Another excellent stay

Amazing property that we look forward to visiting every year. Works well for a three-generation family stay. The upstairs bathroom situation is a bit cramped with one shower and toilet for 2 bedrooms and the kids bunk beds, but with a little patience and the availability of the half bath just down the stairs it works.Hope to be back again!

Wonderful Stay!

This is our second year coming to Lake City and this was once again a wonderful vacation with friends and family. This house was PERFECT for our group: we had ourselves and another family stay here and it worked perfectly with plenty of room for all of us. The house itself was well stocked and in the most perfect location. We had access to the creek, firepit, the walking/biking bridge and trails and so easy to just walk into town. Highly recommend staying here! We loved it so much I asked to stay an additional night and it was the easiest thing to do. Will stay here again!

Enjoy the atmosphere

Property was perfectly situated near the river and apparantly on the travel route for local game. House was furnished c with everything we needed. Made smores in the backyard fire pit. One of the local deer even joined.

Amazing property

Beautiful "cabin" close to everything in Lake City. Lovely listening to the river out the windows, being able to walk downtown in moments, across the bridge and onto the nature trails in seconds, and all of the homey touches inside like nice quilts and beautiful furnishings really make you never want to leave. Upstairs bedrooms both have sinks in them which was nice, but do note the two bedrooms and the bunk beds upstairs just share one bathroom. So if that could be an issue for your group just note that. We made it work with no problem for both sets of grandparents and three of us. Look forward to going back!

Beautiful Home on The River

This was our second stay to this property in the last three years- the home is well furnished and a short walk to town. There were three couples in our group and we each had our own room with a sink- the two couples upstairs had to share toilet/batch facilities so it was a bit crowded at times- could probably use another full bath just for privacy. There is no AC in this home, but the weather was cool the week we were in town (8.14 through 8.20) so we just opened the windows and were all comfortable. Great location for those who are looking to ride trails on ATVs- quick access to everything you need.

An amazing week in Lake City!

What a wonderful week! We loved our stay at Ritz on the River and in Lake City. We used to live in Denver but never made it to this part of the state. Wow! We have found our new favorite mountain town and can’t wait to come back. The cabin was beautiful and very well stocked. Our whole family (ages 2-62!) enjoyed it and we had plenty of space for everyone. Loved the walkability to downtown and the large outdoor space to relax next to the river. Highly recommend this place for a wonderful vacation!

Ritz on the River

This is the second time we have stayed in this house. We all enjoyed our stay so much! We enjoyed the river being so close, the fire pit, and the bridge to a walking trail. It was nice that we could walk to town to shop or get ice cream. There was plenty of room for the eight of us We would highly recommend this lovely home for your stay in LC.

Let’s Climb a mountain!

We stayed in this lovely log cabin when we traveled to Lake City to climb Handies Peak. We absolutely loved staying in Bennet Cabin. We enjoyed cooking our meals in the well appointed kitchen and enjoyed the family centered common areas. The location was perfect. We walked into town for dinner and light shopping. We loved being located right on the river. We would love to come stay again!

Most wonderful place

The moment we walked in, we experienced peaceful relaxing setting. It is a top quality setting and everything about it was first class. They thought of everything to provide you a quality experience. I highly recommend this place, and it is appropriately priced.

Lake City Relaxation

Great, well equipped 3 bedroom cabin in perfect location. Enjoy the alpine loop, hikes, deer lake, and many other sites. We’ve stayed here numerous times and will be back. Special place.

Pure joy!

This property was everything we could have asked for and more! So much room to spread out. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you could imagine you would need to prepare meals. There were seven of us and there was plenty of plates and silverware to go around. The views this home has is incredible. We loved sitting out back by the river enjoying our morning coffee. We will absolutely be back! Thank you so much for sharing this gem with us.

Lake City Cabin - a piece of heaven

My family has stayed at this cabin 3 times. A lovely, quiet, comfortable and convenient cabin. Spacious kitchen, close to downtown and backs to the river! A piece of paradise.

Awesome Cabin and Location

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin and our time spent in the back yard out by the river. It was so peaceful and relaxing. A moose came down the street! Also several deer came by to visit and crossed the bridge instead of the river. We got a kick out of that. We loved the town of Lake City. We did a lot of ATV riding while we were there. It is a beautiful area! We will definitely be returning. Our only complaint is we wish we could have stayed longer!

Very Nice property, Well supplied kitchen, lots of room in the house with location right on the river. Would definitely stay here again. only thing we run into is a small hot water heater in house for 8 people. With a little bit of managing it still worked well.

River Mountain Home

We had such a great family vacation at this beautiful home. Lots of room for our large family & super comfortable! Everything you could possibly need is readily available. The views are amazing, access to town is superb, & the deer come right to the back porch. Campfire & gazebo by the river are great for s'mores or a glass of wine. Tannah was fabulous about getting us into the house after hours. We will be back for sure. Thank you letting us enjoy this fabulous home!

Super roomy, fantastic cabin in town on river

This is a fantastic cabin. It has three bedrooms on the river a short couple minute walk from the shops and restaurants of Lake City. We watched numerous deer in the back yard every day. It you want to eat in, you have everything you could ever need to cook your food. Lots of games, and cable tv. This place has it all. You won’t be disappointed. Great people to work with all around.

We felt perfectly at home, and we’ll be back!

My family has been coming to Lake City since 1981 and we’ve stayed in probably 12 different properties over the course of those years—and this was BY FAR our favorite. It’s a quick and non-challenging walk to all parts of Lake City. We loved having the river in our back yard (and the back porch was heavenly!) Inside, we very comfortably slept my husband and me, my parents, and five teenagers. Never once did we feel like we were on top of each other or crowded—we probably could’ve squeezed in one or two more people. The kitchen is well appointed, appliances are great—it definitely felt like we were in someone’s much-loved home, not a vacation rental. We’d come back and stay here again in a heartbeat. (One recommendation: If you stay here—and you definitely should—bring a fan for every bedroom or ask for some at the property management office if you come in the summer. Even with windows open the upstairs was quite warm in the evening, especially in the loft.) One of our best vacations ever!
