The hotel is just opposite the river and you can also go for sightseeing by using the river cruise. It is also nearby to the place where you can have seafood with affordable price ( UTC ). The hotel staff were friendly and it was easy communicating with them. All of them can converse in English and it will not be a problem for tourist to communicate. Stepping out of hotel, you can walk around for local food or others.

If you do not work during your Hotel Stay here, you might rate it a 4. But their WiFi is terrible, so I will never stay again. (0.48MB DOWN , 0.43Up, yuck. This was bad 3 years ago. Today, totally unacceptable) Rooms a very spacious and clean if a bit old. Breakfast area was good with reasonable food and selection. But last time in Kuching (March 2017) I stayed across the stree at Imperial Riverbank. Smallish, CLEAN, Modern room with GREAT WiFi. ( over 10MB down & up) Next time I will save $10/night and go back to the Imperial.

A big thank you to Riverside Majestic for making our family's stay so pleasant and memorable. We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children. Our stay was for a total of 9 days, broken up into a stay of 5 days and then a stay of 4 days. There are many positive things I can say about this hotel, by far the biggest one would be its staff. They provided outstanding service to us for our entire stay. For most of our stay, we had 2 inter-connecting rooms with great views. The rooms were large, clean, very comfortable. The hotel is in a prime and central location, right across the street from the riverfront, and within walking distance to lots of restaurants, stores, etc. There is a good sized pool and fitness center on the 4th floor, both with great views. We had a rental car, the hotel provides complimentary parking in the covered parking lot next door. Breakfast at the hotel was an amazing spread, with a large variety of local dishes, western dishes, made to order omelettes, salads, a whole spread of breads and cakes, etc. It was a real feast for our family every morning! In addition to all this, their front desk and lobby staff were very friendly and so helpful. Every morning when we were leaving, and again in the evening when we came back, we'd stop and have a conversation with the lobby staff, they would ask about our day, etc. Both times that we checked in, they offered to put an extra bed in one of our rooms, at no charge. A really nice touch that made sleeping arrangements easier. When we were leaving for 3 days, they offered to store some of our luggage at no charge. The day we were going to Bako for our day trip, we asked the lobby staff where we could buy extra bottled water. One of them took our bag, and came back with it full of water bottles! And to top it all, for 4 days of our stay the front desk staff gave us an unsolicited upgrade to an amazing suite on the top floor of the hotel! The suite is simply stunning, like something from a hollywood movie. Our family will never forget our stay there. The upgrade could have been because they didn't have connecting rooms available, but it shows that the staff went above and beyond expectations to make our stay comfortable. Thank you.

This is not my first visit but by far the worst experience. Day 1 Dusty room : stayed with my colleague, she caught a flu and sore throat within minutes of being in the room as it was so dusty...called housekeeping to clean it up but to no avail. Leaky sink : maintainance staff wasn't pleased that there was a complain about the room...he clearly showed it verbally. Day 2 Power trip : In the midst of my shower. There was a blackout in the room. No power - no lights and no hot water. What more can I say. Now I caught a flu. Problem was resolved swiftly by the duty manager. Gave us a new room instantly and breakfast at the Executive lounge. Sad to say that this really didn't fix the problem as I had 2 more nights to stay there with a flu. Hotel is in need of some extra attention as the little things count for the guest mainly the rooms not so much the door man and concierge who are excellent in their job. Unhappy guest.

this hotel is in a great location. great waterviews and close to all the prime tourist activities. the room was spotless and large but I do think they are close to needing some upgrades. the main feature of the hotel is the front desk service. they really go out of there way to be helpful. in my case they even had their IT technician call me and help me with a laptop problem I was having. pretty amazing.

the room that they first gave us had a moldy smell which gave my sister terrible headache so we were upgraded to a suite on the 10th flr bu the manager mr chong.. it was far better, bigger, good view of the waterfront. the staff in riverside really give very good service

Superb 5 STAR! It was a great stay in Riverside Majestic. They provide all for their guest. Excellent Service. Easy to walk everywhere. Because this hotel is near with the town and can go to the shopping complex and cultural activity is going on nearby. we can go by walking distance. The facilities of the hotel were great. I am enjoyed during my business trip to Kuching and find a good place to stay.

During the stay, i was pleasantly surprised with its in house gift, personally delivered to your door, not only once but twice during my stay, the first one was the Laksa Paste and on the second day was the famous Tebaloi biscuit, along with it was also some kind of book mark...superb 5 STAR... what makes my stay unique was also the presence of volume knob in the bathroom, i can read my morning paper while doing my business in the bathroom and at the same time i wont miss out the 7am national news on TV1...The stay was perfect for my business trip, staying in a comfortable room and locality was brilliant. Room rate was value for money. Hotel is surrounded by places you want to go, McD, shopping complexes, cinema, seafood center called TOP SPOT...River view was great...waking up in the room just wanna make u call the hotel your second home.

We had two different stays in one week (we visited the Bako National Park in between). During our first stay we got upgraded to a business suite which was really spacious. But also the standard rooms are perfectly fine. Some things may be a bit outdated but overall is was very good. We could store our bags for the night we were at Bako for no fee. The concierge arranged a good and cheap driver to bring us to Bako, Semmengoh and Matang Wildlife Center, and to the airport. Breakfast buffet offers plenty of choice. Swimming pool is nice and the hotel provides towels. The hotel is close to the waterfront and provides nice views.

I can't complain for this location. A walk over will be some really fabulous eats at the seafood themed food court. The Kuching monument is just outside. Breakfast here is very good. From the room a view of the river.
