Kure Beach 2024

We enjoyed our stay. The condo was very nice and the facilities were great. Would recommend to anyone wanting a nice relaxing vacation.

Great place at Kure Beach

We had a family of 8 including my wife and me, our son and his wife and four children. The outdoor and indoor pools were a real hit with the kids, and the short distance to the ocean made it very easy to come and go with the kids! A great place for a family!

Great stay!

Very happy with our stay! Excellent for families. It feels tucked away from the busyness of Carolina Beach but close enough (a short drive) to still enjoy the restaurants and boardwalk. This location is nearby the NC aquarium, which was a great afternoon trip for the family. We thought about taking the ferry over to Southport but never got around to it. Overall, a relaxing getaway with some easy fun built into it.

Fantastic trip

We loved the Ocean Dunes neighborhood. Very quiet and family oriented. Our condo was clean and well equipped. We would definitely stay there again. Pool was very close to our unit and the beach was a very short walk across the street. This was our first time vacationing in that area and we loved it.

Perfect for the grandkids

This condo/apartment was perfect for our family. We had 2 three yr olds and my 85 yrs young mother. There was plenty of room. I was thankful there was an elevator for my Mom and for bringing luggage up to the apartment. The bedding was comfortable plenty of dishes and cooking supplies. It was so nice to be able to walk across to the beach or swim in the two pools on site. The kids loved the new play area, it was clean and away from traffic so we could really relax and let them play.I would definitely recommend Ocean Dunes and the apartment.

I will be back!

This condo is in a perfect location, a short walk across the road to the public beach access and even closer to the pool in the complex. Checkin was so quick and easy - appreciated when you’re anxious to get your vacation started. Everything about the accommodations were great - a few more essentials ( basic spices, dish soap, dishwasher pods, for example) would have made it perfect. I think the best thing I can say about this condo is that I want to come back again. I loved it!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It would have been appreciated if we were warned ahead of time that the adjoining units from the fourth floor to the ground floor were being demoed and renovated during our stay. The work crew started banging at 8am. So not a relaxing time to sleep in.

Spring break

We enjoyed the location of the property and the pool at the recreation center, which was larger than expected. The Southport Ferry, Civil War Museum, and aquarium were conveniently close. We had 4 teens and 4 adults, so we cooked most nights and found the kitchen to be sorely lacking in pans, including half of a cookie sheet and no large pot (for pasta). The can opener needs to be replaced. It was nice to have a crock pot. The driver kept popping open, and since we had one towel per person (brought our own beach towels) we had difficulty drying the towels and had to do them one at a time. Overall, it was a fun trip, and we were comfortable.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I enjoyed the stay but I didn't particularly like have a camera watching my comings and goings (only property with camera at the door). Master bathroom shower faucet did not work properly, would not turn on or once it did, it wouldn't turn OFF. Some nights, we had to take a shower in the other bathroom.

Just what we needed

This property was perfect for our active family. Across the street from the beach. Also access to a recreational center with the indoor pool workout center basketball and shuffleboard. This property also has an outdoor pool. Even though This property was perfect for our family. Across the street from the beach. Even though it was April my nine year old son was in all three bodies of water. The property was perfect. We have enough beds and bath and space for five. We would definitely say again.

Easy Beachy Getaway

We had a really nice time on our visit! Check in was smooth and the condo was 100% as described! It's very clean and comfortable enough for our family of 4. The rooms are a bit small, so I wouldn't do more than 5-6 people here even though it could sleep more technically. For what we paid (this was a very affordable option), we felt like the value was right. As is written in other reviews, beach access is across the street, but not too bad. There were rinse off stations both at the beach access and near the pool, which was helpful (a lot of other beach access spots up and down the road did not have this). We didn't love the immediately accessible beach however - rather finding it pretty rocky and small. We decided to find other public beach access spots that were larger with softer sand for the majority of our stay. We spent some time at the outdoor pool (which couldn't be any closer to the condo) and the indoor pool, a short walk. We found both to be clean and comfortable. Other visitors in and around the complex were respectful and kind.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very displeased we arrived to a condo fit for 8 and had 1 shower as the masters was broken and there’s no way it was cleaned as it wasn’t allowing water to be ran. Should have been reported by housekeeping/maintenance and fixed prior to arrival. It wasn’t fun sharing one shower especially after everyone went to the beach and wanted to clean up. Further from stores than we thought we would be but still good descent location. Pool really isn’t small child friendly but not advertised as so either. We left a day early.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: From check-in to check-out, this rental was wonderful! The condo is very nicely updated, comfortable, and very clean. It has a “little home” away from home feel for the entire family. The back deck is peaceful, there are TVs in every room, small games for the kids, and the kitchen is very well equipped. We specifically enjoyed the air fryer and the Keurig coffee maker. The condo is very cozy with well-organized bedrooms to accommodate 8 guests comfortably. The kids loved the bunkbeds. You can’t beat the location. The condo is located on the first level (good size carport right below) within steps of the outdoor pool, recreation center with indoor pool and hot tub, and a quick walk to the beach. Check-in was smooth and Bryant was friendly and very easy to communicate with. We also enjoyed walking to Fort Fisher park and the aquarium was a short drive away. Unfortunately, we had to leave our stay early due to Hurricane Ian. We will be back next year!
