Only down item is room thermostat could not be set below 21 which is warm for our sleeping.

Friendly staff, nice view, comfy beds, not very close to the city center, but we.had.rental and its 10min.away with the car.

Very nice, comfortable hotel close to airport and easy to get to City Center using the Metro.

This hotel offered everything we needed for a first time trip to Barcelona. The staff speaks English, they are very welcoming and available any time you need them. The hotel itself is beautiful. Rooms are a bit small but again very beautiful. There was a bit of a musky smell in the room at first but once we turned on the air condition that resolved. The breakfast buffet had an amazing selection but if you like different stuff everyday don't include the breakfast in your room price. You can add breakfast buffet anytime on any day at the hotel. Across the street is the mall with a food court. There is also a McDonalds across the street. The subway is a 5 minute walk and the staff will help you navigate this. Taxi cabs are just outside the hotel. Housekeeping kept the room clean and fresh everyday. Room service staff/ restaurant staff can do with some customer service training. By subway it is 15-20 mins from La Rambla. Taxi may take 30 mins depending on the time of day and can be expensive. Take the subway. I will definitely stay at this hotel again. It is about a 25 min taxi ride from the airport to the hotel and cost about 25.00. If you are adventurous you can take the subway straight from the airport to the hotel. Before my trip I emailed the hotel with questions about getting there and they responded in a day or 2.

Excellent stay. Wonderful free breakfast. Would stay here again.

Quiet & easy access to Metro - Awesome staff, including lounge/bar staff!

I choose this hotel because of free WIFI and pass other hotel with free breakfast. I went 20 times to lobby and reporting poor wifi , crow did the best they can do but nothing done! They gave me portable modem still same problem. I have another reservation 1 night but 20 rooms(for spring 2017) for cruise , I will cancel whole thing and will reserve different hotel. Hotel with 5 star shouldn't have a WIFI like this . I will report this to HOTELS.COM also and fight to get my $.

Porta Fira hotel is a newly constructed modern building, located just outside Barcelona near the mobile convention center.

Easy check in and check out. Taxi service readily available. English spoken. Clean and well stocked rooms.

Before stepping through the circular doors of the lobby, I noticed a fragrance wafting through the doors - the hotel smelled welcoming. The staff could teach customer service, they politely and warmly checked me into my 18th floor room. Stepping in was a "wow" moment. Luxurious looking bed, tile floors, and a floor to ceiling window with a view of Barcelona. Loved it. The bathroom was unique. There are three doors to shut the bathroom off from the room, the WC from the sink area (in the middle) and the shower from the sink area. A swanky, white swivel chair beckoned me to a dark wood desk, but the double bed had me at first sight. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable with a stunning view. I loved Porto Fira.

loved everything. i enjoyed it very much. the hotel was clean and nice. new, the rooms had nice amenities. nice shower, bed, etc.

Hotel Porta Fira is just as beautiful as its pictures, and the service is top-notch. The rooms are extremely clean, modern, and comfortable. It was also incredibly quiet, so I barely even needed to use my ear plugs. Everyone who worked there was incredibly friendly and helpful, as well. There were only a couple of downsides. First was the location it's outside of the city center so it takes about 20 minutes to get to one of the major metro stops. There's a train station a couple of minutes away, though, that you can take into city center and get on the metro lines from there. The other downside was that the hair dryers that come with the hotel turn off if they get too hot, which meant I had to take 5 minute breaks while blowing my hair out. A minor quibble, but just a teensy bit inconvenient. Overall, it's a great hotel and I loved staying there during my trip!

The service was courteous, quick, helpful, and professional. I felt welcomed and cared about. The room was clean, comfortable, elegant, modern, and spacious. This is a beautiful hotel very close to a Metro station, airport bus stop, grocery store, and shopping mall. I would highly recommend this hotel to any traveler.

Great looking hotel but very far from the center of the city. The bus ride only will take you at least 30 minutes. Big shopping mall is a few blocks away. The hotel room was comfy but the awkward bathroom set up i did not enjoy...lets just say it lacks privacy. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. They should provide a shuttle automatically without one having to call them days in advance.

VERY NICE HOTEL LOCATED NEAR A WONDERFUL MALL NOT FAR FROM AIRPORT

Interesting contemporary hotel. Great food. Only suggestion is coffee availability early in the morning in the lobby.

Very nice hotel, quite, peacefull, well located.

Sightsee in Barcelona. Hotel was visible from our incoming route to Barcelona; it is 22 stories high and red. This was a great hotel and experience in comfort. I strongly recommend this hotel.

This hotel was great. The bed was extremely comfortable. The location isnt great since its technically not in Barcelona, its on the outskirts in the convention center part of town. Its closer to the airport than most hotels but definitely a good 10-15 minutes away from the city. Its a beautifully designed hotel on the exterior and interior, and it was the first hotel I had stayed at in Barcelona that had exceptional and really well thought out interior design. The color palette of the room was a little cold, but the fact that the shower was roomy and the bed was comfy made up for it.
