We stayed here for four nights August of this year (2017). The rooms were very clean and nice, good air conditioning and Wifi was good. The rooms were very inexpensive. The breakfast was quite expensive relative to what you can get out in the city. The buffet is HUGE but it was way more than the average person needs. They also charged us for a hand towel when one had a little coffee stain on it. Overall it was a good place to stay, very reasonable, and centrally located.
This hotel was the best please I stay in China. The habitation very good. The people that assist me very kind. And the food at good level. Have a good place to work in a comfortable place with good view of the city. It’s location in the center of Kunming is very useful to go everywhere.
Wonderful Staff Their front desk staff is remarkable outstanding. They provided wonderful services and caring about the customers’ need and feel. I must take this chance to thank you for their heartful services and care. Transportation to / from airport It is 5 minutes walk from the airport bus terminal (approximately RMB25 per person), taxi to/from air-port is around RMB90. Both is a reasonable price. Hotel and its Location it is right next to a Public Park, the neighborhood is quite . The hotel itself is in a reasonable standard. However, it is far away from the city centre and doesn’t have much interesting point / restaurants nearby. As I only stay one night for my transit flight and have no complaint on the location at all. The hotel is overall ok and acceptable (in western standard) Air-conditioning Despite I saw quite a lot of adverse comment on the poor air-conditioning on various hotel in Kunming, I don’t have any issue here.
Located steps from Green Lake and within walking distance of great restaurant, shops and sites, I was thoroughly impressed with the Grand Park Kunming. Excellent breakfast and great room service. The room was spacious, clean and offered nice city views. Would highly recommend.
This was one of the best hotels we stayed in in China. It's easy to get into town, the beds are really comfortable and the breakfast buffet is superb. We were only here for one night but would happily have stayed on for longer.
We stayed here twice, once in May and then again in June. On the second stay we were booked in for three weeks but checked out after three nights. The reason why? The hotel's central air conditioning could not cool the room, it could only blow air (warm at that). Other areas that showed the hotel's age included the gym (very basic equipment only, no air conditioning), pool terrace furniture (three chairs ripped after sitting down on them) and dated kitchenette in the suite (broken kitchenette doors / browned cooking surfaces). A basic design flaw means that the pool only gets sun between 1200-1500 when the sun is mostly overhead. Hotel management were courteous but not very helpful. On telling them about the air conditioning, we were offered a fan but this did nothing to cool the room. When we asked if we could keep our two cats in the room (we were in the process of moving to Kunming) we were eventually told yes, but would have to pay double the rate. A different hotel let us keep them at no extra cost. The food was perfectly decent, though nothing to rave about. On some mornings the coffee was instant, on others it was from a machine. A positive note was that we were able to order room service to the pool terrace. The club sandwich and Caesar salad were both fine, though again nothing to write home about. This hotel's biggest advantage is it's location. It is a 5 minute walk from Green Lake and a 5 minute bike ride (or 15 minute walk) from some very nice cafes like Salvador's. We ate out a lot. I would only recommend this place for travellers who want to be close to the centre of town, especially Green Lake, and who don't plan on spending a lot of time in the hotel. Staying in cooler months would avoid the air conditioning problem. For those who want a more comprehensive hotel experience there are plenty of other, better hotels in the city. We would not stay here again.
Had stayed for 3 times at this hotel. The location is really good !!!!! We went to restaurant for dinner and the food is yummy. Also, the staff know that I had a birthday , they give us a comp birthday cake. Must come back next time !!!
