If you are only interested in a decent pool then this is the place for you because it has nothing else to offer. We booked a bamboo fan bungalow, not expecting the world as it was the lowest price option (yet still £40 a night which is quite pricey for thailand) but it was not nice at all. Had an unclean feel to it, was practically the size of the double bed and the bathroom/wet room was disgusting and mouldy. The staff werent particularly friendly and told us our breakfast wasnt included even though our confirmation email said we did have it included. All the food and drinks were double the price, if not more, than other places and it wasnt anything special (70baht for a can of ice tea that is 12 baht in 7 eleven and 30 baht in most restraunts). The location wasnt really a problem for us and we cant deny the view was beautiful but would not reccommend as the service is so poor and lack of value for money. Never again!!
We booked a 5 night stay here with friends over New Year. We were picked up by a shuttle service (luckily we spotted our hotel sign at the pier as we hadn’t been told we would receive a shuttle service) - which took us back to the hotel. The hotel location itself is out the way of Phi Phi village, by about 10min walk (which has its pros and cons) but it was a real hike (an actual hike) up into the forest. The views were amazing, but were the only real selling point of the hotel. We paid for a basic bungalow with AC, which really was VERY basic. The room was actually the size of the double bed, and the bathroom was a wet room, which didn’t drain well so the floor was constantly wet. Only towels/water and a safe were provided in the room (no storage space for clothes or fridge),and the water was not replaced after the first day. We had to extend one night, and upgrade to a deluxe room because the room we had initially booked was full. This was a much nicer experience and should have been the type of room we got in the first place for the money. There was a fridge/wardrobe and was much bigger. Breakfast was well below average, toast and a tray of eggs and fruit available. Eggs often ran out before the end of breakfast and was not replaced. Staff also didn’t replace plates and we often had to wait and ask for someone to help. The food and bar open during the day served overpriced meals/cocktails/beer - and manic loud music is blasted sporadically - occasionally Celine Dion made an appearance which was a nice change. Music can then constantly be heard from the beach parties and bars until about 3am (sometimes 5am.. unsure which days are REAL party days!?), and it is LOUD because you’re staying in wooden cabins. Generally we found the staff okay, the language barrier was a real struggle at times but it felt as though they were just about holding the place together. The cleaners left my clothes on the floor a few times after cleaning/making the bed, which was VERY annoying when I’d left them on the bed beforehand. Overall, the distance from the beach provided a little space from the crazy of the village but the hike was a little intense every time you wanted to leave/come back to the place. Views were great but everything else was below average, and seriously overpriced for what it was. Come here if you want super basic, lots of mosquitoes, party party and don’t mind a hike. Don’t come as couples or with kids looking for peace and quiet.
Greeted by not so friendly staff. Quite a hike to get there. And I mean like you actually have to HIKE to get there. So walking back at night after dinner is unbearable. There is NOT a beach. Pool is okay. Drinks were kind of pricy. Room was pretty gross and worn down. Bugs everywhere. Not a very safe locking system on the doors. Wouldn’t recommend staying here in Koh Phi Phi.
Stayed here for 5 nights in July and had a great time. The room are basic, some have no air-con but it wasn't that bad. There is also a huge hill up to the hotel but it's on the way to the view point. The highlight is definitely the pool view and they let you play your own music on the speakers there of your ask behind the bar.
Greeted by friendly staff that carried our luggage to the reception. The walk is around 15 minutes from the pier, which includes a steep climb. This is expected however for the great poolside view. The room was a huge disappointment to say the least. Tiny room with only enough space for the bed. The toilet ends up being wet as it is not separated from the shower. Worst part was sandy bed linen and terrible smell. Loud music was played well past midnight, however this was the case around the whole island. Bring insect repellent as the mosquitoes are an issue. Don't judge the photos of the room provided as they are not an accurate representation.
Three stars only because of the view from the pool.... the hot water in the shower is nice considering Thai standards....breakfast is horrible (spaghetti and eggs with instant coffee). People review it's loud which is true but it's loud all over the island due to the parties around... if you want it to be quiet go to the north side of the island... staff is difficult minimal English by the pool and the music is horrible. Don't expect anything fancy.. place is above average due to the good views from the pool.
The place is far from the city centre (20 min uphill). Staff did not give proper directions on how to get there. A fan is not enough to cope with the heat and humidity of the place. Rooms have only glass sliding doors and walls are very thin. They were cooking behind my room and all the smoke went inside the room. There was no windows to close. It's got a nice swimming pool though
We stayed here for a couple of days and decided to extend, bcoz we liked it so much. The best view, good service, accomodating and friendly staff. They have bellboy waiting for you at the ferry port, they will help you carry ur luggages and its for free. But giving a tip is much appreciated. The hotel is about 12-15mins walk from the port, and a steep one going up there. They have a cozy pool with 15 sunbeds. And the view? ITS THE BESSSSST!! So relaxing, you can only hear the nature. And they serve beers, 100-150 baht. The viewpoint is just 20mins hike from the hotel as well bcoz its near to the shortcut. Over all, we were satistied of everything. Thank you guys.
The place is absolutely fantastic because of the view! Has been a pleasure waking up every morning and enjoying the wonderful landscape. The resort is very wild but it’s depends what are you looking for. Breakfast not the best. Staff incredibly helpful and friendly. They always smile at you! I loved my experience with them! Perfect place where you can meditate around the nature.
Located around 1km up the hill from the main town close to the viewpoint the location provides a lovely view from its infinity pool, additionally being one of the furthest hotels away from the party town meaning if you don't intend to party every night and you actually want some sleep this is a virtuous choice (although you can still hear, if you don't want to hear parties don't come to Phi Phi!). Price wise the hotel is one of the more budget offerings in Phi Phi as represented by the basic small fan rooms although they were fine for sleeping, as mentioned the pool is a big reason to opt for this hotel if wanting a decent pool view without splurging. Staff were friendly, allowed us to check in early and are happy to carry your bags to and from the pier to make the walk to the top easier (just look for their sign at the pier). Overall we the hotel is a good budget choice and we had no complaints other than the rooms got very warm without A/C.
