This is an affordable hotel at a great location. It was previously known as Hotel Radius. It is quite old and in need for an update, but still better choice than other budget hotels in that area. I had premier room on 17th floor and was quite satisfied with what I got for my money. Please note that the parking is not free for hotel guests any longer
I was there in July 2017. The hotel is located in tourist based zone, called bukit bintaang. The streets in front of the hotel are full of bars and massage parlours. One can enjoy nightlife very nicely.
deluxe room - mattress is thin..carpet is dirty ..room dimly lighted ..old box tv with limited channel..bathroom no floor towel..shower curtain too short ...aircon vent very dirty towel given is yellowish in color .. stayed many times but this recent stay its very dissapointed ..room is very old will never stay here again even though location is superb near BTBINTANG MRT .. they seriously need to upgrade the room ...
this hotel tucked inside Changkat KL and for party goers..yeah..this is place to be..bars, pubs just outside this hotel my first impression of this hotel is..emmm ok, after reading a review from others contributors, I can say I can agree somehow, this hotel got a fantastic location..food, bars, shopping and whatever you guys want, but like I said..for a party goers..yes this is the place anf for a family, I am not that sure..this hotel really really really need a 'solid makeup' all in all I can say not that bad experience and absolute me and my buddy, enjoy our staying here..thank you Hotel Soleil hope you'll can impress me next time 😉
We are a group of women who had booked to stay for 2 nites. Smell of damp hit us when we walked in. 2 of our group went to look at rooms and said they were disgusting - dirty and stained bedding, carpets etc. We had to go and find somewhere nearby at the last minute. Street is right in the heart of everything but VERY NOISY at nite!
It's contradictory that I stayed multiple times in Soleil and again writing cons. It's cos I love the location and would like to get back to this hotel but I assume hotel management is stubborn not to allow loyal guests. From the time of check in nothing went well except my room n it's view. I took a suite room having 180' city view with large window. The escalator wasn't working. We had to carry luggage by our own and the securities downstairs didn come ahead to assist. The lift has become older and scary at times. Like earlier, the bathroom amenities and fittings all were very poor. The towel was dirty with clear marks. The breakfast as usual is very poor. Didnot even bother to take breakfast as they are continuing same menu what I have seen in 2014. This is unfortunate how a good hotel in one of the best location in KL is surviving only on cutting price. Without making it a low budget hotels you can improve hotel qualities and services and ask more price. Guests like us who take this hotel for location doesnot mind paying high.
On 14 October 2017, I stayed at Hotel Soleil, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for 1 night in room 1131. The accommodation was unsatisfactory in the following ways;- the receptionist was not friendly, the hotel and the rooms was run-down, the phone in the room is nonfunctional and the room that I was staying in was invested with bed bugs and unhygienic. This sanitation issue was not obvious to me when I checked in, as these bugs are not easily visible to the naked eye. However, at around 5am, (15 October), my friend woke up as he notice that he was feeling uncomfortable and he immediately woke up to check and noticed that he was covered with bites. After which, we checked the bed and realized that the room was overflowing with these bed bugs. We immediately informed the receptionist on duty that there is bed bugs in our room and showed the bites on the arms and fingers. Also, we had taken pictures and video of the bed bugs that was on our bed. We asked to be moved to another room and was given a another room 1632 which is on the Premier floor. The staff was not apologetic at all and above that we had to carry our own bags to the other room, no help was offered to us. The website and booking sites has stated that the rooms are comfortable, but it is not. It has cause so much inconvenienced to us during our stay here.
Hotel is centrally located, right in KUL most happening area. All major attraction in walking distance, lot of bars and eatery around. Hotel could be much better, they are renovating it so guest visiting in future might have pleasant surprise. bathrooms and fitting need urgent face lift.
The wifi only works on some floors and then only temporarily. Minimal hot water. Free breakfast ??? What breakfast? The tiles on the bathroom falling off. The smell of the rooms sticks to your clothes. The location is perfect However you can get hotels on the same street for much less for the same standard OR the same price for a much higher standard.
It was terrible experince in this hotel with my friends. We saw photos before booking and seems good location but it s not same like photos. Very dirty room, bad service. It s like abandoned hotel, many rooms empty and broken doors.. It was dissapointed
