Tranquil stay in Kyoto

Absolutely stunning place in a quiet neighborhood of Kyoto. The all black finish was very moody and unique, although maybe too dark at night, especially when you’re fumbling for the switches. The stone shower room and large bath were amazing, and sleeping in the tatami room with a garden view was sublime. The location is nice and quiet with neighborhood eateries and cafes within walking distance, but slightly far from the metro, so we opted for Uber (which was very affordable) to get around Kyoto. Overall, will definitely be using Machiya Inns for my next stay in Kyoto!
