Had a two night pleasant stay. Everything was good, the view was amazing. Really nice pool. Refreshing on a hot day. However, it is located on a hill so you have to climb up. Not too bad though. Also lots of bugs in the room, especially in the bathroom. Even at one point a bug fell from the ceiling nearly on my head. Also the lighting is quite bad, very dim. And as the bungalows are located in the forest, make sure to bring lots and lots of mosquito repellent as I came out covered in bites. Overall, great stay, amazing island, would come back with more insect repellent sprays.

Let me first off say that the views are absolutely amazing. In order to get those views, you've got to be pretty far up some hills and away from the center of town. Its still within walking distance, but its quite a trek because of the hills. The breakfast is good, not great, and only included with some rooms. I wouldn't pay for it. The pool is amazing. The staff spoke poor English and were generally unhelpful. The staff was the greatest frustration of this place.

Il start with the positives. Great view for breakfast and from certain rooms. WIFI is also good. But AC in the room is abysmal, add to this the noise from the beach. Breakfast consists of scrambled egg and rice. You have to climb Mount Everest to get back to the hotel every night. We had to contend with cockroaches and preying mantis on our balcony the night we stayed.

Clean room no too pricey. Best things are the views from the bungalows and the bar too. I had no breakfast included in my reservation, and paid an extra 200 baht for some coffee, toast and scrambled eggs. Super friendly and welcoming staff.

The Phuphaya provided the most beautiful view I've ever witnessed, but you need to do some mild hiking to get to it. My boyfriend and I booked the Phuphaya knowing it was farther away from the center of the action on Phi Phi (~10 minute walk), but just know no matter where you are on the island you'll hear bumpin' music until 2am or so. The room was very clean, AC and wifi were top notch, and the staff was accommodating. Definitely worth the value!!

The only good part was the beautiful view. The rooms were not clean and who knows when they last cleaned it. The staff weren't nice at all, breakfast was bad -the bread had insects and was not freash. We paid for the expensive room and got the lousy one -full of mosquitoes and no hot shower, they moved us to a different room which was a bit better but still wasn't clean. The noise at night is terrible but not thier fault. You can get better then this hotel.

The first real issue with this is resort is the noise disturbance from the beach bars down the way. I spent 1 night and the unbearable music continued until after 3 am. I was due to move next door to The Cobble Beach for the following 3 nights but moved away all together to the other side due to the noise. The room was very average, old linen with holes in it. The breakfast consisted of a tub of fried rice and a tub of cold scrambled egg, some toast, and then water melon and pine apple. The staff member upon arrival was friendly and helpful.

Well first of all we have stayed in this resort for 3 nights without doing a proper research. Booked it very last minute. We are a young couple with one year old baby. I would definitely not recommend this resort for families. First of all check in was not bad, we were picked up from the pier. There was not a person holding a sign but we asked others soon manage to get find the guy who works for the resort. We were shown our room we initially booked a room with fan how stupid we were there was no way we could stay in there it was absolutely boiling there was no mosquito nets so we could not open the windows. But if you are looking for a tradition Thai adventure this room is for you! We upgraded to air-con room which was a very very very basic room no fridge nothing 2 bottles of water was provided only on the first day. Pool was dirty no way I could let my son swim in it. Pool bar was dirty like very very very dirty. Bartender was smoking and playing with his phone no attention to costumers at all. His face makes you regret that you went to bar to order. Well! view, it is nice. Next morning we woke up hungry went down for breakfast and Woaaawwww there was nothing apart from 3 trays. Scrambled egg, veggie fried rice and watermelon with pineapple...Aww sorry the toast machine as well with some white toast. We never ate there never went to the bar and pool again. It is close to the centre but requires a bit of climbing. I have knee issues however was fine with it. Music is something but everywhere is the same around the centre. If I go phi phi again I would stay in long beach. If you avoid hotel facility and use it as somewhere to crush than I guess it is not bad.

We visited Phuphaya this week with intention to stay for 3 nights. There was 5 adults and 2 children in our group. On arrival at the pier the workers who direct people to their hotels laughed when we told them where we were going. We had a long hot walk to get there.. finally we were greeted by a small tiny pick up truck and told it would take us the rest of the way. The hill was literally so steep we all thought the pickup was going to topple over it was horrendous. The pathway up was so steep and slippy and full of rubbish, sewerage and exposed pipes. The stench was absolutely unbearable. When we got into the hotel grounds the bungalows are all laid out so in Hill ways with no regard for safety for children or adults for that matter. The staff at check was a cheeky moody ignorant man who grunted at us when we made any request. The infitity pool was disgusting.. my niece took my children in to cool them down while I checked into the rooms. When I seen the dirt of it I nearly died. The water was murky disgusting God knows what type of crap goes on in it. They must try mask the dirt by adding extra chlorine as my neices bikini began to colour run. As a group we decided the place was absolutely filthy and a health and safety hazard for us all. The walk into town was only 15 minutes but the steep slippery slopes full of dirt and grime made it a death trap. My family didn't even see their rooms thankfully as they would have dropped dead with the state of them. I spoke to the check in guy and told him that it wasn't possible for us to stay, I listed many reasons and asked for a refund to which he just kept whinging back to me and making pathetic faces. We lost 3 nights accommodation there... we had to leave and go down town and find something that was not a death trap. The mosquitoes too up at that place was unbelievable. Please belive me when I say, this place shouldn't be open it is a kip a horrible discusting dirty smelly dump. Iv never wrote a review before and I have been travelling around the world for about 15 years now and I have never ever left a property because it wasn't suitable. Iv slept in some rough places.. but nothing comes close to this manky hole. Do your self a huge favour and save your time.. do not book this kip

We stayed in a basic room for 2 nights at the end of february during our 1 month trip in Thailand. I booked this hotel because of the view and expected comfort from a pricey hotel. It was disapointing, the mousticaire was not adapted for our room window letting all kind of crowlies AND moskitos in. The pool was a bathtube overcrowded by guests of nearby resort/guesthouse/hotel. The staff were NOT nice and helping at all. I went to the pool bar and asked for any fresh fruit juice (easy to get normally) and the guy said they just had canned juice that were not kept in the fridge or fresh beer, while watching his pc and smoking ... Internet is working ONLY in the pool area and not in the rooms. I asked the reception and they said it is working I ask him to come to my room to show him he said it is working. They do pool party (when is this pool getting cleaned at all?!) which are noisy and in the rooms you can hear all of the loud music from the village too(feels like you're sleeping on a couch in a nightclub).. During the day you are searching for some shade but the restaurant area and the pool area have only 4 beach umbrelas and people to have some shadow are sitting in the stairs on the restaurant floor. The price was high for an hotel in Thailand even in Phi Phi and I was expecting a better welcome and stay. TO AVOID AT ALL COST!
