of fall color! Began with lunch at the Lake House Restaurant on the water! Loved having the ability to spread out on 3 floors to sleep & then come together when we chose! Enjoyed Karaoke & Pac-Man 1st night, dinner at nearby LaStrata 2nd night, & warm chili with s’mores by the fire pit the last night! Appreciated proximity to usual family traditions: picking apples at Stepps, wine tasting at Burntshirt, zip lining, shopping in Chimney Rock; also enjoyed kayaking, birding, & fishing right there in the cove. House is well stocked—from live “pick your own” herbs, wide variety of spices, etc. for cooking, candles, blankets, games— to complete medicine cabinet! Plenty of indoor & outdoor seating for ALL! Four kayaks & 2 paddle boards sealed the deal for us! After renting for close to 10 years, we now have a new fall family favorite rental!❤️

Two Families with College Aged Kids

This is a wonderful rental for enjoying the lake life with friends and family! We were two families with college aged kids that have traveled together for 15 years. The place was perfect for spreading out and the lake front area so peaceful and enjoyable. We paddle boarded, kayaked, swam, floated, read books, and relaxed. Indoors, the guys competed for the highest Pac Man scores and all of us enjoyed the karaoke machine. The kitchen was well stocked, and the owners had thought of everything that we might need! Beach towels, lots of hooks, blankets for curling up on the couches. It was all good. We did explore Chimney Rock and ate at a couple of restaurants (the ice cream store near the old hotel is wonderful!), but mostly we hung out!

Perfect Summer Get-A-Way

My family had a wonderful vacation! The setting was perfect- right on the lake in a quiet cove. Just beautiful! We enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, swimming, and relaxing. The home was spacious and comfortable, and the game room was a big hit too!

Excellent place!

We had a great time! The adults loved the kayaks and the kids loved the paddle boards. There is a nice grassy area for the kids to play on and we loved the firepit. Very clean and a well stocked kitchen.
