Reserved two rooms a single and a double. The double was fine but the single was closer to being a 'darkroom' than a bedroom. Not much could be developed in there. The staff were pleasant and the breakfast was food for us and kept us going till midday Overall the hotel was fine, clean and as I said.... a place to put one's head down.

We stayed 4 nights at this hotel in two rooms. It is only 10 mins walk (with luggage) from train station, 7 mins walk to the Cathedral (centre of town) 5 mins to the ferry pier, 2 mins walk to the water and the fantastic walking paths that hug the lake, & there is a supermarket across the street. The staff printed train tickets for us, got us tickets to the funicular (steep train to Brunate) so we didn't have to line up, and were engaging and friendly with the kids. The rooms are small but there are mini fridges in the room, desk, cupboard and a comfortable bed what else do you need. Would love to return

We visited Como for a long weekend, and not willing to drive, we chose this hotel as its very close to the city centre and the harbour. It proved a good choice! The hotel is some 15 min walk from the main rail station (depending on how heavy your suitcases are :), and later we found out that it's even closer to the other Como rail station (which I'm not sure what line is on). It's very close to the small park and the boats harbour, as well as to the city's centre with all the shops and restaurants. There is a large Carefour about 3 minutes walking away, which is very handy. The staff at the reception was very friendly and quick to check us in. We requested a quiet room (the hotel is on a main road), and we were given such room. Since the hotel is very compact, we could still see the main road but don't get me wrong - the main road in Como is not Regent street and with the good double glazed windows we had a very good, quiet sleep. The room we were in is not huge but given that we only stayed there to sleep, we were really OK with that. The decor is fresh and modern and the whole place is very clean. The bathroom is also new, very good size and spotless! It has a shower cabin and a bidet. The breakfast is average for the category of the hotel. The food was fresh and tasty, with good choice and the salon is of good size so it was never crowded. The only thing I didn't like was the juice - it was rather the instant type of drink than a proper juice. However there was a good selection of fruits and fruit salads. There is a small lounge beyond the reception which is beautifully decorated and offers a good space for chilling out. Thanks for the available umbrellas - we did need them one evening :) Overall the hotel offers a great value for money and I would recommend it to everyone looking for a good place in good location.

We had a one night stay in Como. The hotel is good, the rooms were nice and clean but quite small. The location is good too - a short walk from the city center. Breakfast was good, but didn't offer much variety.

Older hotel in less than desirable area. Had I been traveling solo, I would not have stayed. Everything about the hotel felt as if it needed freshening up - from pillows to paint. Fairly easy walk to train station and nice breakfast. Otherwise, not much to offer.

We enjoyed our stay. No real complaints, room is a little small, but we expected that from the reviews. Staff is friendly, hotel is clean, breakfast is good enough to get your day going. Location is close to the train station, we walked to the hotel when we arrived.

We didn't have time to book a hotel for Como and went searching even we got there. This hotel popped into view and we were very happily greeted by staff on our arrival. We booked room 105 which unfortunately was right next to a housekeepers area and was noisy early in the morning. Otherwise it was a great experience. The rooms were clean, black out shades were helpful on the windows and the mini fridge was nice. There is a supermarket less than a block away which helped stock some drinks. The city center is a 10 min walk as is the train station which made this location very convenient.

We stayed here for two nights as part of a one month European tour and this hotel was by far the most expensive of any hotel we stayed in despite staying in central Rome, London, Geneva and Amsterdam on the same trip. I understand that Como and the Lake Como region are popular and we stayed during peak season, however I feel that we were taken advantage of here. There must better options for the same price, or alternative hotels charging the same price but offering more. The room was reasonably small with the third person on a fold out coach (made up as a bed). It did contain a safe and a small fridge (that was not overly cold). Breakfast was included in the room rate and was a moderate offering of cold continental items as well as some fruit and cereals. The fruit juice appears to be a cordial or similar dilute mixture rather than actual juice. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the centre of town and cruise terminal and about 3 minutes walk from a supermarket (same road towards the centre of town). On arrival and at departure time, there was no assistance from any employees to get luggage up the 8 or so stairs at the entrance (despite two people we were travelling with being older than 75 and two children being under 12). The employees behind the desk seems content just to watch. To cap it all off, the receptionist on the desk when we left forgot to order the two taxis requested by phone 30 minutes earlier, indicated that she did not have time to help me as "she had other things to do as well", and would only print four of the eight boarding passes that were emailed to her. Not a pleasant departure experience after and average stay. Consider / review other options if available.

Good sized room. Very clean. Very good options for breakfast. Staff very helpful. There is a Carefour supermarket close to it. Room had a mini-bar in which you could keep drinks or small food items. About 25 min walk to get to the city center.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was clean, nicely decorated and with excellent amenities. Breakfast was good and staff attentive. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. It is situated on a busy road and can be noisy but good quality windows help to alleviate this. It is in an excellent position for all places in Como. Although it has no outside area there is a park nearby(and a good supermarket)
