Modern & clean hotel, with efficient friendly staff. Near a bus station, but it was a safe area. Amenities were amazing. Valet, security, bar area, food delivery dropoff area, etc. Beautiful modern lobby, fast elevators, immaculate & well stocked, modern room. I was able to get a "Grab" (Malaysia's Uber)for about $4 to downtown, which was usually about a 10 min drive.

I knew I was under good hands as AC Hotel is under the Bonvoy group. I checked in close to midnight and the front desk person was energized, friendly and helpful. Room was clean as expected. Though, bedding and pillows were uncomfortable, but bearable. But this might be a personal preference. I would still recommend AC Hotel giving its cleanliness, service and brand.

Cleanliness is good but missing body lotion. Air con is a bit of noisy and big noise in the morning around 5 AM due to railway operations. Hotel is too close to the track. In addition, hotel requested me to pay accommodation tax even though receipt states clearly taxes had been paid during booking.

Disappointing experience

I had a very disappointing experience with this property. I was denied the room I booked because the hotel claimed their system does not sync properly with Hotels.com. The hotel was fully booked and overbooked, and they moved me to a sister property, which is a 3-star hotel compared to what I originally booked. They promised me an upgrade and assured me that the arrangement had been communicated clearly. When I arrived at the sister hotel, however, I was told no upgrades were possible as they were also fully booked. Instead, they offered late checkout and free breakfast, but my original booking already included breakfast, and since I was flying early in the morning, late checkout was useless to me. To make matters worse, the room they finally assigned me had not even been cleaned. Used towels were left on the floor, completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one under the Marriott brand. If you are considering booking Marriott through Hotels.com, think twice. The lack of coordination between their systems and the poor service recovery I experienced left me extremely disappointed.

Good despite noise from LRT

Overall, the hotel is great for exploring KL. The only downside is the noise from the LRT which can be quite disturbing for light sleeper. Whilst we asked for room that is not directly facing the track, the noise is there.
