Its a great place to stay as its in the very heart of KL, its quite economical, good restaurant, wifi and friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay, even though the day time was quite hectic going around and seeing the places but at night it was really cosy and comfortable. The rooms were quite big and spacious. Since its in the heart of KL I would strongly recommend this hotel to all those who are coming to KL for the first time and also because its not that expensive. Its easy to reach from the other attractions and even if you wish to explore the area on foot you can do so as its easy to come back.
The positive: The location was excellent, in the centre with restaurants, shops, markets and malls all around within walking distance. The breakfast buffet was ample and tasty. The view from the room was superb - we were on 28th floor. The negative: 1 small room, small beds - ideal for very short guests. 2 pool: roofed over, open only on one side so no sun. 3 no pool towels, no chairs, only two sunloungers - not particularly welcoming or relaxing. 4 receptionist would not believe we were entitled to a complimentary late check-out. I had to show the confirmation email from booking.com. 5 staff were indifferent and made us feel we were causing them work. The few questions I asked were dismissed with a negative answer. A general attitude problem. 6 when we ordered ice from room service, they asked what for and said in a moralising tone that they hoped it was not to mix with alcohol. It is a dry hotel.
Room was big and extremely clean. Even though this hotel is quite old but well maintained. Housekeeping staff(sorry cant remember her name-lady wearing glasses) very helpfull and friendly. Have to wait almost 20 minutes for the evelator. TV channel not clear and wifi too slow.
Stay with my family for 2 night. Room very clean and spacious. Very nice and friendly staff especially Desk staff and also Housekeeper. Good location as many shopping complex nearby. Free bus to city centre and Bukit Bintang. Overall good hotel to stay and definitely will be my family first choice hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
Location is good .Near to Lulu Hypermart and lot of Indian restaurants. Rooms are smaller than usual.Breakfast is not included in booking by default . Value for money and nice option for short business stay
You would be happy once you arrived at the property and saw the modern lobby, but once you get to the front desk counter, you will instinctively know that this is not a place you can bring yourself, and your loved ones here. Starting with the service of the front office, not only staff who never know “smile”, they will treat you as if you were a homeless begging for a place to sleep. You will see the chinese-look, ignorant and chin-up manager greet you by offering you- are- unwanted-smile to you. checking in will takes forever. On your right hand is an over-claimed famous restaurant named in French , but offers nothing close to French food neither western foods (only simple chicken chop and low quality meat) the rest will be chinese and Malay food. Worse than that you will sometimes be greeted with cockroaches and the tomboy, skinny and unfriendly staff who will reject everything you request. Above-mentioned is just the beginning of your horror haunted hotel. Go further to the 8th floor will be a gym furnished with last century machines, roaring air-conditioners , most of the time , they are not functioning, and broken and unattended treadmills , plus , dirty restrooms which sometimes become a smoking area for a maintenance staff who are lazy to go down the building to have their cancer stick. Going down from the level 8 gym, there is a swimming pool with disgusting surrounding, dark, dirty and worse. The bright blue pictures of the swimming pool you saw were taken years agon, now nothing close to what pictures have shown. Going to the guest room, painted in pink colour with cheap smelly and reek paint. The hallway is dark, the room is styled as old cheap apartment. What I mentioned is the fact, if you are coming to Kuala Lumpur, try visit and prove to yourself if what I have written was just a tiny part of all horror and dirty hotel called Silka hotel. It is unbearable. Strongly recommend to stay away, nothing is right here. Sum up: - unfriendly staff - dirty restaurant with unfriendly staff + disgusting place and food. - too-old-to fix elevators - horrible gym facilities - dirt swimming pool - mysterious guest room in a very dark hall way. - ignorant management However, GM may reply this review in a nice way that they want to investigate the case, He doesn’t need to because the horrible is obvious. I am here to reveal the truth about the places . Trust or not it depends on your consideration.
The hotel is at strategic location near Masjid India. Clean and sufficient facilities for business traveler as it comes with writing desk, iron and safe. The room is long but narrow to walk around the bed. Otherwise, it is fine for short stay.It was nice to have KL tower view from the room.
My last accommodation at the end of my holiday where I enjoyed staying at so many well run hotels but this hotel in KL is definitely my favourite one. Great location as it’s near so many foodie places, markets, shops and even the Petronas Towers is 20 min walking distance. The hotel itself has very clean rooms and friendly staff, gym and swimming pool. They also offer an option to rent a room on long term as there are a lot of residents living in this hotel. So that should tell you something,.. The only thing I didn’t like was the breakfast as it wasn’t substantial enough and they should offer more fruit on their menu.
Depending on what type of shopaholic you are, this is also a hotel thats located conveniently close to Jalan Masjid India, Sogo, Jakel mall, Semua House and many more. The LULU hypermarket is just across the road, so basically everything is all around you are when staying here. The train station at Dang Wangi is only 10 min walking, same as to the Jalan Masjid train station. Love this place
Lobby are bit cramped last time, maybe I came on wrong time. Room was so outdated.. wish for management do something about it. Coz lots of new hotel growing up.. and offer far more better experience..
