Actual was not what it's been shown. It's deceiving. Escalators not allowed to use, no one assist for luggage. Room was very rundown, they do not provide floor mat, hand towels. No shower amenities in the room. No safe in room, TV was from 70s and signal was very bad. Door was not installed with double lock only latch. Feeling of insecurity! Got bitten by some insects. Not worth a stay at all, early departure and asked for refund, then I was told they can do free upgrade. Offer declined. DO NOT BOOK OR STAY IN THIS HORRIBLE PROPERTY!

I went here with my son and stayed for 5 days. Service wise, i got nothing to complain. Staff are helpful tho not that professional. But the hotel itself is like a horror hotel. U wont even know that it’s hotel soleil since u wont see any name on d building itself. The building from the outside looks like an abandoned place. U go thru the main door and u will see a dark entrance like as if they didnt able to pay the electricty bills. Elevators are not working (tho someone will help u carry ur luggage, THANK GOD!). I even thought they have special event thats why the elevators has this kind of swan like decorations made with towels. I booked a deluxe room which is around 1000hkd (price is not bad for 5 days, THANK GOD again!), they asked me if i want non-smoking or smoking room i said NON SMOKING. We went to our room and as soon as i opened d door, BOOM!! Felt like someone just puffed a cigarette 5 seconds ago! Didnt wanna go back down to complain and change our room since we were too tired and im sure they will give the same type of room! Carpet is very very dirty. TV is very old! Shower bath tub is leaking. Wardrobe has no light. Even pillow covers smells like it wasnt washed properly. The only advantage of this hotel is the location. Other than that, A BIG NO NO again! Never coming back. PLEASE READ THE CAPSLOCK WORDS-DONT EVER GO HERE!!!!

I have reviewed this place favorably in the past. The new owners, the Soleil Company, have ruined it and I expect it to close any day. If you do book here, DON'T pay in advance because the place may be shuttered when you arrive. When Soleil took over 2 years ago they posted signs in the elevators apologizing for the construction work in the lobby etc being undertaken to improve the place. Two years later they were taking the signs down, having done NO improvements. On the contrary, they have 1) unplugged the cable TV, leaving only local channels in Malay on your TV, 2) removed all the phones 3) turned off the escalators leaving guests with 24 STEPS to go up and down every time you leave the hotel - I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP!!! 4) taken all the doors off the closets for some reason, 5) limited guests to one clean towel per day, even in the top rooms, and 6) keep their room prices the same as always. The staff are lovely people, but they are worried for their jobs. The hotel used to be pretty full all the time. Now its mostly empty. NO renovation is being done, and little maintenance. This is a great location but there are lots of other hotels nearby - keep looking!

Look by online booking seem like normal hotel acceptable and good location based on pictures. But when you arrive to see the reality, the hotel so old about 18year(staff said). The hotel and hotel’s room are like abandon stupa for dead body to keep inside. Inside room, room is so narrow, and no amenities, and so dirty, and so strong smelly of smoke, and windows mirrors are a lot of stained on it and wall of room a lot of cracked plus with same finger and food prints on wall. About bathroom is so so bad water leaking everywhere out of room. Corridor and elevators are same smelly of smoke, carpet so old, wall so old. Over all is like abandoned stupa. Please do not stay at there you will be get suffering, and bad impression about trip too. I think this hotel should destroy and rebuild a gain with modernization because it is in the city center. As the weakness please see the pictures below. I can post some pictures only.

Do not go there. I booked 8 nights in this hotel while staying for my visa, paid 209€ for a non-smoking room/king bed (as on the good pictures) and ended up in a dirty/dark/smoking room, I’m sure the cheapest hostel would have offer better comfort. I had then to pay extra 100€ to get an upgrade which is better of course than the latter but still not worth 309€ + 80 ringgit taxes on arrival. The sheets have stains, they do not vacuum, WiFi is weak... well I strongly advise you go somewhere else. Also the room are very noisy (bad isolation)

I was in my favorite hotel again this December and January.If you ask me why I stay here in spite of the bad image. Only one reason - Location.This time it took 3 hours after check-in time to get a room. most of the room do not have room phone.So to get house-keeping or other service, you have to run down to reception to pass the message. Both escalators stopped working.One of the worst breakfast. For omelette you have to pay extra. Only one floor renovated. Still 200 rooms are closed. most front line staff are hired without proper hospitality training. The room i stayed had shower curtain shorter than the tub. so I had to go get a long curtain and fixed it. Room service is all hired cheap labor. Hardly any bellboys on duty. Bell captain does all the hard work of carrying the bags on the steps as the escalators don't work. be cautioned - No bath mats, hygiene taps will get tangled on your legs, no doors on wardrobes, a/c water leaks in most rooms. Exorbitant charges for each additional hour after check-out time.Such a lovely hotel ( earlier Radius Hotel ) each year is getting worse. Mismanagement, lack of professionalism, ignorance, cheap labor, lack of appreciation to dedicated long time staff, understaffed, quality going bad is all to blame. Yet, only reason that keeps this place alive is LOCATION. My final review of this hotel- 'WAKE UP SOLIEL HOTEL before you become a Sleezy joint'.

went to meet my parents who were staying there on holiday..the entrance is ok but you have to climb some steep stairs to get to the reception and this is an issue with people who have medical issues. The room.my parents stayed in was large and nice.

I have been reading almost all. I have also survey at google regarding Hotel Soleil. From the website, the picture of the room looks good , clean, well maintained.. haha.. After reading almost all of these reviews, i am lucky i didnt pick this hotel. Phew~ Guess i have to search for a better hotel and make sure to read the reviews first before booking. HI there, I have been staying here during the holiday period over the past 10 years. During then it was all right till this trips. Separately I have booked 1 day apart as I also visited Genting. First day check in on 22/12/2017 I was told to pay extra for my wifi access in the room which I have already choose the room that comes with the service and yet ask to pay RM50. It was ridiculous and after all the Indian staff took initiative to give me an upgraded room without further question. Back on my 2nd stay on 24/12/2017, the front desk lady staff told me the same thing and refuse to hear me and rejected my request. She spoke to the duty manager by the name of IVY, which went out for lunch and I have waited for her to return and she just didn't even bother to come to me and explained and went back to have her lunch I believe. Being a manager she just let her staff to dealt with me. This is unacceptable to me where she can made the call. she said the website has made a mistake and is nothing to do with them. I will not go back to this Hotel anymore just because of your manager is the one who spoiled the reputation. I would like to compliment the Male Indian staff ( didn't catch his name ) that has given me the right attitude during my stay and I also learn that he has just join the front desk recently. Lastly I would like the management of Soleil to send this lady duty manager for courses and learn from the newly join Indian Staff on how to handle any unforeseen cases. Additional inform to improve your room on #17-06, aircon system unable to control temperature at all. As of #13-09 bathtub base crack, shower control lever faulty unable to switch between top shower or tap and washing sink choke.

I stayed in this hotel with the impression of good photos and location wise but we are very disappointed as the service were very bad. Room without hot water and internet. No slipper in the room. The room has tv with no channel. Staff are mostly foreigner, Nepalese, philipines, etc. mostly do not friendly.
