Normally i would give a 5 star for this hotel i stayed twice, but it's a rainy day, and the front desk asked me to walk to the front street for a taxi....i'm a bit disappoined. Just think that he wouldnt really help to call a taxi for the guest with luggages. A note to self, allow extra time for the unexpected, like weather and traffic. Luckily, i took the subway and made it to my airport train few minutes prior.

Splendid! I did not expect much from the reviews but it was the cleanest, no odor, quiet, nicer and straight forward hotel I've booked. Also, cheapest! Accessible to subways, buses, walks, few good restaurants around, and close to nishiki market. The room was small as most Japan hotels but very solo traveler friendly!

Pro: room was good size for one pax, booked a double room for single. Bathroom was spacious enough as you won’t bump into things like moving from sink to bathroom. The table in the room is wide for your makeup and food and charging. There were two ports on desk, (1 was used by kettle), beside there are two. A alarm clock for your use. Room window can be opened for circulation. Zero mould, toilet no mould or mildew. Shower shampoo conditioner and hand wash provided smells really good too. You can get toothbrush, bath scrub towel, coffee tea stirrer, room slippers from 1st floor. Bedsheet was comfortable and clean. However their pillow is some material, they claim it’s supposed to help you sleep better and can be moulded to your shape but I found it abit hard. I asked for an additional pillow in my booking but didn’t get it. No smoking room very good. Don’t hear any noise during my stay. Super quiet. The tv allows you to sign in to prime Netflix and etc or you can cast, super nice. Room temperature can be adjusted it’s a single unit airconditoner and a air purifier/ humidifier in the room if you need it. Con: luggage space may be limited. I sent my big luggage to Osaka and came here with a small luggage so I think cabin size ok anything larger you’ll have a problem, or get a bigger room. Not con but if you are picky: the table has signs of age but it’s a good table. The wall is in a cream color and some parts have signs of abrasions with luggages. Very very minor.

Situated on a quiet street off the main road so noise was a minimum. Close to Karasuma station. Half an hour’s walk from Gion or you can take the bus conveniently. Half an hour walk from Kyoto station as well! Great hotel!!! Restaurants and shopping all around!
