Hotel is modern and located right at a subway stop (4 stops or 7 minutes to Kyoto train Station). Walking distance to Imperial Palace and the gardens. Quick taxi or subway rides to other sites. We had a courtyard facing room which was very quiet. There are blackout drapes so the room stays dark in the morning. Room is modern with a nice shower and fairly comfortable beds. They provide umbrellas in the lobby that can be borrowed for rain days.

The room and the overall property was fine however the breakfast was not up to the mark. Buffet had very few options specially in the bread section with limited options for vegetarian folks. Also the service during breakfast was lagging such that milk/juices were not refilled on time, toaster were shut off well ahead of time, during check-in breakfast time was stated as 10:30 A.M. but when we reached they mentioned it will be closed by 10:15 A.M, Nespresso machine did not had milk refilled and even the washer/dryer were not clean from inside.
